Chapter 64 The Lost Trust.

Chapter 64 The Lost Trust.

Hitori placed his hand on the floor and pushed himself off the floor. He still felt the pain in his abdomen, so he took out a potion and thought the increase in health will heal his pain too.

Kamiya looked closely at Reon's hand, "it is alright, it has recovered,"

Reon looked down at her hand. The missing hand was back from the wrist. Kamiya's healing helped Reon to generate her sliced hand back.

Reon glanced at Hitori who drank another bottle of potion. She could feel her heart breathing hard in her chest but that did not stop her from frantically looking for her gun.

"Reon-san?" Kamiya followed her gaze all over the floor.

She found her gun behind her. She stared at her gun for a few seconds before she grabbed it firmly in her hand.

"Reon-san, no!" Kamiya tried to snatch the gun from her but he failed, "you should not continue this any further!" Reon pulled her gun above her head, out of Kamiya's reach.

Kamiya spread his arms towards her gun and fell forward in order to get the gun and stop Reon, "No, please!"

Reon's back banged hard on the floor, Hitori threw his potion's empty flask and stared at a gun pointed at him.

"Reon–!"

Shot!

Before Kamiya could stop her, she pulled the trigger and fired at Hitori.

"Oh shit!" Kamiya stretched his hand and pinned down Reon's shoulder, then he used her other hand to snatch her gun and threw it in his inventory.

Reon struggled but Kamiya had pinned her down pretty good, "please, stop. There is no use in attacking each other, we would not gain anything." Kamiya looked down at Reon.

After she heard his words, Reon stopped struggling. She turned her eyes back to Kamiya and stared into his eyes for a while. Then she turned her head towards Hitori.

Kamiya glanced at him but looked back at her. A frown appeared on his face, he looked at Hitori once again.

p Green. His health bar glowed in green, no damage was done to him. Then what did Reon-san fire at?

Kamiya's eyes followed an ugly greenish-gray color creature lying on the floor behind Hitori.

Kamiya lifted his gaze up at Hitori, he was staring at the goblin too. Hitori felt those two stares at him, he turned his head.

Slowly, Kamiya loosened his grip on Reon and got off her. Reon pulled herself off the floor.

Both Kamiya and Reon got up from the floor. Reon stretched out her hand in front of Kamiya while staring at Hitori.

Kamiya glanced down at the thin dirty hand before he pulled out Reon's gun from his inventory and handed it to her.

She raised her gun once again, "bastard," her finger touched the trigger.

Hitori stared at her with no care in the world. He was sure she would not shoot him.

"Why did you leave the dungeon then?" Reon pulled the trigger and smashed the head of another goblin behind Hitori.

Hitori was startled by the firing sound. He turned around and saw two goblins lying over each other, green liquid came out from everywhere.

Without any delay, Hitori sealed the broken ice entrance once again to prevent goblins from entering the second room.

The goblins had broken the ice wall when their screams had filled the third floor's first room.

One of the goblins even tried to enter the second room but when Kamiya cast his explosion spell and Hitori banged against the wall, the goblin was sent back flying inside the first room.

"Sorry," Hitori bit his lip when he apologized, "I had to." Then he turned around.

Thankfully, Reon did not point her gun at him this time, nor did Kamiya raise his wand at him.

"Why?!" Reon shouted, "why did you have to?" she demanded an answer.

Hitori stared at her then glanced at Kamiya before he sighed and shook his head. Hitori stayed quiet, instead, he raised his hand and pointed behind both of them.

Kamiya and Reon glanced behind them. They had not even realized that inside the room rested an opened treasure box with green mist around it.

Kamiya lifted his arm and pointed at the treasure box, "It is already open," Kamiya turned to Hitori, "you left the dungeon to get an–" Hitori opened his palm and gestured to Kamiya to stop.

"Why would I find a key outside the dungeon?" Hitori frowned.

"Right, how will you?" Kamiya realized his stupidity. How will a key leave its dungeon?

"I would not…" Hitori replied, "I would not unless…" he paused, "unless someone takes the key out with them."

"Eh?" Kamiya shook his head slightly, "w- what do you mean?"

Hitori stopped walking and looked straight at Kamiya, "we have been…" he turned his gaze at Reon, "rigged into this dungeon, Reon-san."

Reon tried her best to stay calm, "by?" she asked, "By whom?"

A pleasant smile spread over Hitori's face, "by the Noob." he replied.

"Noob?" She remembered she had met someone together with Hitori before they had entered this dungeon. It was someone who had shown them this dungeon.

Hitori kept on his smile, he looked at Kamiya and completed his sentence, "we have been rigged into this dungeon by K.U.Z.U." Hitori gave him a single nod.

The frown disappeared from Kamiya's face. His mouth dropped wide open and his arm came down.

"Kuzu?" Reon asked.

Hitori turned to her, "yes," and nodded, "by Kuzu, our enemy." Reon's heart started racing once again.

"We- we- we are in… we must be in our enemy's base then?" Reon asked gently with hesitation.

But to her surprise and relief, Hitori shook his head, "nope. Just in one of his dungeons."

Hitori looked down at his menu screen, opened his inventory, and pulled out a thin key. He held it in between his three fingers and lifted it in front of them.

"Kuzu had taken this key from that treasure box," Hitori explained, "and he deliberately had dropped this key in front of me and Reon-san,"

"So… how did you get the key?" Kamiya stepped forward.

"He gave it to me." Hitori replied in an instant, "I searched for him. Then when I saw him, I asked him for the key. He gave me the key with pleasure."

"Oh no." Kamiya turned around and grabbed his head in anxiety, "no, Hitori, no." he groaned, "you have fallen or will fall into his trap. You do not know, Kuzu is cunning." Kamiya told him but that did not change anything for Hitori.

"That… that is why you left the dungeon…" Reon lifted her thin finger at the key, "Ah! Now it makes sense!" she clapped her hands once.

"Ah… Hitori, but still…" Hitori clicked his tongue and walked up to his partner.

"Kamiya, we were going to face him anyway, what difference does it make to fight him twenty-four hours earlier?"

"Oh, it does!" Kamiya brought his hands down, "we are not in our base, it makes a huge difference."

"H- he is right, Hitori-san," Reon chimed in, "we are in the enemy's base, a base we know nothing about."

"So listen!" Hitori shouted to shut up Kamiya, "we are not in the real world right now!" Hitori lifted his finger, "we are in the game, and in the game, we would not lose, we have the upper hand. You better understand it."

Kamiya was speechless, he stared blankly at Hitori's finger, "right." he nodded his head, "right…" he licked his lips nervously, "it is game. I have powers, I have skills… I… I am alright." he looked at Hitori.

"Yeah?" Hitori pulled his finger down.

"Yeah." Kamiya nodded.

"Then let us go silence those goblins." the corner of Hitori's mouth lifted, "their screams are annoying."

A grin unfolded on Kamiya's face, "yes." he nodded, "yes!" They both turned around and walked to the ice.

"What was that green liquid though?"

"Ah, goblin acid." they walked through the entrance, they both covered their heads with ice and a defense shield.

Reon stood there blankly. She was surprised how quickly they both patched up and did not even ask her to come with them.

"Sheer hate for goblins." She sighed. She was left behind in the room.
