Spending My Retirement In A Game

Chapter 335 - More Golems

Chapter 335 - More Golems

With a wry smile on his face, Eisen now stood in front of two more piles of steel, which amounted to about half the steel that they had left on the ship at the moment which wasn’t reserved for other projects or weapons yet, so Eisen might be cutting it a bit close in case there were some emergency projects that needed to be taken care of once they arrived at the islands tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, depending on how the weather was when they actually got close to the islands, but if they would really be able to find the amount of materials on the Golem-God’s Island as Eisen hoped they would, then that wouldn’t matter too much anyway.

And since the two extra golems would just be even more help toward reaching that goal, Eisen could continue with good conscience as well.

"Now, let’s start all over again, shall we..?" Eisen muttered to himself with a sigh, considering that he had hoped to be able to move on toward a different project, but in the end, this wasn’t all bad either.

Swiftly, Eisen started to get to work and threw some new steel ingots into his forge, and while they were heating up started to think about what element to best give them.

"For Ranger, that would be of course Wind... And according to what Sky told me, I should also give him Water as an element..." The old man quietly whispered before moving his fingers through his beard. "And for Croco, Darkness and Light, although not in a special-element way like for Supp, but rather just the regular wind and darkness elements seperately." Eisen thought to himself, and then nodded his head to himself, although he really wasn’t sure how easy it would be to find people with the light or dark elements on the ship. He hoped it would be rather easy, but he couldn’t really say for sure.

Either way, once the steel ingots started glowing in a bright yellow, Eisen grabbed them out of the forge and quickly got to work on creating the different parts for the two Golems’ bodies.

Croco’s body was really the size of a young child, and while it was still wearing armor, it had a similar robe design compared to Supp, although Croco had a pointed Witch’s hat on her ’Helmet’, and the sleeves of her robes covered her arms up to the tips of her hands.

Overall, the robes seemed just far too large for her body, but Eisen figured it wasn’t an Issue if that was the design for the Original Croco as well, which Evalia had apparently replicated one to one.

As for Ranger’s body, it was the one that seemed most in-human, although just through a single change in its body. Instead of one elbow per arm, he had two, which was probably the case to make it possible to draw the giant bow that he was carrying.

Although even then, that was only within the ’Combat Mode’ and the third section of the arm would pull back into the regular lower arm to make it look relatively normal, even if his forearms were relatively bulky due to that.

Other than that, the rest of Ranger’s body didn’t seem all that peculiar, and he once more looked just like a man wearing full-metal armor.

Eisen was actually really excited about making the bow and arrows for Ranger, because the bow in itself was already quite unique, not even considering the size of the weapon.

Beyond that, Eisen figured that he would need to come up with a proper method to increase the different senses for Ranger in particular, because it was necessary for him to be able to see the furthest and have the best hearing, at the very least in the old man’s opinion. Those two senses of his always seemed to be the most important to Eisen when he was hunting.

In order to come up with a good enhancement method, Eisen asked a few people, including Sky who was the one to request that Eisen would build the two other Golems sooner in the first place, to go around the ship and ask everyone on information on their elements, and then let Eisen know about any that might be useful when it came to elemental-infusion for the eyes, ears, or even nose of Ranger.

But until then, Eisen had to actually finish the rest of the body. If it had to be so, the ears, eyes and nose could be the last pieces that he would end up setting into the body, with the exception of the Golem core of course.

The next little while was spent with Eisen creating all of the metallic base parts that needed to be prepared, before then moving onto placing things like the soul generators, batteries, and so on into the chests of both of the two Golems as well as creating the three-dimensional enchantments in the joints that would keep the Bodies together in the first place. And as this part was a relatively long-winded work, even if it didn’t necessarily take much concentration on Eisen’s part, the old man could figure out a few smaller things while he was working on it, like what materials or methods to actually use while making the bow for Ranger and the special ’Staff’ for Croco, before beginning to prepare the materials that took a little longer to make compared to others that were just ready to use after minimal preparation already.

Once Eisen then finished the different Joints, he activated them all and made all of the different joints connect to each other while Eisen himself got to work on connecting everything with the help of Mana-Thread.

After everything was connected, Eisen then placed whatever he could already place into the head, into the head, which really just ended up being the brain as well as the ears, nose and tongue for Croco, because even this to-be Witch’s eyes didn’t have the necessary materials that Eisen wanted to use for the eyes. He had the gems, but he still didn’t enchant them with the specific elements yet. And even if the bonus it would give was miniscule, the old man wanted to wait for when he had that all, even if the eyes themselves were already finished, with the exception for Ranger’s eyes.

But it seemed like he could get to work relatively quickly, if he was lucky, as Sky, Kiron and Bree, the ones Eisen sent to ask around for everyone’s elements, as well as their general skill-build, soon returned with the information on everything the old man needed.

"Hmm... Telescope, Whisper, and Animalistic?" Eisen asked pretty surprised as he saw the names for those Element-Names, and Sky nodded his head with a smile. "Mhm, the Telescope is the Element of a Priest of the Goddess of the Night. He’s apparently a hobby-astronomer as well. Basically, it makes it possible to see very far into the distance or see very small things as well. The Animalistic Element belongs to a Beastperson we have on board, and he’s apparently pretty close to his animal-side, and he seems to have a pretty high-rank tamer-occupation as well, although I don’t know how he ended up homeless in the church... Anyway, that element lets him turn more animalistic, and can bring out animalistic parts in different things and people." The Fey-Kin explained with a wry smile before scratching his cheek, and Eisen nodded his head, although he was more curious about the last element that Sky didn’t explain yet.

"And what about the Whisper one?" He inquired, and Sky ended up just shrugging. "I don’t know why someone would have an element like that if they aren’t involved in sketchy business, so I feel pretty weird about this, but... The owner is a really boring, regular woman, and the element lets you hear the quietest whisper from across hundreds of meters." Sky explained, and Eisen nodded his head with a smile, before crossing his arms.

"Alright, can you bring these three to the Meeting-Room then? Just knock on the door three times and Sigurd will let me know about it." Eisen explained, positive that the Core Guardian heard Eisen say this as it was aware of everything going on within the Dungeon, and the two Fey-Kin siblings and the Half-Dragon nodded their heads before making their way out of the Dungeon again, and Eisen then got to work quickly setting everything up for the extra infusion-capsules, of which Eisen had a good few lined up within the Dungeon at the moment, and then about twenty minutes later, when the old man was just about finished preparing everything for the items he was going to make for the two new Golems, Sigurd appeared in front of Eisen in a cloud of mist.

"Seems like everyone’s in the Meeting Room, Eisen." The Core Guardian pointed out, and the old man nodded his head before grabbing different enchanting marbles, crystals, and gems, because it was necessary to transfer the enchantment from an enchanting marble over to another item as quickly as possible or else the marble would crumble soon.

And when Eisen stepped out of the Dungeon, he was soon met with the faces of three different people. One of them was a highly-transformed Beastperson, something that Eisen could only recognize from Jyuuk activating his ratial skill, even if this man’s transformation was even stronger than that and he looked basically like a bipedal wolf instead of a beastperson.

Then, there was a young Priest with deep black hair and glasses on his eyes standing next to him who Eisen had already spoken to a few times before.

The last of the three was a young woman with a seemingly bland exterior, although it was so bland that it seemed somewhat intentional.

"The three of you, thanks for coming here so quickly. I require a little bit of assistance with the creation of a Golem from you three, althought that would only amount toward me infusing your element into a few smaller materials. For example for eyes that can see further than any person’s, ears that can hear a fly flap its wings a mile away, and a nose better than that of any beast in existence." The old man chuckled, and the three people quite quickly agreed to helping out, and before he knew it, Eisen had all the materials that he needed.

The different sensory organs would probably be overkill for any of the other Golems though, otherwise he would have tried to do something like this beforehand for them, so he didn’t really need much, considering that he would be simply using the elements to create an infuser, even if he did ask the Priest with the ’Telescope’ element if Eisen could enchant a few more materials with it, because he really thought that it would be a great asset in general, especially after asking them all to try and demonstrate their ability.

Actually, the ’Whisper’ element seemed pretty useful too after that demonstration, because it seemed to also allow the user to have their voice carried somewhere in the far distance, so Eisen asked to enchant it onto a small Wind Gem, because the element somehow seemed to have derived from the Wind Element.

Either way, after a little while, Eisen had all of the materials that he needed and then quickly moved on toward other business, which came stepping through the door in the form of the next group of people that Eisen needed some help from, which was really just made up of two kids with the Light and Dark elements.

And once the old man enchanted some materials with their elements as well, the old man stepped back into the dungeon to finally get to work on finishing the last two golems. And after Eisen set the different infusers up and placed the elemental-mana generators into the chests of the two new Golems as well, Eisen sat down in front of different chunks of steel that would turn into a Giant Bow as well as a Metallic Broom.
