Soul for a Girlfriend?

Chapter 150 - The Lilith I Didn't Know

Chapter 150 - The Lilith I Didn't Know

"Nee-chan?!" I exclaimed as I wasn't expecting my sister to appear from behind the door. She was looking at me with a smug smile as she opened the door wide and gestured for me to come in.

"Why are you surprised?" She asked as I was taking off my shoes. I looked at her, and replied, "I thought you're gone."

"No, no… I was at a friend's place because she had some stuff to take care of."

Yesterday she left as if she was going back to her university, but I guess it was a wrong assumption on my part. I should have at least asked her about this. I was really relieved when she left, so this thought skipped my mind.

"So… you could've at least texted me that you're coming." I said, as I walked towards my room, trying to keep my calm composure. I glanced at Lilith's face, and I could tell she was enjoying this too much.

"What? I thought you already knew." A frown formed on her face as she complained.

"Of course not!" I sighed, opening the door of my bedroom. I didn't have my school bag with me since I just went to watch the match.

I quickly jumped on my bed and stretched my arms and legs like a cat. Though the size of my bedroom wasn't huge, it wasn't too small at the same time. Nee-chan was looking around the room, as she commented, "Well I have to say that your apartment is cleaner than I imagined it to be."

"You know I don't like messy things…" I didn't like things around me to be unorganised at all. It makes me feel agitated for some reason if things aren't kept in a particular manner.

Nee-chan turned towards Lilith, who smiled politely at her, as she said, "Oh by the way, you could've told me you're living with your neighbour for a while."

"Eh?"

Lilith asked me in a soft tone, which differed completely from her usual one. Her composure was different too, as she was giving off really mature vibes. "Why didn't you tell me your sister was coming over?"

I was hella confused looking at both of them, as it seemed like they already knew each other. Judging by the way Lilith was talking, I could safely assume that she had the situation under control.

Acting casually, I sat up and said, "I… wait… I didn't know she would come over."

Nee-chan narrowed her eyes at me and I could tell that she was a bit dubious about this ordeal, as she sarcastically gave Lilith a side glance and said, "I thought you're living with a secret girlfriend."

"Nee-chan!" I wasn't actually agitated, but appearing way too calm can be suspicious too, so I acted a bit flustered.

"What… don't blame me… anyone would misunderstand this situation." She shook her head from left to right slightly.

But I still had no knowledge of what conversation these two had before I came home, so I wasn't in a position to say anything randomly. I was about to say something, but that stopped me, "Uh…"

Looking at my troubled expression, Lilith looked at me and said, "Yeah… don't worry, I told her about the rectifier problem in my apartment."

I was glad that Lilith had the ability to read my mind at times like this. Though it might become a pain in the butt sometimes.

"Alright then…" I nodded, but I could still notice Nee-chan's eyes subtly scanning my room. She wasn't very convinced by our story.

"Your landlord is slacking off, I've to say." She said, as Lilith nodded instantly and replied, "I know, right! He is such a bastard!"

This was my first time watching Lilith interact with someone other than me. She actually was quite good at socializing, as I could tell by her calm composure and ability to read the room. But she is a bitch, that's another thing.

"When it comes to taking the rent, he'll be there first, but if you run into problems, you can't find him anywhere." Lilith said, clicking her tongue as she rested her hand on her waists. She was actually acting like a normal teenage girl for the first time.

"Ah, Lilith-san I understand… most of them are like that only…" Nee-chan said, and added, "Even the dorm head in my University is like that…"

"Oh yeah… you told me about it, Tokyo University right?" Lilith chuckled, covering her mouth. The Lilith in front of me appeared as if she was a completely different person.

Nee-chan looked at me gawking at Lilith, as she asked her, "Living with him isn't problematic I hope."

Lilith gave her a soft smile, and she replied, "Oh no no, he is actually quite considerate."

"Considerate? Him?" Nee-chan emphasised on the words, as she glanced towards me and I could tell she was trying her best to not burst out laughing.

"Yeah…" She nodded with a confused look on her face, but Nee-chan just attacked her directly with her godly question, "He didn't try anything lewd with you I hope!"

As those words left her mouth, even though I knew Lilith wouldn't mind them, it was still embarrassing for me. Lilith gave a blank stare and I exclaimed, "Nee-chan!"

With a subtle smile she turned towards my sister, and said calmly, "No no, I would break his arms if he does."

Nee-chan showed her the thumbs up gesture and laughed, "Yes, that's the spirit."

Looking at them talking comfortably with each other, I was a bit relieved because Lilith handled the situation way better than I imagined. Though Nee-chan might not be convinced, if I can play this off correctly with her, she would bat an eye towards us.

"Anyways you guys talk, I'm going to shower." I said, leaving the room and closing the door behind me. Though I wasn't the kind of person to eavesdrop on others' conversation, I stood still near the door listening to what they would talk about.
