Chapter 148 - Killing The Elite Soldiers

Chapter 148 - Killing The Elite Soldiers

'Huh? Why are there no noises coming from inside?'

Commander Gill, who was standing outside the meeting hall, frowned when he didn't hear a single sound from the inside even after a few minutes.

He felt something was not right and entered the meeting hall only to see the 10 ex elite soldiers were lying on the ground with life-less eyes.

"Commander Gill, didn't you leave the town yet?"

Lucas walked towards the shocked Commander Gill as he asked him with a slight smile on his face.

"You..you…what did you do to them?"

Commander Gil felt fear rising in his heart when he saw the calm Lucas who was walking towards him and hurriedly stepped back.

"These rogues tried to kill me, the head of the Hellmore family that was blessed by the Heavens. So, they were punished accordingly."

Lucas explained as he placed his hand on Commander Gill's shoulder before asking, "Anyway, didn't I ask you to leave my Silverstone town already?"

"I…I forgot to congratulate the family head earlier. S..so, I came back to say that. Congratulations to the family head for becoming a Viscount."

Commander Gill sensed an unbearable pressure on his body that increased his fear. So, he hurriedly thought of something to escape his current situation.

Since the Hellmore family is ranked at Viscount grade by the heavens, as the family head of the Hellmore family, Lucas would naturally gain the title of the Viscount.

"It's okay."

Lucas maintained the nonchalant look on his face as he replied, "Since you said what you wanted to say, you can leave now."

After saying that, Lucas directly walked out of the meeting hall and moved towards the leaders and vice leaders of the families and the guilds.

"Viscount Lucas, I will take my leave now."

When Lucas moved out of the meeting hall, the pressure that was pressing him to the ground disappeared, making commander Gill a sigh of relief.

So, he hurriedly ran out of the meeting hall and flew off from the town along with his entire battalion because he roughly had an idea of why Lucas was so powerful.

'I have to leave this town and inform the head of the royal guards.'

This was the only thought in his mind as Commander Gill didn't bother about his image in front of others.

'What the hell?'

'Why is he running like that?'

'By the way, where are the 10 elite soldiers that enter the meeting hall with the commander?'

'Don't tell me that brat killed them.'

'If he really killed them, then he would definitely face the wrath of the royal family.'

The leaders and the vice leaders of the families and guilds looked at the fleeing Commander Gill and whispered to one another.

"Initially, I wanted to let you enter the Silverstone town after some punishment and compensation; however, I didn't expect today's events."

With a calm look on his face, Lucas continued speaking, "As you can see that I killed some elite soldiers of the royal family. So, from henceforth, the royal family will make things difficult for the Silverstone town and those staying in it."

'...'

Everyone was silent as they listened to Lucas' words.

Deep down most of them were happy and at the same time, they were a little sad.

Happy because the Hellmore family will not live peacefully from today onwards because of their feud with the royal family and sad because they will be leaving their properties in the Silverstone town.

"So, if you are willing to follow my orders, I will forget about your previous act of cowardice and welcome you into the Silverstone town. As for others….."

"Who wants to go against the royal family?"

Before Lucas could finish his words, all the leaders of the families left with their vice leaders.

"Ours is just a small branch of the guilds and if our main branch hears about it, they would order us to leave the town."

Similarly, all the guilds left without a second thought.

"Young master, we don't need someone like them in our town as they would run away amidst the crisis anyway."

Looking at the backs of the leaving leaders and vice leaders of the families and the guilds that used to stay in the Silverstone town, Beck tried to say something to Lucas, assuming that he was disappointed.

"Haha…I just wanted to give them a second chance. Looks like the royal family's name is enough to scare them away."

Lucas didn't have much hope in them from the beginning; however, he still tried giving them a chance anyway.

"Good."

Beck revealed a bright smile on her face.

"Clear the bodies…"

"Little Ada already ate them."

Before Lucas could finish his orders, Beck informed Lucas.

'This girl is….'

Lucas shook his head and looked at the Old Bernard before saying, "Old man, you came at the right time. Before I give other tasks, how did your previous task go?"

Previously, Lucas sent the old Bernard away to find some young men who were barely maintaining their lives or orphans.

Even though he was using the same method as the mysterious organization from his previous life, Lucas was not going to force anyone and at the same time, he was not going to let a single one of them die in their training.

'I am giving them a chance to change their fates and if they don't want to take any risk, I can just give them some normal jobs in the town.'

Originally, Lucas was planning to train them secretly; however, right now, he got an entire town to do whatever he wanted to do. So, he decided to change his plans a little and train them in the Silverstone town itself.

"For the past few days, I went to a dozen towns that are nearest to the Silverstone town and gathered some young men that met the family head's conditions. Just like you ordered, I said only a few words 'If you want to change your fate, go to the Hellmore family in the Silverstone town'."

Bernard respectfully informed everything regarding his mission to Lucas.
