Chapter 101: Trouble

Nerodia got angry from his nonchalant attitude, She thought he was feigning ignorance about what he did.

She never thought he got another demigod power as it's normally impossible, the only explanation was he could not overcome the temptation of power and went down the path of a titan.

Sol was about to tell her that she should not be worried but her eyes glow magically and he could not move a finger after that.

He could only look as she slapped him in the face which sent him crashing through a dozen frozen trees before getting his face buried in the snow.

Five minutes later when he could move again, Sol found no one in the mini-world, Nerodia had stormed out of the mini-world in rage.

"Fuck! She really did not hold back, if our life wasn't connected, I bet she would have killed me already!" Sol cursed in frustration.

For the next few days, Nerodia had been avoiding him, it have Sol a headache as every time she sees him, Nerodia would use her magical eye to petrify him.

The other would look at them questionably as they did not know what made her angry at him, some times they would look at the petrified Sol pitifully and pat his shoulder in comfort before leaving him behind.

In the End, Sol went around wearing his full ice armor all the time so he would not be petrified when they met.

The Snake girl still would not talk to him but at least he would not need to be petrified every time they met, it was quite torturing to wait for five minutes every time.

Sol finally got a chance to talk with her after asking Nerva to convince the grumpy girl but before he could explain himself, both of them turned to look toward the city direction as something interrupt them.

They could sense a group of Demigod coming toward them at a rapid pace, "There is someone running from the group" She informed him.

Different from Sol who could only sense them vaguely, Nerodia could get a better understanding of the situation as she had her radar-like ability.

"What, are going to do?" She asked him for his opinion.

"Let's go there and decide from that point, it won't be too late at that time" He decided to postpone it until he has a clear understanding of the situation.

"How many are they?" He asked her.

"at least five of them," she told him without looking at him and started to go out, Nerodia was still angry at him.

Hearing that, He started to accumulate knife aura so he could summon his knife soul once he reaches their destination in case of a fight.

Sol did not need Nerodia to guide him to find the Demigod's location as they were attacking the escaping demigod which made them like a fire in the dark to his sense.

Within a minute, Sol and Nerodia reach the location of the fight, there was a group of man in conjured armor surrounding a giant dog covered in fire.

It was a familiar black dog for both of them, Blacky had advanced to the level of Demigod but somehow got chased by the group of Demigod.

It was not surprising that the Hellhound advance as it had been very close to being one after it massacres the majority of the ant army.

It currently holding its own against five demigods but it is clearly getting beaten, the demigods countered its healing ability by conjuring on its wound which hampers its healing ability.

Two of the Demigod were wearing fire armor while the other three were wearing metal armor, although the materials were different, their design was similar that people could clearly guess they were from the same faction.

They were about to strike the cornered hellhound but Sol summoned his knife soul and commanded it to stop them and protect the Hellhound.

It directly launched itself between the dog and demigod group and used its ice sword to block the iron armor demigod attack while ignoring the fire demigod attack which was absorbed harmlessly by its ice body.

The appearance of the knife soul shocked them greatly, "Who are you? This is the business of pantheon of red smelter, if you don't want to offend us then I suggest you mind your own business" one of them said.

Pantheon of red smelter was a sub-pantheon under Vulcan the God of fire and forge, they were the most dominant pantheon in the city Sol was from.

Sol's impression of the pantheon was not good because of his experience with their Demigod who was the current leader of this pantheon.

"It's for us to decide what is our business and not our business," Sol replied which attract the Demigods' attention.josei

"And I suggest you go home if you don't want to offend us," He added sarcastically.

The group of Demigod replied by conjuring a hundred projectile which shot toward Sol in succession, Sol conjured a wall of Ice to block the incoming projectile which was very effective against fire projectile but the metal projectile pierces through it like a hot knife through butter.

He was about to conjure another wall when Nerodia conjured a wall of sand that stoped the metal projectiles dead on their track, they only last a few seconds before turning into a red gust of rust.

Sol and Nerodia start to join the fry which made the Demigod get cornered, the fire demigods were blocked by the knife soul and could not join the main fight while Sol and Nerodia were fighting against the other three.

Blacky also joined the fight once it recovered enough energy to fight back, it was drained but it could recover its stamina quite easily with Sol and Nerodia taking care of the pursuer.

It would punch on the demigods when they show any opening, even though they saw it coming, The demigod could not defend properly against its domineering physical ability.

Their only saving grace was their metal armor provide enough protection for them to keep their life.

When they saw that they were at a disadvantage, the demigods start to retreat without hesitation, it seems that they value their life more than their mission.

They were there to capture or kill Blacky, people from the temple of Vulcan had been eyeing Blacky for a long time and when they saw the chance, they went for the kill.

Blacky want to chase them but Sol hold it back as there was no reason to go after them, it might even be a trap.

He brought it back to their house to be treated but by the time they reach the wooden house, it was already as good as new.

It seems that the hell hound had mastered a fire ability so it could just heal itself unlimitedly given the time.

Sol wanted to question what happen but he could not communicate whit it so he called Moon to be a translator.

The wolf and hound could communicate with each other as their language was similar.

From what he saw, Sol and Nerodia concluded that the hellhound was in the path of a titan, it didn't have the ability to turn into a human form.

After some digging, it turns out that Blacky was running from the city as the pantheon of red smelter had controlled the city as they like.

They enslave every creature in the city and even breed them to create an heir army, Thay wanted to blacky as a breeding horse and made an undying fire dog army.

Tanya had helped it escaped but was captured in the process, not only creature was treated badly others who were not part of the temple of Vulcan was under a lot of restriction.

The other Temple's Demigod had left the city to join a pantheon in another city so the Pantheon of red smelter was the nominal overlord of the city, they might do as they like and no one could stop them.

Sol had heard the news that the pantheon was killing people that wnt against it but there was no definite proof about it so the other pantheon did not step in.

As the victim of rumors, Sol did not blindly believe in rumors, it might just be false information, but now Blacky was telling him about the pantheon vicious deed, He was infuriated.

"Those bastards, they frame others as evil while they themselves were the real evil!" He grumbles in frustration.

He wanted to get there and kick their ass for what they did to him, now that he had a justified reason to do so, Sol was rearing to have his revenge.

"Let's go to save Tanya and everyone else in the city," He said to Nerodia in particular.

Sol would need her help if he wants to beat a city with a dozen Demigod in it, but to his surprise, Nerodia declined, "If you want to go then go by yourself," she said as she was still angry at him.
