Chapter 1910. Down to Three

1910  Chapter 1910. Down to Three

Everyone watched the Godly axe fall. Those who realized they were in the area where the axe fell immediately ran away. Although the axe was humongous, one only needed to flee to the side. The axe's area of impact was a long but narrow line, so it was not difficult to evade. Snake Asmodeus, however, could not because his movement was under lockdown.

He saw the incoming axe. Even he didn't dare to underestimate it. He couldn't move, but he could still cast a spell. A swirling chaotic energy appeared above him. Lightning gathered at the center of these swirling energies. The lightning spread until it formed a gigantic buckler.

The Godly axe arrived then. It crashed into the giant lightning buckler. The lightning buckler shattered at first impact. This took Snake Asmodeus aback. He didn't expect his defensive spell to not halt the axe even for an instant. The axe fell on him then.

The touchdown caused the earth to quake. The tremor was felt throughout the entire battlefield. Dust clouds spread from the point of impact.

Both Dragon Asmodeus and Bird Asmodeus were not in the area where the axe fell, but they, too, looked over when this massive axe hit. They were originally one body with Snake Asmodeus, so they could sense his condition. Though he was still alive, he was not unscathed.

When the dust clouds settled, a long gorge was seen along the land. The Godly axe had carved a deep wound on the earth. Snake Asmodeus was nowhere to be seen.

*

Dragon Asmodeus was preparing to throw the Chaos Lightning Lance at Arthur. He wanted to savor his opponent's terrified expression for being helpless inside his lightning cage. However, he saw no such expression from the outworlder.

Arthur instead closed his eyes while putting his katana back on its sheath. His face was calm. This confused the devil.

'Did he give up?' Dragon Asmodeus wondered. He preferred his opponents to break down in fear, not accepting their fate calmly like this.

"Hmph! Never mind," Dragon Asmodeus harrumphed. He threw the chaos lightning lance in his hand. The lance caused a thundering sound when it was released. Lightning sparks formed its trail.

Arthur's calm expression never changed. His breathing was even slower than normal. He was as serene as still water. When the lance was halfway, he finally opened his eyes. The hand on his katana hilt became a blur.

His katana went lightning-fast. A straight long line swept past the lightning that formed his cage. The combination of his sword's heart, master-level mana manipulation, and One-word Slash cut through the cage where its lightning links were the weakest. When the katana stopped, everyone could see the katana had transformed. Arthur had activated Demonize Weapon when he used Iaido. He also combined his slash with his weapon's offensive skill. The lightning cage unraveled from the slash.

The offensive skill from his Fallen Apostle's Katana was Demon God's Slash. It was a powerful single-attack skill that hit from a range. A crimson crescent formed from Arthur's swing, and it flew ahead to meet the chaos lightning lance.

Dragon Asmodeus was surprised the outworlder managed to destroy his lightning cage. However, he was confident of his chaos lightning lance. He was sure his spell would destroy the crimson crescent and strike Arthur. Arthur remained in the end motion after performing his skill. There was not enough time for Arthur to do evasive maneuvers.

Dragon Asmodeus considered his chaos lightning spell would lose some power after clashing with the crimson crescent. Arthur might survive. So, he prepared to cast another spell for a follow-up attack.

The distance between the chaos lightning lance and the crimson crescent was shortening. Then, they passed one another. The two energies grazed one another when they passed, but no collision happened.

Dragon Asmodeus was taken aback. Did the outworlder miss? He didn't mind. This just meant his chaos lightning lance would hit with full force. However, he would also be hit by the crimson crescent. The crescent was already upon him. There was not enough time to dodge. He stopped casting and swung his claw to meet the crimson crescent.

For a sword practitioner with Sword's Heart, it was almost impossible for Arthur to miss, and he didn't. His target was always Dragon Asmodeus, not the Chaos Lightning Lance.

The crimson crescent clashed with Dragon Asmodeus' claw. Dragon Asmodeus was shocked to find his claw recoiled from the impact. The power from the crimson crescent was more than he expected. The crimson crescent cut into him and left a long wound. The hard scales protecting his body cracked. Blood spurted from the wound.

While Dragon Asmodeus couldn't dodge, neither could Arthur. He sacrificed himself to land that hit on the devil. Although he sacrificed himself, he did not sacrifice his life. Avenger's final retribution kicked in when the chaos lance stabbed into him. His HP stopped dropping at 1, and he became invulnerable for a few seconds. All the punishing orbs around him turned into soul bombs and shot toward Dragon Asmodeus.

Dragon Asmodeus was still stunned by the wound he received from the crimson crescent. He failed to react when the soul bombs crashed into him. Chained explosions occurred all over his body, causing damage with each explosion.

Arthur didn't let up. He charged forward while drinking the Ultimate Healing Potion. He then used Primordial Punisher's level 90 skill, Primordial Punishment. The skill dealt 2000% physical damage to a single target under a normal situation, but the damage increased to 3000% if the target had hit Arthur within the last hour. This skill also dealt splash damage to nearby enemies. But since there were none, this effect didn't take place.

The damage inflicted by this skill ignored 50% of the target's defense. It also had a high chance of stunning and wounding the opponent. Additionally, Arthur received a boost to his stats and damage for one minute after he executed Primordial Punishment.

Another gash appeared after Arthur landed the Primordial Punishment. Dragon Asmodeus was in stunned condition, both from the mental shock and the Primordial Punishment's effect. Arthur didn't let this chance go. His katana turned into a blur as he executed Shadowless Slash. Countless swordlights crisscrossed all over Dragon Asmodeus' body.

Arthur jumped away the second he sensed his opponent's mana returned to normal, which was correct because Dragon Asmodeus was about to retaliate.

Dragon Asmodeus watched his opponent with a gaze that was different than before. He lost quite a lot of HP from the exchange just now. He no longer underestimated Arthur. Arthur's action was extremely precise.

"Not bad, outworlder," Dragon Asmodeus praised.

At that time, Four Winds' Axe of the God descended from heaven. Dragon Asmodeus glanced at the heavenly axe before turning his attention in another direction. He then spoke, "You, your ethereal comrade, and your orc comrade aren't half bad. The same can't be said about your vampire comrade. The four of you are now down to three."

Arthur glanced to where Leavemealone was after hearing that. What he saw was Leavemealone lying on the ground with zero HP.

*

Several minutes before that, Leavemealone was still pinned on the ground while Bird Asmodeus kicked him relentlessly. Suzaki's flames cushioned the blows. His Supreme Reign was also active. Still, he couldn't just take this beating and did nothing.

He used Supreme Fist's level 60 skill, Supreme Ki Armor. A second layer of armor made of pure energy covered his body. This ki armor further enhanced his defense and reduced the damage he received. It also improved the recovery effect from Meditation.

He endured the pounding while measuring Bird Asmodeus' kicking rhythm. Once he got used to it, he threw an Iron Punch right when Bird Asmodeus' foot was coming down.

When the punch and kick collided, he also used Ki Outburst. The energy outburst radiated out from him was reinforced with strong flames. The combined punch and energy outburst caused Bird Asmodeus to lose his balance. The foot that was pinning Leavemealone shifted. With the pressure weakening, Leavemealone punched that foot with his other fist and freed himself. He rolled away before Bird Asmodeus could pin him down again.

"Don't think you can run from me!" Bird Asmodeus exclaimed.

With only Supreme Reign, Leavemealone couldn't compete with Bird Asmodeus' speed. The devil ran around him while sending lightning-fast kicks. Bird Asmodeus also cast spells while doing that. Multiple spells hit him as he tried his best to either parry or dodge Bird Asmodeus' kicks. He found no opportunity to counterattack.

'Calm down!' He told himself. Even with the defensive buffs, he was still losing HP. Meditate couldn't keep up with the damage he suffered. His HP bar was now below thirty percent. This was not much for an outworlder without beast form. Any common combatant would have panicked by now, but Leavemealone knew it was at this critical moment that one needed to remain calm.

He was again studying Bird Asmodeus' attack patterns. Despite being extremely fast, Bird Asmodeus did the same thing again and again. This let Leavemealone grasp the timing of his next kick. He used Cycle of Shade and Shadow right before the kick landed.

Bird Asmodeus suddenly found himself out of balance while Leavemealone shifted behind him. Leavemealone landed a Supreme Punch on his back. The impact sent him reeling several meters away.

Leavemealone was just about to continue his assault, but he sensed dangers from his surroundings.

Bird Asmodeus looked back with a grinning face. "Hehe. You are done for," he laughed.

One of the spells Bird Asmodeus cast earlier was Lightning Mine. Five lightning orbs were placed around Leavemealone. Bird Asmodeus' lightning mine was not the standard one. His mines discharged dark purple lightning.

When the orbs started discharging chaos lightning, Leavemealone took the only way out, which was up. However, Bird Asmodeus was already there waiting for him.

"Like I said, you are done for!" The devil exclaimed and kicked him hard.

Leavemealone crashed back into the ground, where chaos lightning stung his body. It didn't take long before his HP dropped to zero.
