Chapter 560: Opening the two Hidden Gates??

The Gate of Life was found in the heart, while the Gate of Death was found in his conscience sea, each of the two was located in an extremely vital location.

A small mistake or slip of concentration would immediately spell the end for him, and he would die without understanding how he died.

So, he had to be extremely careful as he dealt with the two points at the same time. Normally body cultivators would make all those preparations just to open one of those gates, and here he was trying both.

People who didn't know him, and saw him like that would most probably think that he was courting death on his own, or perhaps he had a death wish and was committing suicide.

But he didn't care what people thought about him at that moment, he didn't have the time, or the capacity to think about them.

He was totally concentrated on his own body, or to be more precise he was concentrated on his heart and his conscience sea.

His attention was split in two at that moment, and he couldn't falter in either of them if he wanted to keep his life and succeed.

His concentration needed to be impeccable, so he totally closed all his senses to the outside, erasing the outside world.

He could feel like he could see inside his heart, like he could look inside every tissue, and every cell of his heart, and at the same time like he could cover every inch of his conscience sea.

Sending the physical energy inside his body towards those two points without stop, he waited for them to go beyond the saturation point, and breakthrough the limit.

Opening the Gate of Life and the Gate of Death was nothing easy, as he felt like a normal mortal person, trying to push open at the same time two over 200 meters wide doors.

Climbing Everest seemed like a little kid's game at that moment, like picking up a grain of rice from the ground.

Still, he didn't give up, the only way to climb the top was to never give up no matter what happened, and he knew that better than anyone else.

The moment one gave up walking forward, it was the moment that his fall started, and Tianlong Yun knew that better than anyone.

In his previous life, it was because he had no ambition to go beyond his Crown Prince title that he was plotted, and betrayed.

If he had shown ambition to climb higher than just that title of his, then most probably even Tianlong Mei would have thought twice before betraying him.

But that was all in the past now, he had already learned his lesson, and had no plan of doing the same mistake again.

For that reason, no matter how difficult, no matter how tiring, no matter how impossible it looked he had no intention of giving up.

He kept leading his physical energy towards the two points without stop, even though each step towards his goal was the same as walking over a sea of flames, and a mountain of blades.

Still, he kept pushing forward with everything he had, with every dreg of strength and energy that he could muster at that point.

His progress was slow and small, but it existed, with every step he took he was one step closer to opening the two doors.

That black matter and black energy were being sucked non-stop inside his body, and his Nirvana Flames were burning the same way.

His whole body was lightened up like a torch, but it didn't matter at that moment, as the progress was still really minute.

If he kept the same rate, then he might be able to open the two Hidden Gates only after a year or so, and that was quite a long time.

He didn't have the luxury of wasting a year in that place, and in that situation. The war had already started and this was the best time for him to start acting.

So, while the slow and steady way was the best, he couldn't follow that path, so he decided to risk it a bit.

With those thoughts in mind, he decided to lower the rate of his Nirvana Flames, and let the black energy sip deeper into his body.

The pain was surely killing him, as each extra cell brought him a bit of extra pain, but he had to do it if he wanted to do this as quickly as possible.

He knew that it was impossible for him to bear more than that amount of pain for a long amount of time, so he decided to either go big or go home.

Meaning that he would either do this in one fell swoop, or would most probably blow up, and suffer the consequences, never able to try this again.

It was a truly dangerous and risky move, but he had to do it. The other choice seemed much simpler and guaranteed but that was only if he was able to bear with that pain for a year or so.

With that decision made he let that black energy sip deeper and deeper inside his body until it reached around an inch close to the two Hidden Gates that he wanted to open.

At that moment, his faltering Nirvana Flames exploded in full power and started battling that dark energy once again.

The rate and the process were the same, but this time the distance that the created physical energy needed to travel was much shorter, and the amount of the created energy was much bigger.

As the process was happening in a larger area of his body, the created physical energy was clearly larger and more powerful.

At that moment, he felt like he turned from a small boy trying to push open those two doors into a giant that could push them open with one hand.

Too much of anything was never good, so even him turning into a giant all of a sudden and pushing the two doors open wasn't a perfect situation either.

If he used all the physical energy that he gathered at that moment not only would he open the two Hidden Gates, but he might even crush them open, and that was something that he couldn't happen.

If he managed to open the two Hidden Gates, then it would be on his hand when to close them, and when to keep them open, but if he destroyed them, then they would be open all the time.

It was the same as building a dam to control the floods, if you could control the opening then you could control the flow in order to not cause damage to the surroundings.

But if the opening was completely destroyed then the dam would be useless, and the level of water inside would never raise above the natural.

Cultivators were people that tried to collect energy above the natural level, going against the Heavens and creation to have more than the others.

For that reason, if the Gate of Life was completely destroyed, and was unable to function anymore, then Tianlong Yun would be losing 50% of his vitality with each passing instant.

His strength would temporarily grow beyond logical levels, but at the same time his life force and vitality would slowly disperse completely and he would die.

And this was taking into consideration only the Gate of Life, as Tianlong Yun wasn't fighting just one battle at that moment but two.

Even amidst that inhuman pain, he had to concentrate and control his strength, and physical energy, in order to just push open the doors and not crush them.

He had never been afraid of challenges and had no intention of starting to fear them either, as he tried his best to control himself and the energy inside his body.

He forcefully stuck his feet on the ground, and even though there was a big wave crashing behind him, he still managed to hold back, and not let the wave push him forward.

Then slowly he pushed his hands forwards towards the doors, and just touched them a bit. It was just a small touch, and yet it felt like he was using some kind of ram equipment to push them open.

The two Hidden Gates trembled quite a bit, and made some screeching noises but didn't open. It looked like his own body was mocking him.

But he didn't dare to get angry at that moment, even though he felt like he was suddenly being stabbed by thousands of blades, he didn't dare to get angry or impatient.

He had to be extremely careful, even though he felt that he was about to lose his conscience soon, and he had to act quicker.

Clenching his teeth until blood was leaking out of his gums, and even his jaw was showing signs of deformation, he lightly, extremely lightly pushed on the doors.

That was the last move he was able to make inside his own body, as he suddenly opened his eyes on the outside, made a strong and high jump surpassing even the generating barrier, and punched in all directions.

Those were simple and physical punches, like a kid punching around without any sense of direction, as those powerhouses around him even had the intention of approaching and capturing him.

Even though there were still traces of that dark, corrupted, and malicious black energy in his body, he seemed to have lost his mind at that moment.

In fact, quite a few powerhouses approached him with the intention of capturing him
