Chapter 104: Vulcan

Vulcan was the God of Flame and Blacksmith, A Major God with multiple domains, a very prestigious and strong figure even among the Gods.

He was famous for his creation and his temper, Myth said that every time he got angry, a volcano would erupt with it.

To offend someone on such high power and known to be unforgiving was equal to a death wish, anyone would be out of his mind if they purposely did so, even other Major God would not so easily offend him.

"Who dares to attack one of my pantheons right under my nose?" He bellowed toward Sol in anger.

It shook Sol's entire being as the presence of a Major God was too strong for him, but his experience meeting Minerva multiple time had done him good, Sol would at least stay standing and hold himself from prostrating on the ground.

"Greetings, The great Vulcan, it was not my intention to attack your pantheon," he replied as the God's presence had doused him in cold water, Sol had regained some of his minds rather than continue to lose himself in rage.

It made the God snort at him, "It doesn't matter what your intention was, the fact that you attack what is mine did not change!"

"That's right! How dare you try to kill me, don't you have fear of my God?" the Demigod that was hiding behind Vulcan chime in while pointing at Sol.

He was so close to death, if the God did not intervene then he would have died without question, not the God had come to his rescue, he becomes so arrogant.

"Did I let you speak?" The God looked behind him in annoyance, the weak yet arrogant man had tipped him off in the wrong way.

Being asked such a question made the Demigod shrink and lower his head in shame, being under the pressure of the God, he could not help but prostrate himself on the ground, his head was pressed to the ground.

"With all due respect, I was here to free my friend but when I find her condition I'm just here to seek justice," Sol tried to explain his reasoning.

Out of his expectation, it made the God laughed loudly as if he had heard the funniest joke he ever heard, "HAHAHAHA Justice? What is that?" the God snort.josei

"It was just a concept made by you human, it was just how you weak mortal justifies your revenge and vilify your enemy."

"It means nothing before Power!" the God admonished him, "I'm more powerful than you thus I am your justice!"

"Tell me, what is this justice you seek? This man's life?" the God retorted.

"How about this? You may have your justice if you have the power," He said in a challenge, "If you can kill him then I will let you go, but if you don't then you will die here," he taunts.

Heavy pressure appeared on his body that Sol could barely move his body, if he tried to conjure anything then he would find himself unable to conjure anything as the God had restricted his every movement.

It was basically impossible for him to defend himself, moreover killing someone, Sol was in a tough because of it.

"Fuck! This guy is defending that bastard," Sol lamented with a gloomy heart.

In his heart, Sol still wants to kill the Demigod but with Vulcan's presence, he did not dare to do so but not it was different.

Sol need to kill the Demigod if he wants to survive, he becomes even more resolved to kill the man but it was all just his wish.

He could not even move his body under the God's power, his limit break ability was even dispelled by it.

Sol made a pitiful sight as he was naked and unable to move, he could not conjure anything because of the God's power.

He knew that those in the higher-tier would have resistance toward one's ability, but for them to be able to even block others from using their ability was something new to him.

"..." Sol was speechless, he used his everything to think of a way to escape with his life but it was too hard to overcome a God.

His only chance to escape was to kill the Demigod somehow, but he had no way to did that as he was restricted in every way possible.

The dual-wielding demigod was afraid at first when Vulcan said that Sol could try to kill him, but seeing that Sol was not able to move, he becomes even more arrogant.

He holds back his gloating because he did not want to offend the God more than he had done, he was lucky that the God did not punish him before but he did not want to try and offend him once more.

Even so, he could not hold himself from making fun of the powerless Sol, he comes closer to Sol and pats him on the shoulder to mock him.

Vulcan did not stop him or feel any worry for him as he was sure that Sol would not be able to even harm the arrogant man.

The God knows the extent of his power and Sol's power, there was no way for Sol to break free from the restriction he had placed upon him.

"Damn it! I will kill this guy!" Sol screamed in his mind as he tried to use every power he could think of.

To his surprise, Sol could use one of his power even under the restriction placed by Vulcan, he could still use the Healing dome ability.

He suspect that the former owner of the core was the reason for this, Apollo was on the same tier as Vulcan, it would not be surprising that he have something to counter the God's ability.

The problem was Sol did not know any way to use the healing dome as an offensive ability, He could use it to reinforce other ability or heal wounds but he hasn't developed any way to use it as an offensive ability individually.

Sol's mind going on an overdrive to think of a way to utilize the healing dome to kill the Demigod as it was his best chance when the Demigod was close to him.

He did not know if such a chance would come again, he did not even know how long would the God wait for him before he runs out of patience and kill him instead.

He tried to conjure it to be a sharp weapon but it would not become any other form than a dome or flat surface.

The healing ability also could not be toggled of like the sun ice heat absorption ability, so even if he could make a knife from healing dome ability, it would heal the wound at the same time so The Demigod would not die from the injuries.

He had the idea to use the ability to make the Demigod's cells to regenerate unlimitedly and become a cancer to kill him but he soon crosses it off as sickness was no more.

Moreover, it would take too long for it to kill him, Vulcan would surely notice and stop him from killing the Demigod.

In another word, Sol needs to kill the Demigod in an instant when the God was still off guard so he would not be able to save the Demigod.

Using the dome to suffocate or compress the Demigod was also out of question, it had not physical property and would not be able to interact with others physically.

"There is no time for hesitation!" Sol told himself and conjured a healing dome on his knife.

The knife still has the knife aura he used before but it had no material body so he was thinking to replace the body with a healing dome.

Even though both abilities were intangible, Sol had expected it to at least have some result, it might not make a knife soul but another combination but it would definitely allow the healing dome to be utilized offensively.

Before Vulcan could react, The knife moves lightning-fast and pierce the Demigod's head and killing him in an instant.

It shocked the God as Sol was supposed to be restricted from using his ability but his knife somehow could move by itself and kill the Demigod.

It was the combination of healing dome and knife aura, it made some kind of forcefield that Sol could control as he will.

In this case, Sol used it as his hand and pierce the unsuspecting Demigod with his knife, It was already too late when anyone realizes that Sol could actually move under the God's restriction.

With the Demigod's dead, Vulcan could only reluctantly lift his restriction on Sol and let him go, as a Major God, He had his own pride, to take back his word would be too shameful for the God of fire.

"I don't know what trick you were using but if I ever see you once again then you should pray for a quick death as I won't spare you," The God said domineeringly then disappeared into the air in a burst of fire.
