Chapter 194 Killing a Hegemon
Chapter 194 Killing a Hegemon
They turned to stare daggers at each other before Khellendra touched Khalendros’ hand.
“Why argue with a boy over such meaningless things?” Her touch seemed to say.
“Fine. Good news first.” Khalendros conceded reluctantly.
“Good news, Fortune Hermit Mountain is still under my Eldest Senior Brother’s control. My Second Senior Brother tried to wrest it away from him, but he failed to defeat Eldest Senior Brother, even with his black Living Armor.” Autumn said.
“Okay… That’s good news for you. But completely meaningless to us.” Elliot rolled his eyes at her.
“Of course it’s meaningful for you as well!” Autumn shot back at him with a glare. “Because Fortune Hermit Mountain is still safe, it simply means that I can still remain here and hunt Shadow Parasites! The sooner they all perish, the sooner your planet can be safe from the threat of obliteration by nukes!”
“Ah. Right, you have a point there.” Elliot nodded thoughtfully. “What’s the bad news?”
“The bad news is… Eldest Senior Brother’s informant in Second Senior Brother’s camp had just told him that Second Senior Brother had received an emergency update from Fifth Senior Brother. And that he’s on his way here!”
Elliot and the two dragons could only stare at her in stunned silence.
A full fledged Hegemon, and one with Living Armor, was on his way to Planet Earth?!
“It doesn’t make sense.” Khellendra frowned deeply. “Why would he, a Hegemon, react that way to Divine Fighter’s news of defeat? It’s such a massive overreaction! Unless…”
Khellendra gasped as a delicious piece of gossip struck her. “Unless… Divine Fighter is his secret son! A love child with your Master’s favorite disciple!”
“Pffft. Of course not!” Autumn couldn’t help but laugh at Khellendra’s absurd suggestion. “You must have watched too many Karyan Drama!”
“I love Karyan Drama.” Khellendra chuckled. “They are extremely entertaining. Anyway, if it is not that, then why?”
At that, Khalendros and Autumn turned to look at Elliot.
After a moment, Khellendra did as well.
“He wants your ability.” Khellendra said slowly as understanding dawned upon her. “He wants whatever you had which allowed you to penetrate his living armor so easily!”
“How long till he arrives?” Elliot asked Autumn calmly.
“It took me around two weeks to get here. Second Senior Brother is much stronger than me. He should be able to make the trip in a week or less.” Autumn said.
Elliot nodded quietly.
His eyes flashed in anger at the injustice of it all.
All he wanted was a simple life. A life where he and his sisters could live in peace.
But time and again, all sorts of tragedy had to strike him.
Aliens came to toy with his planet.
A damned fugitive Emperor forced Jessica to commit suicide and kidnapped Jennifer.
A cheating Game Master tried to pick him off by sending five legendary beasts to kill him before the apocalypse even began the second time around.
He was forced into a Battle Royale against his will.
An Emperor level rebel disciple of a powerful Ancient level warrior tried to kill him.
And now, that rebel’s Senior brother who is at Hegemon level was out to find him!
Why? Why did all this nonsense happen to Elliot?
The answer was very simple.
“I am still too weak.” Elliot concluded coldly in his mind. “I am forced to run once more because I am too weak to defend myself. I can deal with Emperors now, but once a Hegemon takes action, I am but a little baby before them! They could do whatever they want to me!”
“Three days.” Elliot told the two dragons quietly. “We’ll go rescue my sister in three days. After that, please go into hiding and protect my sisters.”
A searing hot aura radiated from Elliot at that moment as he subconsciously stirred all of his Purgatory Fire Energy and circulated them at full speed around his body.
Above him, the red dragon energy appeared once more in all of its glory.
However, it was much more vibrant and much more ferocious than before. And instead of appearing as a sleeping dragon, it was completely wide awake.
GRRRRRRR.
The red dragon growled deeply as it rapidly coalesced into being.
“Three days is good.” Khellendra agreed and glanced at Khalendros, who nodded as well.
“Good.” Elliot said quietly, betraying none of all the flux of emotions stirring in his heart.
However, the red dragon was under no compulsion to hide any of HIS emotions.
It stood up and let out a thunderous roar of anger that helped Elliot give vent to a tiny bit of his anger!
GRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!
The red dragon’s roar was so powerful that the ground trembled lightly.
“Hmmm?” Autumn’s eyes widened in surprise as she looked at the very realistic red dragon above Elliot. “Your energy awakening is at such an advanced level? Just who are you, actually?”
“I am an Earthling who is about to kill another Emperor. And by the Gods, who will kill a hegemon in the coming weeks.” Elliot said icily.
He turned around and then disappeared from their sight.
Autumn and the two dragons stared at each other for a moment.
“Is he always so sour?” Autumn complained lightly to the two dragons.
“We have absolutely no idea.” Khellendra chucked. “We just met him earlier today.”
“We mutually need each other’s help.” Khalendros said vaguely. “Long story, it’s better if you don’t know.”
“I see.” Autumn said thoughtfully. She scrunched up her eyes and started to ponder on an idea that had sprouted in her mind.
“If they agree, it’ll make my mission so much easier to accomplish. I just have to offer them enough benefits, and they’ll probably agree. Hehehe, given their desperate situation, I doubt I need to offer them much before they jump for joy.” Autumn schemed in her heart.
“Well, I guess we’ll part here. You aren’t an Insert, so you can’t join us. It’ll be great if you are though.” Khellendra sighed.
“Wait. I’m not an insert, but I do need your help. What say you we form a temporary team?” Autumn asked them.
