Chapter 31: Morning
On Monday morning, Coven got out of bed before six o'clock.
After putting on his clothes, he glanced at his roommates, who were sleeping soundly on the other two beds, and then left the dormitory with light steps.
When he went down to the first floor, there was no one in the public lounge. Coven kept walking and pushed open the portrait of the fat lady, arriving at the corridor on the eighth floor.
"Who is it? Why are you out so early?"
Inside the portrait, the fat lady's half-awake voice sounded.
"It's me, Coven Quinn." Coven reached out and closed the 'door'.
The fat lady finally saw Coven. After a moment of realization, she asked, "Where are you going so early?"
"I'm going out for a walk to catch some fresh air." Coven responded with a smile and asked, "By the way, today is a new week. What is the password for this week?"
"Ah? I just woke up. I haven't thought about it yet." The fat lady was a little embarrassed.
"Why don't we simply change the password to Gryffindor?" Coven suggested with a smile.
"No, no, no. If that's the case, the password will be too simple." When the fat lady heard this, she shook her head repeatedly. "And it doesn't match my style. Let me think about it now..."
"Yes, that's right. This week's password will be changed to 'bee honey'."
"Yes, Madam. I will remember it." Coven turned around and said goodbye at the same time, "Then you can continue to rest for a while. I will go first."
The fat lady did not respond. She covered her mouth with her left hand and yawned. Her right hand waved perfunctorily as a response...
..
After passing through the long corridor, Coven arrived at the magic staircase tower. He could not help but sigh when he saw that the moving stairs leading to the bottom were swaying at the other passages.
Looking around, the next moment, Coven jumped down with a 'whoosh'.
Bang!
A dull thud sounded, and Coven's figure smashed into the moving stairs on the seventh floor, causing the stairs to tremble. Coven paid no attention to this. After looking down, he reached out to hold the handrail of the stairs, lifted his leg, and jumped down again.
He jumped to the sixth floor, followed the stairs by the wall to the fifth floor, and jumped again
From the fourth floor to the third floor, Coven jumped off the stairs to the second floor. This time, he did not follow the rotating stairs by the wall. He directly jumped down from the second floor of the moving stairs and directly jumped to the bottom.
After landing, he looked up at the constantly moving magic stairs. Coven shook his head and stepped out of the tower.
After passing through the corridors, towers, and auditorium, Coven left the castle, walked through the grass, woods, and finally came to the cliff on the edge of the island.
Looking back, he found that his sight was blocked by a small forest, and no one in the castle could see him through the window.
After looking around, Coven nodded with satisfaction.
Walking to the center of the clearing, Coven took a deep breath. Then, he took a stance, calmed his mind, and began to practice boxing...
After hitting Body Combat Technique a few times, he picked up a dead branch and used it to hit Warcraft a few times. Finally, he picked up some small stones around him. He shook his wrist and threw them out like hidden weapons. It could be considered as a warm-up for Gun Fighting.
Finally, Coven wiped the sweat off his face with his sleeve, took out his wand, and pointed it at himself. He added a 'clean up' spell to himself. His clothes, which were wet by the mist and sweat in the morning, instantly became dry and neat.
He roughly calculated the time, and it was almost eight o'clock. Therefore, Coven did not continue to walk outside the castle. Instead, he went straight to the main entrance of the castle.
....
After passing through the small forest that blocked his vision, Coven turned his head and squinted at the tower where the dormitory was located. He found that the window that he had deliberately opened was not closed.
Seeing this, Coven took out his wand and used two 'Levitating Charm' in a row.
Soon, the Herbology textbook and the History of Magic textbook flew one after another and were caught by Coven.
Next, Coven continued to walk forward, planning to go to the auditorium hall to read books and wait for breakfast to start.
...
At the same time, in the tower where the professor's office was located, Professor McGonagall and Professor Rolanda Hooch of the flight class were standing side by side by the window in the corridor.
Coven used the Levitating Charm summoning textbook movement and was completely seen by the two.
Seeing that Coven successfully caught the textbook, Professor Huo Qi of the flight class could not help but sigh, "A beautiful 'Levitating Charm'!"
Professor McGonagall, who was holding a cup of coffee beside her, smiled with satisfaction.
"He's only in the first year." Professor Hooch sighed. "At this age, he has mastered the non-shaking magic wand. If he practices more in the future, the no-wand spell casting is almost perfect."
"This child is a genius." Professor McGonagall finally spoke, stroking the coffee cup in her hand. She said with appreciation, "Not only is he smart, but he is also very hardworking. We professors who have seen him once thought he would be sent to Ravenclaw. I didn't expect that we, Gryffindor, would come in the end."
"Oh?" Mrs. Huo Qi asked in surprise, "Do you know this child? Whose family does he belong to? Why don't I have any impression of him?"
"He is the child that Ollivander has been monitoring." Professor McGonagall explained, "We met him at the wand shop when we went to the first year to buy new students during the holidays."
"I see." Mrs. Hooch suddenly understood and then was stunned. "He is... the child who was reported in the newspaper? The second child who survived the death curse?"
"It's him," Professor McGonagall confirmed.
"Oh, poor child..." Madam Hooch said with a pitiful expression, "I heard that many wizards wanted to go to his side to gain some benefits, hoping to get some luck."
"Yes." Professor McGonagall nodded, and her expression turned slightly sour. "After that, the academy and the Ministry of Magic operated at the same time, allowing the child to stay away from being disturbed."
"I hope he will continue to be lucky in the future." Hearing this, Madam Hooch did not say anything more. Instead, she said, "Breakfast time is almost up. Let's go down to the auditorium."
"Okay."
Professor McGonagall responded. She first turned back to the office and put down the coffee cup, and then went to the auditorium with Madam Hooch.
....
At eight o'clock, the breakfast time in the auditorium began, and it lasted for 45 minutes.
After breakfast, there was still half an hour left before the class. This time, it was used to let the students eat or return to the dormitory to prepare the textbooks.
Coven had already prepared the textbooks needed in the morning, so he did not return to the dormitory. Instead, he waited until the time was almost up and then left the castle with a few Gryffindor freshmen, walking to the greenhouse outside the castle, where Herbology's class was...
