Chapter 170: Ming Yuelin vs Chen Zin [2]

Chapter 170: Ming Yuelin vs Chen Zin [2]

As the battle continued, Jin Wei was quite surprised because even though both of them are in the same cultivation stage, Ming Yuelin has an upper hand.

And Ming Yulin is an archer while Chen Zin is, so in close range... Chen Zin should have the advantage.

But even there, Ming Yuelin is deftly dodging her attacks and counter-attacking.

'What the hell did he feed her?'

It has only been 6 months since Jin Wei took Chen Zin as her disciple, so she couldn't teach her sword intent yet...

Maybe if she had learned sword intent, the fight might have been easier for Chen Zin.

Long Yue who was standing beside Zhang Yuan glanced at him in the corner of her eyes and asked "Master... who do you think will win?"

Looking at her Zhang Yuan smiled faintly "Of course my disciple would win..."

Jin Wei heard this and pouted her lips "No Senior Yuan.. see how Zin'er is going to bounce back."

*thoom* *crack* As the intense battle raged on, the field around them seemed to pulse with energy.

Ming Yuelin and Chen Zin had been trading blows, their elemental powers clashing in dazzling bursts of fire and light.

Chen Zin, panting from the fierce exchanges, watched as Ming Yuelin drew her bow back once more, the familiar shimmer of a silver arrow forming in the air.

*woosh* Her lips curled into a smirk, and in a sudden, unexpected move, she shot forward with a burst of speed.

Her sword, glowing with the heat of her fire element, lashed out like a viper, striking the bow with such force that it was torn from Ming Yuelin's grip.

*thud* *clank* The bow flew across the battlefield, skidding to a stop far out of reach.

Seeing this, Jin Wei smiled "Now how is your disciple going to fight without a bow."

Meanwhile, Long Yue was terrified as she raised her hand and touched her nose 'That woman is scary when she doesn't have a bow...'

Ming Yuelin's eyes widened in surprise as her weapon was knocked away, and before she could react, Chen Zin was standing mere inches from her, her blade pressed threateningly against her throat.

"I've got you now," Chen Zin sneered, her fiery eyes gleaming with satisfaction. "Without your bow, you're dead meat."

A bow-wielder without her weapon, facing an opponent as skilled as Chen Zin with her sword, seemed like an unwinnable situation.

Chen Zin, brimming with confidence, relished the moment, thinking the fight was already won.

Ming Yuelin's expression didn't crumble into fear, nor did she look defeated.

Instead, her lips curled into a calm, almost amused smile.

Huh? The fuck is she smiling for? Chen Zin's smirk faltered for a brief moment as she saw the look in Ming Yuelin's eyes.

*flick* Without warning, Ming Yuelin ducked under Chen Zin's sword and closed the distance between them in a blur.

Before Chen Zin could fully react to what was happening, Ming Yuelin's fist shot out, driving directly into Chen Zin's stomach with brutal force.

*Baam*

"Gah!" Chen Zin's eyes widened in shock as the breath was knocked from her lungs.

She stumbled back a step, clutching her abdomen, but Ming Yuelin didn't give her any time to recover.

*woosh* In an instant, she closed the gap again, her movements swift and fluid like water.

With a fierce gleam in her eyes, she brought her leg up in a powerful roundhouse kick, slamming it into Chen Zin's side.

*THWACK*

Chen Zin was sent sprawling across the ground, her sword clattering beside her as she hit the dirt hard.

Chen Zin coughed, spitting blood as she struggled to push herself up from the ground.

Her fiery sword lay just out of reach, and as she tried to crawl toward it, Ming Yuelin appeared in front of her again, her foot coming down to kick the sword even farther away.

"Did you really think…" Ming Yuelin began, her voice cold and calm, "…that I'd be helpless without my bow?"

Chen Zin gritted her teeth, a surge of anger flashing in her eyes.

She pushed herself up to her feet, refusing to back down. "You're an archer! Without your weapon, you're nothing!"

Ming Yuelin's smile only widened. "Who said I need a bow to beat you?"

Before Chen Zin could respond, Ming Yuelin launched herself at her again.

*thoom* *thoom* This time, she aimed a flurry of punches at Chen Zin's midsection and chest.

The impact of each hit sent shockwaves through Chen Zin's body, driving her backward as she struggled to block the relentless attacks.

She managed to raise her arms to defend herself, but Ming Yuelin's speed and ferocity were overwhelming.

BAM! BAM! BAM!

Fists connected with Chen Zin's torso, knocking the wind out of her and forcing her to retreat.

But even as she tried to create distance, Ming Yuelin didn't let up.

She shifted her weight and sent another powerful kick straight into Chen Zin's ribs, the crack of the impact echoing across the field.

CRACK!

Chen Zin cried out in pain, her body bending under the force of the blow as she crumpled to the ground, clutching her side.

Her vision blurred with pain, and the taste of blood filled her mouth.

She struggled to stand, her fiery sword still out of reach, her energy flickering and fading as she became more desperate.

Ming Yuelin, on the other hand, stood tall, breathing heavily but steady.

Her body glowed faintly with the energy of the Crimson Phoenix flames, now fueling her own physical attacks.

Chen Zin, struggling to rise from the ground with blood staining her robes and her breaths coming in ragged gasps, refused to admit defeat

With the energy she had left, she reached out and grabbed her fallen sword, her fingers curling around its hilt.

Chen Zin swung her flaming sword, the air sizzling around the blade as it sliced through the space where Ming Yuelin stood.

As Chen Zin's flaming sword sliced through the air, Ming Yuelin barely managed to twist her body and avoid the brunt of the attack.

However, the flames that danced along Chen Zin's blade grazed her arm, scorching the fabric of her sleeve and leaving a searing burn on her skin.

"Ugh..." Ming Yuelin gritted her teeth, feeling the sharp sting of the burn.

But she didn't have time to dwell on the pain as Chen Zin infused her sword with flames, and she swung it with deadly precision, aiming to finish the fight.

Jin Wei was shocked and muttered, "Seems like we need to stop it... she is using a sword and it might hurt her really bad."

But Zhang Yuan stopped her "Don't worry... Nothing will happen."
