Chapter 165 - Gameplay

Chapter 165 - Gameplay

'Ding,

The host met the conditions to unlock a new system feature 'Gameplay'. Please activate it to use that feature.

Just when Lucas was feeling excited about the main dungeon boss, he received a series of system notifications informing him about the strength of the dungeon boss and at the same time, a new system feature was unlocked.

'Holy heavens…a new system feature just like that?'

Lucas was pleasantly surprised with the new system feature compared to the strength of the dungeon boss.

Without wasting any time, he stood in his place without moving and disappeared from everyone' view as his [Invisiblity] spell's effect activated.

"Huh? Where did you go?"

The main dungeon boss was surprised by the sudden disappearance of Lucas as he revealed an eerie smile on his face.

'While you search for me, I will take a quick glance at the new system feature.'

Lucas knew it would not take much time for the dungeon boss to find out that he was standing in the same place. So, he hurriedly checked the information on the new system feature.

'Ding,

          System feature:- Gameplay

Use:- When fighting the main dungeon bosses, the system will turn the boss fight into a gameplay for the host where there would be two bars namely [HP] and [MP]. Whenever the host lands an attack on the boss, the [HP] will decrease and when it hits zero, it will be killed.

Note:- 1) It is only applicable for dungeon bosses.

                    2) [HP] is Hitpoints and []MP] is Mana points.

          Current status:- Inactive.

'Huh?'

Lucas didn't understand much about the new system feature as he didn't play a single game in the previous life; however, he was not completely clueless about it as he heard some things from his acquaintance Quickscar.

'Anyway, let's learn it.'

Even though he didn't know how useful this feature was, since the system had unlocked it, he could guess that it was useful.

So, he decided to see how useful it was and without wasting any time, he muttered, 'activate the feature.'

As the feature was 'inactive', he activated it and soon, Lucas could see something that he was unable to see earlier.

'So, these are the bars that the system has mentioned.'

Looking at the two horizontal bars above the dungeon boss' head, Lucas muttered to himself.

Moreover, there were [HP] and [MP] beside the bars showing which bar was [HP] and [MP].

'[HP] and [MP] are at 30000; however, [MP] bar is not fully filled. Is it because of the skill he used to summon the 12 skeletal warriors?'

Lucas looked at the red bar which was 30 percent grey compared to the green coloured bar and muttered to himself.

"I know you are still hiding in this boss. Everyone, use your skills in all directions."

While Lucas was checking out the new system feature, he came out of his thoughts with the dungeon boss' words.

'I still don't know what its use was; however, I can't stay still any longer. It is time to fight.'

Since he had already checked out the information on his new system feature, Lucas moved away from his place as one of the skeletal knights swung his sword at him.

[Shadow Clones]

After dodging the incoming attack, Lucas summoned his shadow clones who rushed forward to fight the skeletal warriors.

[Darkwind blades]

As for himself, Lucas used the wide range attack to clear as many skeletal warriors as possible.

'Clang'

'Clang'

However, who would have thought that the 12 skeletal warriors form into a formation in which four skeletal knights will stand in the front with skeletal assassins behind them. In the last row, skeletal mages were chanting their spells.

The four skeletal knights used their swords to deflect all the dark wind blades that were coming towards them.

'Huh? Looks like they have some intelligence despite being skeletons.'

Lucas was obviously surprised to see the intelligence; however, he didn't bother to waste his time playing these minions anymore.

"Phantom, Blackie, come out."

Seeing that the skeletal warriors were different from before, Lucas didn't hesitate to summon the Phantom eagle and the blackwind panther.

'Screech'

'Roar'

As soon as they were summoned, they let out the noises to show their excitement.

'Protect me for some time.'

Lucas secretly gave the order to his shadow clones and his tamed spirit beasts who stood in front of him, while he secretly chanted an advanced spell.

"Keke…interesting."

As for the dungeon boss, he chuckled when he saw Lucas had some minions of his own.

"Do you think I have only 12 minions? If so, then you are quite mistaken."

With his usual eerie smile, the dungeon boss stamped the ground with his wooden staff while shouting, "Wake up, my soldiers. We have some company to take care of."

'Rumble'

Soon, more and more skeletal warriors of different professions started rising from the ground and within no time, the total number of skeletal warriors reached 50.

Each one of them has the strength of tier 5 lesser ranks in their own profession.

'Huh? His [MP] is nil. Does that mean he can't summon the skeletal warriors anymore?'

Lucas was not afraid of the number of the skeletal warriors as he noticed the empty [MP] bar.

However, in his head, another doubt arose and it was, 'So far, he only used the summoning (undead) magic. What about his other professions?'

The dungeon boss in front of Lucas was clearly an expert in three professions like Knight, Mage and Assassin. However, he only used a spell and yet to use any skills from the other professions.

'Anyway, an advanced spell is enough to severely injure him.'

Lucas could feel that his shadow clones and the tame spirit beasts will not hold for much longer. So, he finished his chanting before ordering, 'Everyone retreat'.

'Screech'

'Roar'

'Swoosh'

Everyone was very fast as they retreated and stood behind Lucas.

[Infernal Bomb]

The fire elements condensed into a ball in front of Lucas within no time before he aimed it at the dungeon boss.

'Boom'
