Solo Dungeon Streamer-I Am Overpowered

Chapter 87: Thread 12: he Aftermath and Reactions

Chapter 87: Thread 12: he Aftermath and Reactions

320: Anonymous Explorer

The End

321: Anonymous Explorer

That was quick.

322: Anonymous Explorer

Did it really end in a single day? LOL.

323: Anonymous Explorer

Wasn't there a dungeon streamer from Sapporo who was all like, "I'm going to conquer the Sapporo Dungeon someday!" How did that turn out?

324: Anonymous Explorer

??323

Yeah, they got completely steamrolled by a random group of four sent by the government.

325: Anonymous Explorer

LOL. Is this the modern-day Ezo Conquest?

326: Anonymous Explorer

A group dispatched from the Imperial Court (the government) to subdue the Ezo (the unexplored dungeon). It really is the Ezo Conquest. So that makes Kisaragi the Shogun of the expedition.

327: Anonymous Explorer

He's like Sakanoue no Tamuramaro.

328: Anonymous Explorer

Are we having a history lesson now?

329: Anonymous Explorer

But isn't the salaryman more like the Shogun? He was the one leading the party.

330: Anonymous Explorer

??329

Nah, the salaryman was just organizing things because he's the only sane one. Jinguji Kaede was really the one at the center of it all.

331: Anonymous Explorer

At the center? More like she was the berserker charging ahead into battle.

332: Anonymous Explorer

Kamishiro Rion was also charging ahead, so it's fine. EX ranks are just a bunch of savages.

333: Anonymous Explorer

Now that the Sapporo Dungeon has been conquered, the number of visitors won't really change. Just look at the Takayama Dungeon. It was fully conquered, but nothing changed there either.

334: Anonymous Explorer

Yeah, even if the deep floors are cleared, it doesn't affect the explorers in the upper and middle floors at all. The only ones making a fuss about this are regular people who don't even go into dungeons.

335: Anonymous Explorer

I've heard more tourists will start coming, though, including some explorers from abroad for sightseeing.

336: Anonymous Explorer

Just being known as a dungeon with cleared deep floors makes it a hot topic.

337: Anonymous Explorer

??335

I remember hearing something similar when a dungeon in another country was cleared. Non-explorers would visit the entrance for sightseeing, and WDAO-member countries allow explorers some freedom to explore, so it attracted a lot of people.

??334

The media's going crazy too. They tried asking the EX group a bunch of questions without any regard, and Jinguji Kaede just glared at them.

339: Anonymous Explorer

I was at the entrance of the Sapporo Dungeon when the EX explorers came back, and the place was swarming with reporters. Why are there so many media outlets?

340: Anonymous Explorer

??339

Apparently, it's so they can "keep each other in check" and ensure neutral reporting… But in reality, it's all biased reporting and privacy invasions.

341: Anonymous Explorer

I'm a small-time explorer mainly working in the Sapporo Dungeon. Watching the deep-floor streams doesn't help me understand anything.

342: Anonymous Explorer

That's expected.

343: Anonymous Explorer

To the regulars who can reach the deep floors, this might just feel like another instance of EX explorers stealing all the glory. But for those of us stuck on the upper floors, nothing changes.

344: Anonymous Explorer

It's not that we're stuck. The upper floors of Sapporo Dungeon are popular because the monsters are predictable and easy to handle. The people there don't have any ambition to move up to the middle floors.

345: Anonymous Explorer

Yeah, the upper floors of Sapporo Dungeon only have specific types of monsters, and there's never been any exceptions. It's basically an unchanging dungeon.

346: Anonymous Explorer

You mean those small, glass-like golem things?

347: Anonymous Explorer

Small (1 meter).

348: Anonymous Explorer

That's still pretty small.

349: Anonymous Explorer

They're made of glass, so they're incredibly fragile. You can just take a basic iron club, smash them, and get magic stones. It's probably the easiest place in Japan to make money from the upper floors.

350: Anonymous Explorer

Meanwhile, Shibuya Dungeon's upper floors have those ridiculously hard Steel Ants. That's just unfair.

351: Anonymous Explorer

??349

In the upper floors of Takayama Dungeon, you can hunt big, but relatively weak, chickens and sell their meat for more than magic stones. Though there aren't that many of them.

352: Anonymous Explorer

That's pointless if you can't find them. Sapporo's glass golems are everywhere.

353: Anonymous Explorer

Just go to the middle floors.

354: Anonymous Explorer

The middle floors start introducing all sorts of weird monsters. No thanks.

355: Anonymous Explorer

The middle floors of Sapporo Dungeon are seriously tougher than those in Shibuya.

356: Anonymous Explorer

The upper floors of Shibuya are harder, but once you hit the middle floors, Sapporo's dungeon gets way tougher. No idea about the lower floors, though.

357: Anonymous Explorer

But from what I've seen, the deep floors of Shibuya Dungeon are way worse. Just watch Kisaragi's streams.

358: Anonymous Explorer

Honestly, after a dungeon's been conquered, I kinda lose interest in going there. Are there any other good dungeons?

359: Anonymous Explorer

We've got dungeon "purity fanboys" now?

360: Anonymous Explorer

??359

LOL.

361: Anonymous Explorer

??359

Dungeon purity fanboys. LOL. That's hilarious.

362: Anonymous Explorer

??359

I hate myself for laughing at something so dumb.

363: Anonymous Explorer

??358

That attitude is why you're stuck on the upper floors.

364: Anonymous Explorer

So, you're saying, "I'm not going to the conquered Sapporo Dungeon because it's used goods. I'll go to an unconquered dungeon instead"? You've gotta be joking. Do you even realize how far apart dungeons are?

365: Anonymous Explorer

What's the nearest dungeon to Sapporo?

366: Anonymous Explorer

Probably Wakkanai's?

367: Anonymous Explorer

Isn't Aomori's dungeon closer in a straight line?

368: Anonymous Explorer

??366

??367

This is what I'm talking about. If you want to make a living off dungeons, you have to live near one.

369: Anonymous Explorer

So, the people living near Nagoya Dungeon, which no one can conquer, are the weakest?

370: Anonymous Explorer

??369

Can't argue with that… Aichi is pretty much screwed.

371: Anonymous Explorer

But the Takayama and Ise dungeons are nearby. (whispers)

372: Anonymous Explorer

Ise isn't that close.

373: Anonymous Explorer

It's still a million times better than the distance between Sapporo and Wakkanai.

374: Anonymous Explorer

LOL. People always underestimate how huge Hokkaido is.

375: Anonymous Explorer

I live in Sapporo, but I've never been to a dungeon. I don't even know much about magic. I've never taken a magic aptitude test—just a NEET.

376: Anonymous Explorer

??375

As a NEET, it's probably too physically demanding for you, so just don't bother.

377: Anonymous Explorer

You might think you've got some hidden power that'll make you rich, but in reality, only people willing to risk their lives make money from this. It's not something a NEET sitting around on a forum could handle.

378: Anonymous Explorer

You're better off getting a regular part-time job.

379: Anonymous Explorer

You can't even do that, which is why you're a NEET.

380: Anonymous Explorer

LOL.

381: Anonymous Explorer

People might think being an explorer is an easy job, but the top explorers make an absurd amount of money.

382: Anonymous Explorer

Only the top guys get rich, though. Same as in any company. The execs get paid several times more than your annual salary—just from bonuses.

But I wouldn't know.

383: Anonymous Explorer

Honestly, Sapporo Dungeon isn't that great for making money. It's pretty much the same as Shibuya. I tried going to the middle floors last month and ended up in the hospital.

384: Anonymous Explorer

You're lucky to be alive.

385: Anonymous Explorer

??383

Almost died. LOL.

386: Anonymous Explorer

You're lucky it was just a hospital stay. Plenty of people get greedy and end up dead in the deeper floors.

387: Anonymous Explorer

The middle and lower floors of Sapporo Dungeon all look the same. It's hard to even tell where you are.

388: Anonymous Explorer

You should take notes every time you go down a staircase. Makes it easier to track where you are.

389: Anonymous Explorer

Is there an age limit for becoming an explorer?

390: Anonymous Explorer

It's like getting a driver's license. You can do it even if you're 60 or 80. Whether you can actually explore dungeons is another question, though.

391: Anonymous Explorer

I quit my job because my company was terrible. Thinking of trying my hand at being an explorer.

392: Anonymous Explorer

Don't do it.

393: Anonymous Explorer

Here it is—the classic explorer failure story. "I quit my job because it was awful, so now I'm going to become an explorer." I've never seen a real one until now. LOL.

394: Anonymous Explorer

??391

Make sure you take a magic aptitude test first. To qualify as an explorer, you need a magic level of about 20. But to get to the middle floors, you'll need at least 50.

395: Anonymous Explorer

What's the magic level even based on?

396: Anonymous Explorer

It's calculated in some complicated way that I don't understand. I've never had to use my magic level since becoming an explorer, so I don't even know my own.

397: Anonymous Explorer

It's not like height, where you can easily measure it.

398: Anonymous Explorer

??394

I took a magic aptitude test the other day, and I got a 53. Is that high? I don't really know much about being an explorer, so can someone explain it to me?

399: Anonymous Explorer

??398

Go become an explorer right now.

400: Anonymous Explorer

Dude, you should totally become an explorer. You'll make way more than at a black company.

401: Anonymous Explorer

The sudden change of opinion. LOL.

402: Anonymous Explorer

Well, if someone seems promising, of course we'll recommend it. He has a magic level of 50! He could easily become a middle-floor explorer.

403: Anonymous Explorer

If you can consistently explore the middle floors, you'll make more than the average salaryman. You should get your explorer's license and start hitting the dungeons.

404: Anonymous Explorer

??391

Here are some links to basic dungeon knowledge:

http://????????

http://????????

Check these out, and then take the Explorer Association's training. With your magic level, the upper floors should be a breeze.

405: Anonymous Explorer

??391

Here's a basic dungeon course:

http://????????

It's Kisaragi's, and I highly recommend it. The practical stuff is a bit tough, but if you can manage, you'll be able to handle the middle floors. You definitely need to learn how to control your magic, though. That's what makes the difference between minor injuries and major ones.

406: Anonymous Explorer

The sudden kindness. LOL.

407: Anonymous Explorer

Classic forum behavior—switching from tough love to being helpful in an instant.

408: Anonymous Explorer

Thanks for all the advice. I've already scheduled my exam for the explorer's license. I'm going to try being a freelance explorer.

409: Anonymous Explorer

Magic aptitude tests should be mandatory at company health check-ups.

410: Anonymous Explorer

??409

But then the companies would lose workers, and Keidanren (the business federation) wouldn't be happy about that.

411: Anonymous Explorer

Stop being a lapdog for the Ministry of Finance.

412: Anonymous Explorer

I wonder if the Sapporo Dungeon golem keychains will suddenly start selling like crazy. I've been making them.

413: Anonymous Explorer

??412

What the hell is that…

414: Anonymous Explorer

??412

What made you think that would sell? I'm curious.

415: Anonymous Explorer

You've got no business sense, man. Give it up.

416: Anonymous Explorer

Huh? I actually bought one as a souvenir from my trip to Sapporo.

417: Anonymous Explorer

LOL, there's a fan.

418: Anonymous Explorer

Really? I don't think, "Hey, I should start making Sapporo Dungeon keychains," is going to catch on.

419: Anonymous Explorer

I just got here, but did the Sapporo Dungeon really get cleared while I was away? I was planning to conquer it someday in my hometown. How did they clear it so fast? I wanted to study and prepare for it properly first.

420: Anonymous Explorer

Have you been living under a rock? This has been all over the news. How could you not know? You must be a total NEET.

421: Anonymous Explorer

Why do NEETs who have no idea about dungeons always pop up on these forums?
