Chapter 128: Cheating

The tomahawk was about to touch Sol when he used his ability, the whole crowd thought he was done for but to their surprise, rather than slicing sound, exploding sound boom through the colosseum.

When the tomahawk about to reach him, Sol had used the limit-break ability, with such speed and precision he caught the spinning tomahawk by the handle, his body was pushed half a step back from the momentum but was able to stop it dead on its track.

'BOOM!!!' The explosion sound came from Sol catching the tomahawk, with his hand, it showed just how much momentum it had.josei

Dust and white smoke cover a few meters near where Sol was, the audience could see purple light flashing from time to time from inside the smoke.

"What is happening? Is this the end of our final fight?" The MC narrated from the audience who had gone silent waiting for the result.

Mad Dog also got confused, he did not expect that his tomahawk would create such an explosion, Mad Dog swipes his arm forward sending wind to clear the dust and smoke.

The wind pushes the dust and smoke away revealing Sol who was holding the tomahawk with one hand, his body was covered in purple lightning and the cold fog was coming out of his body, what people thought as smoke was actually cold fog.

"He caught it! Did he use his conjuring ability? Does it means that our contestant would be disqualified?" the MC continued to hype the situation.

But to everyone's shock, the Referee did not stop the battle, "The fight continues, does it means Ice Warrior did not break any rule?!" the MC asked everyone's question.

In the VIP room at the top of the Colosseum, A woman turned to the man beside her, "Why don't they stop the fight? He clearly uses an ability to conjure those lightning and ice fog," she asked him in confusion.

The man did not turn his head, "to put it simply, that was not conjuring ability," he answered while his eyes glint at Sol.

Sol used his limit-break ability because there was no rule against it, if he used his other ability then they might consider him cheating but with limit-break, they have no reason to stop him.

Sol threw the Tomahawk back at Mad Dog the same way he had thrown it before, it spun to the side at the man's neck.

Mad Dog tried to catch it with his hand but when he caught it, the momentum push him back dozen of meters back before stopping, his arm tremble and he could not help but lose his grip on it, letting the tomahawk fall to the ground.

Sol already has the knife aura active on his body before he went into the limit-break mode, it pushed his physical ability beyond the last time he had used the limit-break ability.

He flexed his arm and threw a jab to the air, to the Demi-titan's surprise, he was hit on the face by an invisible projectile.

Sol had replicated Ashura's ability with pure physical strength albeit weaker, if the Demi-titan was in its true form, then he would not feel a thing from the punch.

Rather than keeping the distance, Sol rush toward the shocked Mad Dog, the demi-titan did not shy away from the fight.

Sol pushed the offensive while Mad Dog gets on the defensive, Sol used his knife and sword simultaneously to hit the Demi-titan while the demi-titan used his tomahawk to defend, a shock wave could be heard every time their weapon clashed.

The man would take a step back every time Sol getting too close, his body starting to bleed, Sol would land a hit every now and then but none of them were fatal.

Purple lightning formed in the man's injuries preventing him from healing his wound, as time went the demi-titan body getting more and more injuries, purple lighting was covering his body like a tattoo.

But rather than getting weaker, The Mad Dog was getting stronger, he would get hit less and less, at some point, Sol becomes the one defending, their role got reversed.

"Fuck! How did he get stronger? Was he hiding his true strength?" Sol lamented.

The audience was also confused as the demi-titan body somehow grow bigger, he gains an advantage but he seems to be growing desperate as well.

The desperation creates an opening for Sol, he ducks down under the tomahawk and uses his knife to stab the man's abdomen.

To his surprise, fires start to burn from the man's injuries, the purple lightning got burned away and soon the man was also covered in fire, it explodes outward that Sol needed to back away as to not get caught up in it.

The fire grew so big then from inside it emerge a giant dog howling to the sky, the dog was covered in fire.

Mad Dog restriction was broken but he did not break it himself, he was desperate because the restriction was getting eaten by the purple lightning, when Sol stabbed it the lightning finally broke the restriction, forcing Mad Dog back to its true form.

The giant hellhound looked down on Sol with rage in its eyes, it raised its paw and swipe at Sol, The referee tried to stop the rampaging Dog to no avail, he got sent flying away when he tried to block the paw.

The audience was panicking to evacuate the colosseum, they did not want to get caught up in the Dog's rage.

Sol tried to block the paw with both his sword and knife but it could not save him from being sent flying out of the arena, he crashed to the colosseum wall.

The giant dog was about to bite at Sol when a booming sound could be heard from the colosseum VIP room, "ENOUGH!!!"

A giant palm of green crystal conjured in the sky, it was half as big as the colosseum itself, the palm went down smashing the giant hellhound to the ground, stopping it dead on its track.

The appearance of the emerald palm had silenced and stoped the audience who was running out of the arena.

They looked to the source of the voice to find a Man in green crystal armor, he stands domineeringly above everyone.

The audience recognizes him as the only Major demigod in the city, their City lord, the Green Emerald.

No one knows his real name or who he really was, the only thing they know was he is the founder of the city.

"You can continue the event, I will be going first with this dog to discipline it," He said as he went away with the dog.

The spectacle amazed everyone but Sol, his body was really painful, his armor had broken to pieces, blood was coming from all over his body.

He was also pulled out of the limit-break state, he was weakened and injured, in conclusion, he was miserable.

"The winner is Ice Warrior!" the MC announced while pointing at Sol who was stuck on the broken wall, he did not have any strength to pull himself out of it.

Everyone looked at him but he did not get and applause or cheer like the previous winners, he looked too miserable to be a winner.

Jennie and Harry went to help him out of the colosseum to the waiting room so the MC could continue to the next event.

The next event was a normal fight between lesser demigods, there was no need for them to wait there, but Sol needs some time before he could heal and walk on his own so Jennie and Harry decided to chat with him.

"Your fight was so cool! I could not believe my eyes when you threw that javelin," Harry said excitedly.

Sol did not have any strength to reply or complained, he could only listen to them chatting by themselves.

"For me, the most shocking part was when he caught that tomahawk, I thought he would die for sure," Jennie said to Harry.

Both of them were watching the fight nervously, they thought they would need to meet their teammates with one less person in their group, but it turns out just fine.

When the Mad Dog turns into a giant hellhound, they wanted to help him too as the fight was over when the dog breaks the rule, but they were powerless to save Sol.

Even if Tea was there, it still unlikely that she would be able to save Sol, even the referee could not do a thing.

Luckily Sol was in a limit-break state so he did not get reduced into bloody paste from the giant dog's paw.

"You are really lucky Sol! You must be the heir of lady Fortuna!" Harry patted Sol on the shoulder which made him gritted his teeth in pain.

"Lady Fortuna's Heir, MY ASS!!! If I'm really that lucky then I would not even need to fight that thing!" Sol could only curse in his heart as he was too tired to talk.
