Chapter 211 Blame

Chapter 211 Blame

Hitori waited for his allotted group to come outside. The teachers said that the group has the photo of their volunteers with them, so they will come to you.

But Hitori's group never game. He watched as the fifth-year volunteers took their group to their dorms through the portals. How some students were cooperating with their volunteers, laughing, smiling, and some girls were even flirting with their masculine, jockey, volunteer.

A group of seven to ten students walked up to Mono, they waved at him, and he waved back. They shook hands and Mono introduced himself. "Do not worry, we will be together for three days, we will get to know each other by that time. Let us talk on the way!" He left with his group.

Hitori waited for another minute, then took a seat in the middle of the courtyard under a tree. "Am I scammed? Are they even come or not?" Hitori grabbed his hair and grunted.

He never wanted to do this, but it hurt when he was left alone and every volunteer around him left with their group. The last volunteer and his group sneered at Hitori before they left.

Hitori turned around and took a look at the clock hanging on a wall. It was quarter past ten, and soon it will be half past ten.

"Heck with them. I am going home. This was a cheap way to punish me, Atama-sensei," Hitori muttered under his breath as he got up. Hitori made his way to the courtyard's door.

This was seriously the worst idea. What do you think I learned by sitting under the tree for minutes? I just improved my knowledge about something I had already learned– never trust big men like you. You cheat people like—

Suddenly, the courtyard's door swung open and Hitori took a hit on his forehead which woke him up, but threw him on the grass. He gasped in horror, he saw the wooden door opening and found himself lying on his butt.

"What the…?"

Then he saw someone's foot, he was wearing a shoe. Hitori's hand moved faster than his brain. And before he could even realize what he was doing, Hitori was already holding a wand at the door.

He tensed his leg muscles and got to his knees, then to his feet. Hitori held the wand straight as he rose to his feet and opened his mouth.

He stopped when he heard a female on the other side. "Eh… where is our volunteer? Damn, I told you if we keep him waiting he will leave!"

Hitori lowered his wand, it was his group, no threat. But he clenched the wand. "Where the hell were they?" he asked himself while biting his lower lip.

"Huh? Not possible. A volunteer can not leave just like that."

Oh, sure as hell I can. Hitori thought. He wanted to punch whoever was on the other side.

"Let me check. Damn, no one is here, the courtyard is empty!"

"See? I told you we were going too far. We should have gone when I said, but you wanted to stay."

"Hey! Do not blame me…" The voice came from near the door. That person was close to the door. "I never knew my plan could…"

His plan. Hitori opened his mouth. "Brats." He raised his wand and gave it a swing.

He heard the girls on the other side scream as he sent the door pushing them back into the cafeteria. And the person standing near the door got what he sowed.

,m "D-Did the door closed on its own?" Hitori heard them on the other side.

He took deep breaths. "You are alright, I am alright. You are calm, I am calm. You are not angry, I am not angry."

Then he kept his wand back and grabbed the door from the side. With another breath, he pulled the door open.

Two boys were lying on the floor of the cafeteria. A girl was on the floor and another had stumbled into the arms of a guy. In the end was a lonely kid, away from this bullshit, and the rest surrounded the five.

"What the heck were you doing, my lovely freshmen?" Hitori wore a crooked smile and asked.

The students who were the victim and the culprit of the 'door-bang' glared at him as they got up. Hitori gave them a hand to get up with a fake smile on.

"If you are done with your bullshit, I would like us to go. Since you wasted mine and your time playing hide and seek, we are already behind."

"You bastard! It hurts—!"

Hitori narrowed his eyes and glared at the guy who was the mastermind behind the plan. He had a nice build for a first-year student. But Hitori had seen someone even strong-looking than him.

And he had even seen a clumsy but strong guy. The build has nothing to do with your courage and power, it never had anything to do with that.

"It was your bullshit plan, was not it?"

"You are bullshit. You could have burst my—"

Hitori clenched his jaw. He stepped over the bulky guy and put a hand over his shoulder. "If you want to see your dorm and spend the rest of the years here to waste your daddy's money, then you better shut your shit and get going."

Hitori gave his shoulder a jerk. They did not break eye contact, but the bulky guy was quiet for the rest of the day.

Hitori adjusted his clothes and gave the students to adjust their clothes. He could hear them gossiping behind him. He turned and they went quiet.

"If you want to catch the lunch, you better get your shit together. I do not have a problem, but you will buy lunch outside on your first day."

They exchanged glances. Hitori was about to turn when his eyes fell on a dark boy standing at the end of the group. His hair was brown and down, and his eyes were barely visible.

Hitori saw himself in that boy. He remembered when it was his time to be a first-year student. It was the same time of the year and the academy's tour was scheduled for the first-year students.

Hitori did not show up on the first day. He never showed up for any of the three days. He was the same, dark, introverted guy. 'Maybe something happened to him, too.' He thought.

'You will be volunteering the most troublesome group of the year,' Atama had said.

'Why would he be troublesome? He would not even talk to anyone. Why a troublemaker then?'

"Oi! Are you going to keep daydreaming or are you taking us?"

Hitori saw a hand waving in front of his eyes. He looked down and found a four feet tall girl staring at him. Then she pointed her hands behind him, in a gesture of 'get going'.

Hitori gave the boy the last glance. "Follow me. We will travel through a portal that will lead us to the nearest portal to the dormitory."

"This guy is sick." She shook her head. They sighed and followed him.
