Sovereign of the Firmaments

Chapter 2 - Lucas Hellmore

Chapter 2 - Lucas Hellmore

'Lucas...Hellmore?'

For Lonewolf who endured even more hellish pains, the slight pain in his head was not a big issue and after checking the new memories in his head, he understood everything.

'So, I have really transmigrated. I never thought that Quickscar's fantasies were true.'

He suddenly thought of one of the deadly assassins who survived the hellish training. Even though Lonewolf didn't talk with others much, the assassin named Quickscar used to talk a lot and transmigration was one of them.

'According to him, there should be some gift for the trasmigrator, right?'

Lonewolf, for the first time in his life, thought about something other than killing.

'Damn it...what am I even thinking? Compared to my previous world, this world is even more cruel.'

Soon, Lonewolf cursed himself as he thought about the world he had transmigrated.

From his memories, in this world, killing is as common as cutting vegetables.

'I asked for a peaceful life but why the hell did I transmigrate into this dog-eat-dog world.'

Lonewolf could not help but curse in his head.

"Brother, how are you feeling? Are you okay?"

Seeing that his brother was spacing out, Evan Hellmore asked with a worried look on his face.

"Huh?"

Lonewolf came out of his thoughts and looked at the skinny boy who was worried for him before replying in a stern voice, "I am okay."

This was the first time he saw someone who was worried for him. So, he could not help but feel something in his heart which he had never felt in his previous life.

"Second young master, the first young master still needs some rest."

Seeing that the boy was about to ask even more questions, the old man standing beside him stopped the boy from asking any more questions before taking him to the adjacent room in the cave.

'Phew'

Seeing that both the boy and the old man leave the small room, Lonewolf heaved a sigh of relief as he slowly looked into the memories of Lucas Hellmore.

That's right!

The previous owner of the body was called Lucas Hellmore and he died after getting beaten up by the servants of the Liontalon family's young master.

'So, the Hellmore family and the Liontalon family are blood enemies and what's more, after a long stalemate, the Liontalon family successfully destroyed the Hellmore family leaving the brothers…Poor kids.'

After learning everything that happened to the Hellmore family, the heartless assassin also could not help but feel a little pity; however, he didn't have any plans to take revenge on them.

'Anyway, tomorrow, we will be leaving for the ninth firmament anyway. So, there is no reason to go against such a powerful family.'

Lonewolf, who was tired of fighting from his past life didn't want to continue in this life also.

'After going back to the ninth firmament, I can live peacefully with my new brother.'

The only thought in his mind was to have a peaceful life with his brother.

In his previous life, Lonewolf was just an orphan and even though he worked with the other assassins, they were just emotionless creatures just like him.

So, he wanted to treasure the brother he got in this life.

....

Next day,

"Young master, can you walk or should I...?"

"No need. I can walk."

Lonewolf...no, Lucas Hellmore slowly stood up from the ground as he replied to the old servant in a stern voice.

Since he didn't have many conversations in his past life, Lonewolf could only speak in a stern voice.

"Yes, young master."

The old man Bernard nodded his head.

Soon, a 16-year old young man, a 10-year old boy and an old man walked out of a cave.

Once Hellmore was a mightly family equivalent to Liontalon; however, now they didn't own a single property as everything was taken away by the Liontalon family.

Even though they had some gold coins on them, they can't use them in this firmament because they were banished by the Liontalon family.

"Young masters, do you want to say goodbye to the master who saved your lives?"

After walking for some time, the old servant asked his two young masters behind him.

"I wan..."

"There is no need. He only saved us because he owes the father. He just wanted to clear that favour."

Before Evan could speak Lucas interrupted him as he scoffed at the person who saved their lives.

The Liontalon family was not magnanimous to leave the offspring of Hellomore just like that. The reason why the Hellmore brothers were alive was because of the firmament ruler who came just when the brothers' lives were at stake.

'Such a cunning ruler.'

Even though it looked like the firmament ruler saved their lives, it was just bullshit.

If he really wanted to save the Hellmore family, then he should have stopped the Liontalon family before they even initiate the attack.

"But brother..."

"Evan"

Before Evan could say anything, Lucas berated him.

'Sobs...Brother, you have never shouted at me like that.'

Evan was just a little kid who didn't have much understanding regarding the cruelty of the world. However, Lucas' voice made Evan cry.

'Damn it...I need to become a normal person. I am not a deadly assassin anymore. I am Lucas Hellmore.'

Even though Lonewolf decided to take Lucas' identity, he was unable to blend into it perfectly because of his lack of emotions in the past life.

"Sorry, Evan."

Nevertheless, Lonewolf tried his best to act as gentle as possible to calm Evan down.

However, in his so-called gentle tone, there is still a little bit of sternness.

"I am sorry, brother. Since you are the head of the Hellmore family, you have to shout at others just like how our father used to shout."

Evan didn't bother about the sternness in his brother's voice as he rubbed his nose.

'Is this how a blood relation works? Why is my heart aching with his words? Also, when did I become a family head?'

There were many new emotions in his head that were new to him; however, he suppressed all of them and looking at his brother, he said, "Don't worry, I will not shout at you no matter what."

"Really?"

"I promise."

Lucas promised Evan without thinking for a moment.

'I like this life compared to my previous one.'

Even though this life is not perfect, Lonewolf liked it compared to his previous life.

With that thought in his mind, he walked towards the firmament portal with his brother and family servant.

'Ding,

Activating the transmigrator's gift.
