Soul for a Girlfriend?

Chapter 242 - It Doesn't Look Consentual

Chapter 242 - It Doesn't Look Consentual

I was standing in front of a stall with the door wide open. I could see the figure of Ishihara standing in front of Moriko, who was sitting on the toilet seat with a dreadful expression on her face.

Even though I couldn't look at her face properly since Ishihara was standing in such a way that it covered my field of vision. He was leaning towards him, and Moriko seemed to be retaliating against him.

"What's happening?" My voice surprised them then as Ishihara immediately turned around and our eyes met. He narrowed his eyes at me and let out a noise, "Huh?"

"Saka...maki?" Moriko was shocked to see me, as she called out my name in her trembling voice. I could see the terror in her deep blue eyes, which were intently staring at me.

"Care to knock before entering?" Ishihara said with a casual smile on his face, as I narrowed my eyes at him and replied, "Just lock the damn door!"

"How embarrassing."

"What are you doing here? Weren't you gonna tell the staff about the brownies?" I asked him, as he nodded and replied, "Yeah I was… but then I met her on the way."

"And?"

"We thought about doing a quickie… you know?" He replied with quite the certainty in his voice that one might think he was actually telling the truth.

But he was full of shit.

"This… doesn't look consentual to me?" I said as my eyes shifted from him towards Moriko, who was slowly trying to get up from the seat, but Ishihara was standing quite close to her.

"She did… now if you will just leave us alone…" He said, walking towards me, as he raised his hand to push me away, but Moriko raised her voice in that instance and it caught both of us off guard, "No! I didn't… he is lying."

"Oi, Saishi… where are you dude?" I heard Sekiguchi's voice approach me from behind as I turned around and waved at him, "Here, Sekiguchi!"

"Why is he here?" Ishihara muttered under his breath. Sekiguchi had a confused look on his face as he was closing in on us. Looking at the situation, he narrowed his eyes and asked, "What were yo… what is happening?"

"Get your friend and tell him not to do stuff like this." I said in quite a rough tone that he was caught off guard and asked in a confused tone, "What?"

"Kazuo, he just walked in on us trying to…" Ishihara was trying his best to defend himself. Sekiguchi, being his friend, obviously prioritised him and nodded, "Yeah… I can see that."

"No! He is lying… He was getting his way with me!" Moriko said, getting up from the seat and making her way out of the stall. Looking at her, Ishihara immediately grabbed her wrist and said, "Oi Moriko! Why are you lying now?"

"I'm not… I'm not feeling well… and he told me that he'll help me." Moriko said, snatching her arm out of his grip and walking closer towards me and Sekiguchi.

Looking at her composure, Sekiguchi was slowly starting to get suspicious of this situation as well. He glanced at Ishihara slightly and then asked her, "Moriko… what are you saying?"

"Dude, she is lying… She was high and told me to do her." Ishihara interjected before she could even reply. Sekiguchi was quite concerned about his desperation.

"I don't think that's what happened." I replied and Ishihara instantly said through his teeth, "What do you know!?"

I was quiet about it for a while now but since he asked me that, I decided it was finally time for me to spill the beans. The whole reason which led me to checking up on her.

Glancing at his agitated face, I shifted my gaze over to Moriko and Sekiguchi for an instance before looking back at Ishihara and saying, "The fact that you put something in her juice… didn't you?"

At that split moment, I was looking at Ishihara and it appeared almost as if he was feeling a ton of emotions. His face changed from being a desperate one to a shocked one and dread fell upon him.

It was right.

I noticed him putting something in her drink when they started to lower the lights and blasting music. Though most of us were affected by the brownies so I dismissed it as me seeing things.

But later when Moriko got up to use the toilet and Ishihara followed her behind with the excuse that he was going to inform the staff about the brownies, it sounded rather off-putting.

I decided to wait for a bit, but Moriko didn't return, so I went to check on her.

Better to be safe than sorry.

"Oi… Saishi… I don't think he'll do something like that." Sekiguchi said with a bit of hesitation in his voice. Even though he knew that the situation was quite unusual, he still wanted to trust his friend.

I wouldn't blame him. Who wouldn't try to defend their friends in a predicament like that?

"Wha...what? My drink?" Morika said in a confused tone, and it appeared like she was probably having a bit of mental confusion from the drugs.

"Yeah… Kazuo, trust me. They're framing me." As soon as Moriko said that, Ishihara immediately defended himself with a desperate smile on his face.

He was trying to play it off cool.

What a scum.

"I got you dude, don't worry." Sekiguchi said, showing him his palm as an assuring gesture. But I knew that he was lying and trying to win this situation over by emotionally blackmailing him.

"You can see it in front of your eyes" I said, pointing towards Moriko, who was still quite scared and both of us could just tell by looking at her that she wasn't feeling well.

"I know but…" Sekiguchi was slowly comprehending the situation, and it appeared that he was coming to the conclusion that his friend might not be innocent after all. He glanced at Ishihara, who appeared to be victimising himself, as he said, "Dude, don't listen to him. I was literally trying to help her."

Sekiguchi was in quite the dilemma.

What was he going to choose?

His friend's lies or the reality of the situation presented before him.
