Chapter 36 - Realized Her Proposed
Chapter 36 - Realized Her Proposed
Such a bright morning, as bright as Bryana's blossoming heart. Yes, the woman was humming singing Celine Dion's song title "The power of love" while combing her hair in front of the dressing table mirror.
After feeling neat enough by wearing a knee-length cream dress combined with a top like a yellowish-white shirt, and letting her slightly wavy hair fall beautifully, Bryana looks so charming by adding a little make-up to her face.
The woman walked to the walk-in closet with white shades. There are several special cabinets for storing clothes, shoes, bags, and accessories for the collection. There is also a large mirror beside the wardrobe and a door that leads to the bathroom.
"Hopefully he is awake and in a better condition," Bryana muttered as she picked up a small cream-colored branded bag, then put her wallet, smartphone, and some make-up equipment in there.
After taking the bag, Bryana switched to taking the red high heels and immediately put them on. She walked elegantly out of the walk-in closet and walked straight out of the room.
"Mommy!" Calvin, who had just left his room, was glowing at his mother, whom he had not seen since last night.
"Hey, honey. You're so tidy." Bryana immediately squatted and hugged Calvin, then kissed his fragrant cheek because he was always given a special powder for children.
"Where did you go last night?" Calvin asked while looking up at his mother who was getting up and led him downstairs by down the stairs followed by Lauren who was also ready to take Calvin to school.
"Mommy has an urgent business, honey. and as long as you know, mommy was confronted by bad people," explained Bryana a little while telling the story.
"Bad guy? Does he have a gun?" Calvin asked with enthusiasm. It seemed he thought it would be really fun fighting bad guys.
"No," Bryana replied, then glanced at the still-closed door to Dean's room. "The thugs didn't carry a gun, but there were plenty of them, and the uncle Dean fought them all so tough," she continued as she led her son into the dining room.
"Really?" Calvin looked amazed.
"Yes, but Mom pity Uncle Dean. He's injured and his body is bruised," Bryana explained, then turned to glance at Louis, who had finished breakfast with the other homeworkers. she paused and glanced back at the door of Dean's room which was still tightly closed but Dean wasn't outside the room either. Is he still in the room?
"Louis," Bryana called. She glanced at Lauren and asked her to take Calvin to breakfast while she was about to talk to Louis.
Louis turned his head to look at Bryana who walked over to him. Currently, he was standing near the dividing door between the living room and dining room.
"Is Dean not up yet?" Bryana asked after arriving in front of Louis.
"I don't know but not, because I haven't seen him since this morning," answered Louis.
"What is wrong with him?" Bryana gets worried as she glances at Dean's room.
Without waiting for Louis's response again, Bryana immediately walked toward Dean's room worriedly. of course, she was worried because usually her bodyguard would always wake up early for breakfast and wait for her to go to work.
Arriving at the door, Bryana immediately knocked, shouting, "Dean ... It's me, Jill."
until several times knocked, the door did not open, not even a response from Dean. Bryana immediately turned the door handle which was not locked. She immediately entered and found the bodyguard still on the bed curled up in a blanket.
"Dean, are you okay?" Bryana asked as she walked over to Dean, then looked down and touched the bodyguard's forehead with her palm. "God, you have a fever. There must be some part of your body that is injured."
Bryana remembered that since last night Dean had had a lot of pain in his stomach. "Dean, better we go to the doctor? I'll take you."
"No need, it's just a common fever," Dean spoke in a very hoarse voice. Jeez, he's so helpless when it's like that.
"Don't underestimate your condition there could be parts of your body that are injured because they went too far when beating you. Please don't refuse to be treated, because if you are sick, who will take care of me?"Bryana pleaded with a tinge of sadness on her face. somehow she felt like she was hurt when saw that her beloved bodyguard looked weak.
"But if we go to the hospital, I'm afraid someone will block us while I can't fight yet," said Dean weakly. he remembered that Louis couldn't take him because he had to protect Calvin, who was always wanted to be kidnapped by Alex.
Bryana nodded in understanding, biting her lower lip with a very visible tinge of sadness on her face. She continued to pay attention to the part of Dean's face that was bruised last night, now starting to turn blue and that handsome face is also pale, his lips are dry. Ah, she missed seeing her fit and strong bodyguard.
"Okay, I'll contact my regular doctor," said Bryana then reached into the small branded bag that she had been carrying. She took her smartphone and tried to contact her regular doctor whom she named "Dante" on her contact number.
"Hello, Dr. Dante," said Bryana when she was connected with her regular doctor.
"Yes, Mrs. Bryana. Is there anything I can help you with?" asked the doctor from the telephone.
"Doctor, please come to my house. My bodyguard is sick and I want you to check it out," Bryana exclaimed with a huff glance at Dean who was now leaning on a pile of pillows with a topless body.
"All right, I'll be there in a moment. Maybe in 30 minutes, I'll be at your house."
"Okay, then I'll hang up the phone."
"Yes, Ma'am."
Bryana immediately disconnected the phone and put her smartphone back in her bag. She turned to stare at Dean who was pale and limp.
"Dean, do you want me to get clothes for you?" Bryana asked pityingly.
"Yes, just bring me a thin t-shirt," said Dean huffily because his body was sick.
Bryana immediately got out of bed and walked to the wardrobe. She opened the wardrobe and looked for the thin t-shirt Dean was referring to among a few other clothes.
After finding the thin t-shirt Dean was referring to, Bryana immediately gave it away. Dean immediately put it on and leaned his head on the head of the bed.
"I'll take some dish for you to breakfast," Bryana said.
"No, I'll take my food after being examined by the doctor," said Dean. Of course, he will not be comfortable if he is served by his employer, because it means that he is the one who has to serve his employer.
"Don't argue, Dean. I will treat you until you recover," Bryana shouted then immediately got up and would walk out of the room.
"Jill," Dean called when Bryana just reached the door.
Bryana turned to glance at Dean. "Why?"
"Thanks for taking care of me. I'm lucky to have such a good employer as you." Dean smiled warmly at Bryana.
"I feel obliged to do it because ...." Bryana's words stopped because there was no way she could tell her feelings. 'should be him, I can't confess my feelings if he doesn't first confess his feelings.'
"Because of what?" asked Dean with a probing gaze.
"You should understand," Bryana shouted then opened the door and walked out of Dean's room.
Dean was stunned trying to understand what Bryana meant. he touches the cheek that he felt had been kissed last night, then remembers when Bryana chose him during a game at Soraya and Johnny's wedding, remembers dancing like a real couple, and remembers the kindness and care that his employer gave him.
"Oh my God, does she also like me? But why? Of the many rich men who are equal to her. why did she choose me to be her partner?" Dean began to notice Bryana's more than just employer's concern for her bodyguards. He shook his head with tears in his eyes.
Dean took out the wallet he still kept in the pocket of the pants he was currently wearing. He opened the wallet and took the photo of Clarissa that he always kept.
"'Honey, do I have to fight with a woman who is just as rich as you, who has many enemies do love her as I love you, but I'm afraid something like you will happen again.. Losing you I seemed to lose my passion for life. '
