Chapter 7: A Sweeping Monk.
Edited by: Mochiusagi
The biggest difference between Upper Realm and Middle Realm Martial Artists lies in Internal Strength.
An Upper Realm’s Martial Artists’ body has undergone the cleansing of the World’s Essence Qi, and their Internal Strength undergoes transformation. Under normal circumstances, a single strand of Internal Strength of an Upper Realm Martial Artist can crush a hundred strands of Internal Strength of a Middle Realm Martial Artist.
To put it simply, even if the Upper Realm Martial Artist has just broken through, he can still easily sweep Middle Realm Martial Artists.
In addition to Internal Strength, the body of an Upper Realm Martial Artist has also gained a certain degree of improvement. Of course, the improvement here was far inferior to Great Accomplishment of the [Invincible Vajra Divine Art].
“This is Grade 3?”
Su Qin whispered to himself, looking a bit excited.
Su Qin could clearly feel that he was faintly pulling the surrounding Power of Heaven and Earth towards himself.
Su Qin punched out, but it was not his own power that broke out, and instead it was the Grandiose Power of Heaven and Earth.
“It’s no wonder that only Grade 3 Martial Artists can be Court Heads in the Shaolin Temple.”
Su Qin then realized the continuous operation of Internal Strength within his body: “The gap between Grade 3 and Grade 4 is too big.”
Su Qin was amazed.
This was because the power controlled by a Grade 3 Martial Artist is the Power of Heaven and Earth.
Thinking of this, Su Qin finally realized the terror that is the Great Accomplishment of [Invincible Vajra Divine Art].
One has to know that [Invincible Vajra Divine Art] has nothing to do with the Power of Heaven and Earth. It is purely tempering the flesh body.
And the terror is that with just the body alone, one can compete against an Upper Realm Martial Artist; which is tantamount to using one’s own strength to contend with the Power of Heaven and Earth!
“The time is almost up, it’s time to go back.”
Su Qin quickly his restrained aura. With the Great Accomplishment of [Invincible Vajra Divine Art], his control of his body was high. As long as he does not actively expose his aura, even if he meets a Grade 1 Great Grandmaster in person, the latter wouldn’t be able to detect any abnormalities.
Sou~!
Su Qin’s figure transformed into a blur and crossed a distance of several li (about 500 meters per li) instantly.
If any Shaolin Temple disciple passed by here and saw it, they would be stunned, thinking that they had just seen a ghost.
…
The Shaolin Temple was simple, quiet and aloof.
Just as Su Qin was about to return to the Handyman Court, he saw a silhouette staring blankly in the direction of the Back Mountain.
“Zhen Xing?”
Su Qin recognized this genius who had entered the Shaolin Temple at the same time as him.
“But why do I feel that he is a little strange?” Su Qin noticed that Zhen Xing had a scent of despair on him, as if he had been hit by something.
Zhen Xing saw Su Qin approaching and left immediately.
“What happened?” Su Qin muttered to himself.
Su Qin thought, but he had no intention of asking further.
He was not familiar with Zhen Xing. Although the two of them belonged to True disciples and entered the Shaolin Temple at the same time, there was almost no intersection between them.
For Zhen Xing, he is a genius of the Arhat Court. He may even become the Head of a Court in the future. He has a bright future, but what about Su Qin? He’s just a Sweeping Monk.
After returning to the Handyman Court, Su Qin heard disciples of the Handyman Court whispering to each other.
“I heard that Zhen Xing from the Arhat Court, his whole family was slaughtered by passing Evil Martial Artists…”
“I also heard about this, it is said that the Abbot specially comforted him.”
“Comfort? His whole family is dead. What is the use of comfort?”
“Ayy, so pitiful…”
…
“So it turned out to be like this.” Su Qin thought of the expression that Zhen Xing had just now, and was slightly surprised.
“The world outside is too dangerous.”
“It’s safer here in the Shaolin Temple…”
Su Qin’s resolve to stay in the Shaolin Temple became even firmer.
Time passed.
Su Qin continued sweeping and Signing In everyday; cycling through the Scripture Pavilion, Bodhi Court and Devil Subduing Tower.
During this period, as Su Qin’s strength advanced greatly and entered the Upper Realm, he began to try visiting the forbidden areas of the Shaolin Temple that he had never been to before.
…
In the blink of an eye, four and a half years passed.
Outside the Scripture Pavilion, Su Qin was holding a broom in both hands and was sweeping the fallen leaves leisurely.
In the last four and a half years, Su Qin has obtained countless Heavenly Materials, Earthly Treasures, Spirit Pills and Marvelous Medicines. He has advanced by leaps and bounds through Sign Ins, and has entered Grade 1 Great Grandmaster.
Yes, a Grade 1 Great Grandmaster!
In today’s Martial Arts, a Grade 1 Great Grandmaster is definitely a Peak Martial Artist.
If there’s no Martial Dao Legend, then naturally the Grade 1 Great Grandmaster is the strongest.
In the world, the number of Grade 1 Great Grandmasters can be counted on one’s fingers, such as the Imperial Master of the Meng Yuan Empire in the North and Daoist Zhang of Wudang True Martial lineage…
Although the Shaolin Temple is a Great Sect, in this generation, there was no Grade 1 Holy Monk.
If it weren’t for the deep heritage of the Shaolin Temple, the Temple would’ve been removed of it’s ‘Great Sect’ title long ago.
It can be seen from this just how rare a Grade 1 Great Grandmaster is, any one of them can influence the situation and even suppress one party.
“Ten years…”
Su Qin calmly stood; tall and straight.
Ten years have passed since he entered the Shaolin Temple.
In the past ten years, he has gone from an ordinary person who was not even Grade 9 to a Grade 1 Great Grandmaster who the world is in awe of.
And vaguely, the strongest powerhouse of this generation of the Shaolin Temple.
Even the current Abbot, Abbot Hui Wen, is only Grade 2. And as for the rest of the Court Heads, they are only Grade 3.
They are incomparable to a Grade 1 Great Grandmaster like Su Qin.
Su Qin was sure that with his current strength, even if Abbot Hui Wen and all of the Court Heads came at him together, he could fight them with only one hand.
“Ten years have passed, many new faces have appeared, and many geniuses have surfaced…”
Su Qin sighed slightly.
The Shaolin Temple recruits a large number of disciples every year to maintain its inheritance. In these ten years, Su Qin has seen too much.
But no matter what happened, Su Qin was still unswerving as a Sweeping Monk. He has not changed his original intention and has never wavered.
Even when the Handyman Court Head wanted to promote him, Su Qin resolutely refused.
Su Qin has long thought about it clearly. In the entire Shaolin Temple, only Sweeping Monks can freely enter and exit the overwhelming majority of places and areas.
For example, if Su Qin was an Arhat Court disciple, if he runs around to a bunch of places all day, wouldn’t it arouse suspicion?
Furthermore, whether it was the Arhat Court or Martial Monk Court and other Courts, the disciples will receive the attention of the Court Head and even the Abbot.
Su Qin has too many secrets. What if something is discovered?
Only a Sweeping Monk can perfectly cover up all of Su Qin’s secrets.
The Abbot would certainly not care too much about a Sweeping Monk in the temple.
Just when Su Qin was quietly sweeping the floor outside the Scripture Pavilion.
Suddenly.
A violent shout resounded from Dharma Court.
“Evil creature, how dare you?!!!”
And the next moment.
Weng~!!!
He saw a burst of extremely rich demonic energy. It’s madness began to spread, quickly covering a small portion of the Shaolin Temple.
It’s power was mighty,
“Hahahahaha!”
“Hui Wen you fogey, you are already old, your vitality and blood are declining! So, how does my Demon Buddha’s Palm taste like?”
In the center of the endless demonic energy, a young man sneered.
