Chapter 186 But Not Eventually

Chapter 186 But Not Eventually

"I think you should come back," Kakashi replied. "I am taking the boy's body to the building, meet  Eya-nee on the way, and take her with you."

"Uh… she will be safe, right?"

"Of course, why?"

"I… want to take a detour."

"Eh? What do you mean?"

Senso did not reply. Eya looked at Kakashi and asked, "What is he—?"

"I do not know, he will be alright. Let us head back." Kakashi teleported.

Eya took a deep breath and turned to face the two bodies. Her heart broke when she saw Kamiya's mangled body, the burn spots on his abdomen, the red wires in his mouth, and his served arms.

She was walking towards Kamiya when her eyes fell on the chopped tree, something glowed. Under the tree was Hitori's wand lying in the snow.

She changed her path. Hitori's wand had scratches over it, they would be polished by a wand smith, no problem. She squatted and held Hitori's wand in a pinch.

Eya nodded, then threw the wand into the side of her skirt in a hole. 'Why would a wand glow?' she wondered.

She got off the ground and was headed toward the bodies when she saw that again. A red glint, it was a red glow in the dark that caught Eya's attention again.

She looked over to the right side. She moved her head up and down, in the hope of seeing the glint again.

The sky was clearing without a snowstorm or storm. The dark clouds gathered in a corner and decided to walk away from above Tokyo.

There, she found it. She caught the red glow, it was not a monster's bloodlust eyes, it was a red dragon's core and a katana forged from it.

"How can I forget this?!" Eya exclaimed as she reached for the miniature katana lying under snow, only the core peeking out of it. She picked the katana. "How?" she asked, "the chain should have not let go of Hitori-san's wrist…"

She found the chain hanging down the katana. Eya grabbed the ends and took the chain behind her neck. She ticked the chain in and locked it behind her neck.

The woods rustled. She heard something. Eya drew her wand and pointed at the woods behind the bodies. "Who is there?" she asked.

Maybe a monster, she thought and started walking towards the woods. She heard something in the woods behind her, Eya jumped around with her wand straight.

"Who is…" her voice faded when she noticed someone running away from her. The rustling faded in the distance and soon disappeared.

Eya lowered her wand, then sighed. "Give me a break." She dug her wand in the side.

After acquiring Hitori's katana, she looked at the main job– the bodies.

She pulled a ball from her ring. Without even looking, she threw it over Kuzu's body. The ball stopped in the air, opened, and swallowed Kuzu in it, then fell to the ground.

Eya focused her eyes on Kamiya. She studied his body, the misery he had to suffer from. Then she thought about Kuzu. 'I hope you suffered a lot.' She bit her lip in anger.

The dead wizard had set the dungeon in such a way that if he died, the dungeon would deform, and would throw the people invaders outside.

While Onogi was running up the staircase, he stumbled on a stair and fell on his back. He thought he would be buried alive when the ground pushed him out, followed by Kuzu and Kamiya.

Eya squatted by Kamiya's side, she hesitated to touch him, she wanted to check on him, though. Tears formed in her eyes. "Oh god…" She hesitated again, finding a spot to touch him.

Eya groaned and got up from the ground, she turned around and grabbed her head. "I can not!" she said, "can not do it!"

She just could not look at the body. She was too distressed to sense the whoosh of air past her, Senso took a stop by her.

"E-Eya, are you okay?" he asked.

Eya nodded, her eyes full of tears. "J-just give me some time, I will b-bring him…"

"Do you want me to take them?"

"N-no, it is okay, I, I will…" She broke again. "Why, sensei, why? Why did this have to happen?"

Senso dropped his shoulders, pushed his scabbard, and hugged Eya in his wide arms. "Death comes eventually, girl…"

"B-but it should not have come this cruelly!" she shouted and continued crying.

"Control yourself."

"I-it is not the fact 'Kamiya is dead' making me cry, it is just the WAY he died! It would have been so… so… he did not have to die this way."

Senso pushed her. "I have to look for Atama-sensei."

"Atama-sensei, only if he was here, those two would have been dead by now. Only if Atama-sensei was here… WHERE THE HELL IS HE?!"

"I WILL FIND HIM!" Senso shouted back. "J-just take Kamiya's body."

He turned, nodded his head, and disappeared into the woods. Eya rubbed her eyes, still sobbing.

Eya took deep breaths, exhaled, deep breaths, exhaled. She continued the process for at least a minute. She was so focused on calming herself, that she could not sense the person who sneaked behind her with a wand in his wand.

A strand of his green hair bounced down his head and fell over his eyes. He disappeared and appeared behind the chopped tree, then changed his position again.

Eya exhaled and opened her eyes together. She clapped, then slapped, and walked to Kamiya's body. She bent and grabbed his burned hand.

She saw a shadow cast over her, her eyes widened when she found that someone was looming over her. She froze. She could not draw her wand, the person above her will kill him anytime if she does.

She gulped. She opened her mouth when she heard the person speak.

"Let me take the body, Eya-chan…" he said.

Her eyes widened, she raised her eyes and found his green hair and black eyes. Her mouth dropped open and she muttered, "R-R-Ryuma… san?"
