Chapter 262 Today
Chapter 262 Today
Kakashi handed a man his card. They shared a stare for a moment till Kakashi had to break it. He turned to the next customer and did his card.
He walked away from the counter and was about to take a break when a lady approached the counter. He tried to keep his head and eyes straight from rolling, and his mouth shut from groaning.
The lady was smiling at him, he knew for sure she would drop her smile the moment after seeing his annoyed face. He glanced at her smiling face and lowered his head to the magic screen.
"Can I help you?" He knew that tone gave the lady a 'laid-back,' 'I don't care,' vibe.
He raised his eyes to take a look at her. She leaned towards the counter and asked with a SMILE. "What happened to the Fairy? I loved her– she was cute," she said and giggled.
Kakashi widened his eyes, then lowered his head to hide his surprise. "What does that has to do anything with your game? Are you even going to play or—"
"Oh, sure, I will!" She handed him her card. He accepted it and scanned it on a magic screen on the side.
"For how many hours?" he asked, ignoring her blonde hair and glossy lips.
She kept her hands on the counter and said, "For as long as I can see you."
He thought he got it wrong, so he glared at her, but that did not bother her at all– in fact, the smile widened.
"So cost me as much as it takes to watch you for as long as possible."
He raised his head and glared at her, thinking she might fear him now or find him intimidating now, but she did not. She leaned forward and tried to place her lips on his.
He pulled away and turned around. "I don't even know you, lady."
"You will now. You will know me better than you know anyone."
"I don't want to, so either you leave or I call the Wizard Police." He watched her smile fade and his smile spread.
She dropped her head, leaned back, and muttered, "How can you be so cold, you stone-hearted jerk? Do you know how much money I have spent just to get a chance to see you? But you never come forward. That other woman is always at the counter, but today– I saw you at the counter– so I jumped right in."
Kakashi groaned this time and let his head and eyes roll all they want. "Lady, leave this building and never come back here unless you want to play Vr-games." He handed the lady her card.
But of course, she rejected to accept it. "You rude-ass! Can you at least have some sympathy?" She rubbed her eyes. "Give me one day. Just give me this day– of course, not for free– and we will see if you like it or not."
Kakashi sighed and let his hand fall on the counter with her card in it. "Fucking serious? God," he said, then looked at her. "Do you not feel intimidated or something around me?" he asked.
She smiled– yes– and shook her head. "I like that anger in our eyes, those abusive words on your tongue, and the American Mafia built you have."
His eyes were ready to jump out of their sockets. No one had told him that before. Not even Eya– well, she did one but he figured she was lying.
But this lady, she did not even flinch. She said it with a straight and kept a straight face after saying it. Then she shrugged.
"I know this is too fast for you, but I have waited weeks if not months; months if not years." She was so excited, jumping around with a smile, if given a chance, she might jump on him.
But Kakashi had a plan just for the likes of hers. He stared at her for a while, considering whether to act on his plan or not. After consideration, he lowered it and went back to working on the screen.
He scanned the card again, as the time limit had passed, then the column of time appeared. He lifted the magic screen so that the lady could take a look as he input the numbers.

He wanted to take a look at her expressions, but he decided to continue putting the amount. He entered one. Then added four zeroes behind it. He lifted his eyes, she was not affected by his actions at all, but he was pissed.
He banged his fists on the counter, she jumped, then leaned forward. "Should not you stop me?" he said.
She looked at him with that robotic smile– a smile that never fades no matter the circumstances– and shook her head. "Why should I? If that is the time you want me to watch you, then let it be. And if that is the money you charge per minute, so be it."
He wanted to grab her throat and shove it up her ass, then wipe that robotic, eternal smile off her face with a piece of cloth, like wiping dust off a window. But he controlled his anger.
"You did it your way." He pressed okay and click. The money was transferred to his account from hers and now he was supposed to spend the next minute with her. "Thanks for the money."
He turned the screen and fifty-thousand yen flashed on the screen till he cleared it.
"Yay! Do I come over there, or will you come to me?" she asked, staring at him like a little girl.
Kakashi was left stunned by the events. Just what would put this spoiled bitch in a corner? Nothing? He gave up with a sign. Girls are out of my mind's capacity.
