Chapter 654: Entering the Ancestor’s Graveyard
'plop, ploppp, plopppp'
Unfortunately for Duke Vlod killing intent wasn't the only thing leaking from his body, as drops of blood started crashing on the floor.
Smelling the sense of blood everyone was quite shocked for a moment, but then they thought that it made sense since Ina was much weaker than Duke Vlod.
Their expression turned into pure shock when their other senses fell on the situation though, as they saw the little princess Ina hold Duke Vlod's heart in her hand.
Her lithe and delicate looking hand had turned into some sort of a claw and had pierced through the poor Duke Vlod's chest while grabbing his heart on the way.
'ba-dum, ba-dum, ba-dum'
Everyone that was seeing the scene and hearing that heartbeat, felt like in the hands of the little princess wasn't Duke Vlod's heart, but their own.
It was horrifying for each and every one of them, this was the first time they were witnessing something like this, especially since it involved someone from the young generation as the little princess.
Duke Vlod couldn't believe his eyes at that moment, he felt like he was amidst some dream or nightmare. This couldn't be real, could it?
But before he could even say an extra word, the little princess Ina tightened her little hand, as his hand exploded in blood and meat pieces, while his vitality was being absorbed by her.
The best way for Vampires to grow stronger was certainly using the blood and vitality of their victims or their kin, but to protect their Clan it wasn't allowed to absorb their kin's blood and vitality.
The only time when something like that was allowed to happen, was in a Death Duel. Ina's actions were certainly in order with the rules of the clan, but many high nobles felt pressured.
They all thought that Ina had been playing the pig to eat the tiger and that in place of Duke Vlod it could have been any one of them.
Furthermore, the scene of one of them falling so easily, losing all his strength, and even his own life, made them all fearful of what might come to them.
So, when they were finally able to regain composure after that wave of shock, they immediately turned to the King with their complaints ready.
"Your Majesty the little princess was playing the pig to eat the tiger! It was clear that she had evil intentions towards Duke Vlod!
Please, we implore you to punish the little princess!"
The older one became the more fearful he grew of death and losing his life. These guys weren't any different, even more so, when they had lived for a few centuries already.
The King's face went completely dark and gloomy as he heard that because it was clear that these old things had grown too shameless with their words, and their requests.
But before he could say anything, Ina's voice rang through the Court,
"Hmph~! Shameless things! When did I ever hide my strength, and pretend like a pig? The King and the Grand Elders can easily testify to it!
Furthermore, from the moment I entered this place it had been that old dog barking against me all the time, I just answered in kind!
I won't mind doing the same to the rest of you as well, whoever thinks that I did something wrong can come out here and challenge me to a Death Duel.
I won't refuse anyone!"
The King's ugly and gloomy face was immediately removed as he smiled at his little daughter and then turned to the whole crowd in the Court Room.
"You heard Our daughter, whoever isn't convinced can come and challenge her! Even if you kill her, this King pledges not to make trouble for you!"
The King's words rang through the whole Court like the verdict of heavens, but who in his right mind would ever dare to challenge that devil?
"This"
Even some of the strongest among the group couldn't kill Duke Vlod in one move, yet she had managed to do it without breaking a sweat.
As if that wasn't enough, then she had just absorbed Duke Vlod's blood and vitality meaning that her level of strength had certainly increased or would increase in the upcoming fight.
If they did challenge her to a Death Duel, most probably they would end up just furnishing her with more energy to raise her level, than actually harm her.
So, no one dared to come in front and take the brunt of the words, and attack. They were extremely afraid of death, even if the 5th had a 100% probability of killing her, they still wouldn't do it.
It just wasn't worth it!
"Hmph~! Spineless cowards~!"
"Hhaahah~! That's right little princess they are all spineless cowards! Hahahhaah~!"
"Oh!? Does this mean that you aren't then Duke Oglas? Your side can come and try it too if you want to!"
"You"
Arrogant!
Extremely arrogant!
But she had the right to be arrogant with her level of strength, few of these old fogies were actually her opponent, and the rest would be just bloodstones for her.
Duke Oglas's face went dark red, but he didn't want to provoke this little devil so he didn't continue with his words.
He had thought of taking this opportunity to deal a hard blow to his faction's enemies, but he hadn't been able to.
When this happened, the faces of the guys that had been opposing her eased a little bit, because this showed that this little princess was still the same strength brute that they knew.
So, despite the fact that they hated her and feared her a lot at the moment, they still decided to lower their heads, and not continue bickering with her.
But while these guys eased up, the King's face was getting gloomier and uglier by the moment. He had already understood that his Court was separated into many factions.
It was just that he had never understood how dastardly cowards had these old things truly become. He felt like he had truly lost face in this case.
On the other hand, the little princess seemed satisfied with their reaction, as she didn't give a damn about these guys anymore, turned towards the King and said,
"Your Majesty, the reason this little girl requested your presence today was because she has finished her absorption of the power bestowed upon her by the Honored Ancestor.
If possible, this little one would request to enter the Ancestors Graveyard once again and receive more guidance from the Honored Ancestors soul."
Hearing her request, and her words the whole Court Room went silent. This devil was already the greatest scare of their lives at the moment, just what would happen if she entered once again.
Thinking like that, all the factions seemed to forget about their current differences and problems as they were ready to jump and ask the King to refuse.
On King, the few Grand Elders on top of their heads were enough to scare them for their lives, they couldn't allow another existence as such to terrify them.
Unfortunately, the King didn't seem to want to hear their rabble, as he for the first time started laughing out loud, and said,
"Hhahahaha~! Our daughter is truly strong and talented! Is Our Vampire Clans good Karma to have someone like you on our side!
You have truly not disappointed Our expectations of you. This King will gladly allow you to enter the Ancestors Graveyard and receive the Ancestor's teachings."
The faces of each and every one of the high nobles in the Court Room went immediately dark, gloomy, and ugly as they seemed to have heard their death punishment at that moment.
Just what kind of shit had they stepped upon to receive such bad luck today? It was just mind-blowing to them.
On the other hand, the little princess didn't seem to care much about their expressions and thoughts as she quickly bowed down to her father to express her gratitude,
"Thank you, Your Majesty. This little one promises to never disappoint Lord Father and become a pillar to the Vampire Clan!"
"Well said, well said! You may go now!"
With that said, and the permission received the little princess didn't stay there anymore, as she immediately headed towards her destination.
The Ancestors Graveyard was at the back of the Vampire Royal Palace. In fact, it was a dark and long cave under the belly of a large mountain.
The structure not only served as the Mausoleum of the Ancestors but also a great defensive wall against the enemies, as the entrance of the mountain was blocked by a barrier.
No one who didn't have the Vampire blood in their system would be able to pass that barrier, and if they tried they would be killed immediately from the barrier.
The little princess walked calmly, naturally, and confidently towards the barrier in the eyes of the people accompanying her, but suddenly she stopped and seemed worried for a moment.
Still, she managed to quickly regain her composure and calm without being noticed of her slight slip-up, and start walking with the same expression once again.
The moment that she reached the barrier she couldn't help but get a deep breath before taking another step to the inside.
While she was passing the barrier her eyes were closed for some weird reason, as if she didn't want to witness something that she didn't like to.
It was only when she finally passed the barrier and appeared on the other side with nothing happening that she finally opened her eyes and took a deep breath before showing excitement
