Shinobi From Hell

Chapter 135 - Nostalgia

Chapter 135 - Nostalgia

Gozoto was indeed more monstrous than those monsters the man had faced. His body was as if to the whims of Gozoto's strength.

"Ugh," he grunted. But the man's grunt was only responded to by Gozoto bashing him to the ground.

*Thud*

"AAAAAH!" Gozoto twisted his arm to cause him further pain. All in all, the burly man was much weaker than Gozoto and Gozoto could play with him as if he were but a toy.

Klautz nodded.

"Looks like they are instructed not to kill us," Klautz whispered.

Selena could only look at his face as she blinked. For Selena the situation seemed dire but for Klauiz the situation was better than worse owing to the calmness on his face.

In fact Klautz was the only one who had reached to such a positive conclusion. The others had their faces turned ashen as they realized what kind of monster Gozoto was.

Gozoto was much stronger than Klautz to the point that Detection Jutsu would barely work on him. This showed that Gozoto greatly held back when he handled the burly man or else he would have died already.

"Ugh"

But why was Gozoto instructed not to harm the newbies?

'All of this is part of one big ploy,' Klautz thought.

Being a ninja he had never preceded this so-called 'Newbie Drill'. Only the guilds are the ones to manage this. But he had some clues to what usually happens behind the curtains.

As such Gozoto had no choice but to be lenient towards them. No matter what happens neither can he kill them nor cripple them.

"Anyone else want to be a cretin and attack me?" Gozoto asked as he twisted the man's arms all the more.

"AHHHHH!"

"Hmph," Gozoto grunted.

The spectators including Klautz could only watch. They couldn't dare so as to save the man from his misery. Even people like Verona could only bite their lips and stay quiet. Days in the tutorial zone had changed their way of thinking to a certain degree.

Not having anyone coming up Gozoto finally let go of the man. But not before he gave his abdomen one last kick.

"Ugh"

"Everyone follow me," Gozoto ordered as he turned away and began walking.

Everyone followed behind. Nervous as to what they have in store for them. Gozoto's guards covered them from all four directions ensuring that no one trails off from the group.

They walked alongside the purple river with fidgeting and scared steps. Some even tripped at the slippery green and purple moss below only to get up from the fear of the 'Residents'. After a 10 minute walk they finally reached what seemed to be man made human settlement.

A large L-shaped building which had fancy glass windows and also a large sized clock stuck in the very middle. It had around twenty stories or so was what appeared from the outside. It was a massive building in its own light.

But no matter how much familiar to the structure everyone was. Such a building standing in the middle of nowhere sure gave it that horrific touch thanks to its ominous surroundings.

*Gulp*

Klautz could hear gulping noises.

A human settlement like this? How long had it been since they had last seen one? They were swept by a sense of nostalgia. To them it was an array of hope to the end of their sufferings. But to Klautz it was the mark of a new beginning.

"Wow, is it really brought from earth?" Selena squeaked.

"Don't think too hard about it. It might look the same but the way it's constructed is different. The walls are raised using earth magic and the paint is but an application of water magic." Klautz whispered.

"What? MAGIC!!"

Klautz sighed. Of course back in the tutorial zone there were no magic classes in the trial zones, so most of the newbies aren't even aware of this concept. Let alone someone like Verona who had never played any fantasy games.

"Yes, with time you too would realize." Klautz himself had a bad relationship with magic. Breaking magical defenses in order to kill his assassination targets was no laughing matter.

Selena nodded.

All of them were taken inside such a structure as they followed behind Gozoto. It might seem like a human building but there was not a soul inside. Two huge stairways led to the first floor while the ground floor was just a huge hall with a black carpet laid out covering all of its corners.

But instead of climbing the stairs, Gozoto led him to a huge door at the edge of the hall. That seemed to be the only door the hall had.

Finally they reached what seemed like an audience stadium. In fact, there was even a stage at the center. There were several rows of seats available for everyone to sit. It seemed like they had come back to earth and had visited a drama play theatre!

"So these are made of magic as well?" Selena asked. Totally believing what Klautz had claimed before.

Klautz walked closer as he rubbed his hands against one of the seats. It had a smooth touch as if rubbing leather.

"This only looks like it was brought from earth. Not magic here per se but these are originally made from monster materials found in Hell," Klautz told Selena who was equally confused as the other newbies.

'Was he able to figure that out just from touching it?' Selena thought as she nodded.

Selena was beginning to admire Klautz even more than before. She wrapped herself around Klautz's arms as she basked herself under his comfort. Little did she know that Klautz was reborn and such things were but common knowledge for him.

Though Klautz had never participated in creation of such stuff. This was in contrast with the majority of Hell residents whose job was procuring raw materials from monsters. The reason? Why of course because he was a ninja. Fighting monsters was rarely what he had done.
