Solo Cultivation in The Apocalypse

Chapter 89 The Weakness Theory.

Chapter 89 The Weakness Theory.

Kamiya glanced around him frantically. He heard noises but could not see the one who produced the noises.

He did not know but Kazon's hammer was inches away from bursting his skull open and hence resulting in death.

Hitori jumped from the grass and bushes. He rushed to the Duergar at his top pace. Kazon grunted and so did Hitori.

Clang!

Kamiya's eyes caught Hitori from the right side but the sudden crash of hammers in front of him startled Kamiya. He stumbled on the mud and fell to the ground.

When he stepped back it gave him the situation's full view. Hitori had appeared out of nowhere with an orange hammer in his hands which was rivaling Kazon's hammer.

Hitori jerked his hammer. A scared frown appeared on Kazon's face then his eyes caught Hitori's hammer.

With quick movements, Kazon stepped away from Hitori and his hammer.

The corners of Kazon's hammer were already crippled lightly due to Kamiya's attacks but after collision with Hitori's hammer, Kazon had lost pretty much half of its hammer's durability.

Clank!

Kazon's head jolted forward when suddenly someone scratched its helmet from behind with a blade.

Yagi's hooves touched the mud and jerked off towards Hitori and Kamiya. Yagi's parang failed to inflict damage of even one point.

Yagi noticed a magic dagger in Kazon's stomach on his way to Hitori.

Hitori had bent down to Kamiya, "what are you doing?" Hitori offered his hand, "he was about to hit you, why did not you do anything?" Hitori demanded urgently.

Kamiya gulped as he got up from the ground and stared at Hitori. 'It was about to hit me?' Kamiya questioned.

Hitori was using his cultivated mana once again and had conjured only Yagi because he was the most reliable of all when it comes to combat.

Hitori and Yagi exchanged glances before both of them rushed at Kazon who was balancing himself from the sudden shock.

Kazon had turned invisible once again. Kamiya placed his palm under his glasses and rubbed his eyes, "am I the only one who can not see the Duergar?"

Kazon's solid body flashed in front of Kamiya when Hitori and Yagi clashed with him. They engaged in a fight.

Yagi could easily keep up with Hitori's agility and hence helped him inflict minor damages. And he also followed every order Hitori gave him.

Hitori can speak the Dwarvish, Elvish, and Sylvan languages when his conjuration skill is activated and… only when he uses his cultivated mana to fuel the skill. So he was able to order Yagi around.

Whenever Hitori would bring his hammer near Kazon, instead of blocking the hammer, Kazon would avoid the hammer and back up.

This continued for a while and Kamiya watched as none of them got a hit on each other, only Yagi had managed to take five or six health points every time.

Kazon, due to Yagi's increasing threat, turned to Yagi and ignored Hitori's hammer– not totally because he dodged another swing.

Yagi ducked to save his head then he bent down and charged at Kazon. His hammer went through nothing once again.

Yagi's hand grabbed a cold leather grip, Hitori noticed it and jumped away from Kazon. The next second, Yagi followed him.

Kazon took a step and stopped when he realized the magic dagger had been taken from his stomach and blood was pouring from the hole.

"I got the dagger," Yagi lifted his hand to Hitori.

Hitori glanced at the dagger. He turned to Kamiya and said, "Take this dagger and help us!" Hitori took the dagger from Yagi's hand and threw it at Kamiya.

"Because I have something better for you… if you are willing to." Hitori shrugged.

Kamiya looked down at his dagger then glanced at Yagi, "keep it." Kamiya threw it back to Yagi, who caught it nicely.

Hitori pulled out the remaining two potion flasks and held them in his hands, "any pain?" Hitori asked.

Kamiya looked at him and simply shook his head.

Hitori smiled, "then take this!" Hitori threw the potions at Kamiya.

Kamiya grabbed the potions, then Hitori touched his ring and pulled out a silver shiny hammer.

Kamiya's eyes went wide along with Kazon's but Kazon's eyes settled down. He recognized Hohn's hammer immediately.

Hitori calmly walked up to Kamiya and placed the hammer in front of him, "I would like revenge, you know." Hitori glared down at Kamiya's stomach.

Kazon was shaken up from within when he saw Hohn's hammer in Kamiya's hands. He ran towards them with heavy steps.

Kamiya was startled by the sudden reaction, Hitori was already used to it.

They separated their ways. Yagi went to the right with Hitori and Kamiya rolled on the ground and rose behind a bush.

Kazon's hammer disturbed the ground, and mud along with grass sprouted everywhere.

Hitori pulled his knee while the other lay on the ground. "It is about the right weapon… it was always about the right weapon."

Yagi shook the mud off his hooves and pulled out the magic dagger in one hand and the ghost killer parang in one hand.

Hitori pushed his hand against the mud, "We are winning this…" he used his knee as a support to stand and pull his hammer straight, "without anyone's death. " Hitori raised his cold gaze at Kazon.

They all retreated and created some distance between them. Kamiya got up, Yagi got ready for bolting at Kazon, and Hitori clenched the hammer's handle tightly.

"Move."

Without waiting for another second, Yagi dashed forward. Kazon raised his hammer quickly. Yagi bent down but continued running forward.

Hitori lowered his gaze and bolted from his spot. It was hard for him to reach his fullest agility due to the heavy hammer he was carrying but it was more than enough to surpass Kazon's agility.

Then Yagi's weapons clashed against Kazon's hammer.

Light sparks erupted during the collision before Kazon overpowered Yagi's strength and pushed him away from him.

Hitori had caught up by now, he gave his hammer a full swing, and once again, Kazon ducked to dodge Hitori's attack.

Kamiya did not move from his spot, he continued studying their fight, he seemed to have figured out something.

Kazon rose, Hitori pulled his hammer back, Kazon rolled forward and blocked Yagi's weapons.

Hitori had a clear opening. Hitori prepared for a strong swing, he turned the hammer's side and aimed the spike at Kazon's back.

Yagi raised his leg to land a perfect kick in Kazon's chest. That pushed Kazon back and rolled on the ground to get up behind Hitori.

'Just how can an NPC monster have so much intelligence?' Hitori demanded an answer, 'maybe it has the wisdom ability?' Hitori frowned on that thought.

It was always easy and it will always be easy to defeat a dumb but dangerous monster– okay, it might a little challenging but always easy than defeating an intelligent being with mundane powers.

Because. It is about the right skill and the right use of a technique, not about the number of techniques or a skill's power. Of course, those elements matter.

Back to the story, Hitori ducked this time to dodge Kazon's swing, suddenly, Yagi popped up.

Kazon dodged Yagi's parang but was stabbed in the mail by the magic dagger. It did not pierce through the mail but damaged it enough.

Kamiya, on the other side, took a step forward. "This is it…" and an event occurred that claimed Kamiya's doubt to be true.

When Hitori raised his hammer, Kazon decided not to hit Yagi and run for his life instead of blocking the attack.

Kamiya had figured out Kazon's obvious weakness which was… soon proved not to be his weakness.

Kamiya's theory was proved wrong when Kazon came to a sudden stop, turned around, and blocked Hitori's attack.

Their hammers slammed against each other.
