Spending My Retirement In A Game

Chapter 394 - The Half-Dragons

Chapter 394 - The Half-Dragons

"It’s true, they’re a lot weaker than before..." The Red Dragon added with a frown, and even Argonthur stepped forward confused, "Wait wait wait, but that before was the same eerily terrifying feeling that Eisen always gave off when he scolded us!" The Bronze Dragon replied.

"Hmm, you’re the best of us at sensing that kind of thing as well..." The Silver Dragoness turned Human added with a frown, and Eisen just slowly nodded his head in response to them all as he took a step forward with a laugh. "Well, it is indubitably us that you remember, it’s just that we don’t really remember you. We lost our Memories and our strength." Eisen explained, and he could notice Brody grumbling from behind him at dislike of Eisen incinuating their weakness, before the Dragons looked at them confused.

"You... What?" The Blue Dragon asked with a deep frown, before Eisen just chuckled. "As I said, we lost our Memories and our strength, but we’re on a good way toward gaining our strength back. Brody already reached Level 200 again." Eisen explained, but everyone was just still rather confused at what he was talking about, so the old man simple sighed and shook his head with a frown, turning toward Bree to ask her to give him one of the storage-boxes, which she swiftly did without hesitation, before Eisen just quickly took the Giant Crystal Scale out of it, pressing it into the ground as he did so.

Immediately, everyone that was there, beside the Dragons and Half-Dragons, looked at the scale with wonder in their eyes, as if they had just seen their god himself.

"Now then, I think this should be enough to show that we’re on your good side, shouldn’t it?" Eisen said with a broad grin, and immediately, the elderly man from before stepped up toward him, before also looking at Kiron once more.

"This is a Scale of the Great Trygan, is it not?" The Elder asked, slowly extending his hand toward it, and Eisen nodded his hand before pulling it away. It was an important item, so he didn’t want some random person to take it from him somehow.

"Yes, it is." Eisen replied, before the Elder audibly swallowed his Saliva. "Then... That means this is the son of Trygan?" He asked, looking toward a relatively embarrassed Kiron, before the Half-Dragon Paladin nodded his head immediately.

"Yes, he is!" He exclaimed, placing his hand on the Crystal Half-Dragon’s shoulder, "This Incredibly Strong Man right here is indeed Trygan’s son, and this man’s Grandson here! And by the way, I’m learning under him to be a Holy Knight." The Paladin said, obviously just trying to brag a little here, before the Elder extended his hand toward Eisen, seemingly too hesitant to do so for Kiron, before shaking the old man’s hand furiously.

"It is an Honor! Who would have expected we would be able to meet the the Holy Spouse’s Father!" The Elder exclaimed with a smile of glee on his face, although he seemingly misunderstood something here. All six of the Dragons behind the Elder seemed to want to clear that misunderstanding up but were too nervous to approach them, so the Elder soon had a chance to speak again, "Now it makes sense why the Lords treat you with such respect! Excuse my rudeness, I’m our Tribe’s Elder, Grunak." The Elderly man explained, and Eisen slowly nodded his head with a smile.

"Wonderful to meet you, Grunak. You can just call me Eisen. Well, I think we should get right to the point here, however. There are a lot of things I would like to do before the day is over, because at the very least I want to depart quite soon, so would you be able to show us to the Town Core?" Eisen asked, not even trying to fix the misconception that Grunak was under, which was something that none of the people that knew the truth missed.

"Grandfather, but-" Kiron started, however, Eisen just turned around and winked at him to interrupt him, "Don’t worry, I’ll tell them sooner or later. I feel like things will become a bit more troublesome if we let them know about the truth." The old man explained with a whisper, before turning toward the Dragons with a slight smile, as if to tell them not to resolve the misunderstanding either, and the Elder Grunak immediately nodded his head.

"Of course, of course! Make way, and prepare a feast for tonight!" The Elder exclaimed as he turned toward the Village, while Eisen once more spoke to his group. "Alright, Paladin, Kiron, you two come with us. The rest of you, please get a tour around the village to see what places need the most immediate work, alright? Oh, and Bree, can you give me the box with the Guardian?" Eisen asked, and the young Fey-Kin girl immediately nodded her head and turned toward Eisen with a smile. "Here you go~!" She exclaimed, and Eisen smiled at her and happly received the small box, before increasing his size back to the maximum he could, because he felt a bit more comfortable this way, and then stashed the box away inside of the front-pocket of his Apron.

This of course surprised the Villagers a fair bit, but for now, Eisen ignored that while the Elder led the group of seven, Eisen’s group, as well as the Dragons and their children, with the exception of the Half-Dragon Toddler, toward the largest building in the Village.

And while this was happening, the six Dragons were speaking amongst each other about what might be going on, while the three Half-Dragons bunched together as well, trying to pull the Half-Dragon Paladin toward them as well to speak about Kiron.

The Paladin didn’t really seem happy about what they were saying, but from what Eisen could tell, especially the more brutish Black Half-Dragon wanted to start a fight. Well, of course, Kiron currently seemed unarmed because Eisen created a small box for him as well to keep the sword in while outside of Combat, and without that sword, Kiron may not look all that intimidating to people that were raised by full-blooded Dragons.

It seemed like Kiron noticed what they were speaking about as well, so Eisen chose to take the initiative and quickly inspected all of the Half-Dragons. And it seemed like they were all Low-Level Rank 5, similar to the Paladin when they first met him. Kiron managed to beat him then, and since then Kiron recovered a fair bit of his strength as well, stat-wise putting him equivalent to a High-Level Rank 5 Monster.

Eisen was sure that Kiron could take care of all of them even at once, because Kiron’s strength seemed to truly shine when he was up against a lot of enemies and when he couldn’t spare even a moment for wasted or unnecessary movements.

Even Brody was pretty impressed with Kiron’s movement, of course Kiron never won against the Demon-Orc in a fight even once, but Brody was still impressed by him even then.

But it seemed like neither the Black Half-Dragon, nor the Red or Silver Half-Dragonesses seemed very impressed with his strength and wanted to show their ’superiority’ through combat, so Eisen figured they should use this all to recruit a few more Squires.

Eisen already spoke about this to the other Originals, and none of them seemed to really mind the idea that Eisen came up with then. It meant that the third slot for a Town connected to the Guild would be filled up by a Lord who wasn’t one of the five Originals, but everyone was fine with that, especially considering Kiron’s obvious connection to this Island.

But first, they needed to actually see the Town Core to confirm that it was the real deal. Although, as Expected, the Town Core was simply floating there directly underneath this comparatively Large Building’s ceiling. But considering Eisen’s maximum height, he could very easily grab it from there, and then looked at the Elder with a smile.

"We can activate this Town Core through our Guild, meaning that this Village will gain stronger Protection and faster progress." Eisen started, and the Elder immediately nodded his head with a gleeful expression, "Ah, I see! So you indeed have a ’Guild’? I don’t know how we can repay such a favor!" The elder exclaimed, but Eisen raised his eyebrows in response, glad for this perfect set-up to rile the Half-Dragon youths up a little.

"Well, it’s not really a favor. One of us will become the Lord of this town, and we will integrate an entity that can and will know everything happening here as well. Of course, as the Elder, you will still have Authority over your people, but using one of us, we can properly make sure that you get whatever ressources you need so that you can grow beyond your current state." Eisen explained, and while the Elder did seem a little hesitant all of a sudden, the Dragons didn’t seem to have that hesitation at all.

"Ah come on, just do it already, we know we don’t really have a choice here." The Red Dragon said with a sigh, making the Elder accept the decision happily as well, so Eisen just chuckled and nodded his head. "Yes, you don’t really. Sorry about that." Eisen told them, and just then, what Eisen wanted to happen did happen. The Half-Dragons picked a fight.

"What, who would allow some strangers to suddenly come and take control of this place?" The Red Half-Dragoness exclaimed, supported by the Black Half-Dragon, "Exactly, you can’t just do that!" He yelled out, and immediately the Black Dragoness and the Red Dragon turned toward their Children with terrified expressions, before trying to apologize to the Originals.

But Eisen was rather happy about this. "Oh, don’t worry, it’s fine. Well, you three appreciate strength over anything else, don’t you?" He asked, and the Black Half-Dragon immediately nodded.

"Of course we do. But you all said you’re barely level 200, so why should we trust in your strength?" He asked, and Eisen just chuckled and placed his hand onto his Grandson’s shoulder.

"Then how about we show you our strength. You three against my Grandson and his Squire." Eisen suggested, and immediately, Kiron and the Paladin looked at Eisen confused, before he just smiled at them with a reassuring nod.

And immediately, the Black Half-Dragon nodded his head. "Sure, as if we’d lose to some unarmed, pampered prince and a weak Priest?" He asked, and Eisen started to smirk as he looked over toward Brody, who was unsure whether or not these guys were complete idiots, or just actually as bad at reading their opponent as the Black Dragoness said before.

Either way, the Demon-Orc now also wanted to see them getting their asses kicked. And while the six Dragons and the Elder wanted to stop this all from happening, before they knew it, the group made their way to the central plaza were there was a lot of space to move around, and while the three Half-Dragon opponents went to get their weapons, the Paladin wanted to explain their fighting methods, although surprisingly enough, Brody took that step over as he looked at Kiron.

"The Silver one is a Mage, the Red one is an Archer, and the Black one probably fights with a heavy weapon similar to yours." The Demon-Orc explained, and the Paladin and the Dragons looked at him rather surprised, because he seemed to be completely correct.

"How did you know?" The Paladin asked, and Brody just sighed and shook his head. "What, are you an idiot? The Silver one is thin and unmuscular in any way, but she seems pretty dexterous. And Silver is a naturally magic material, so it makes sense for them to have a good exposition for Magic. The Red one has broad shoulders and strong legs, and from the muscle-groups that were most defined when she flexed her body up angrily just now were those that are most important in Archery. But judging from how quiet and quickly she walks, she’s probably more used to using Archery while moving. And for the last one... Well, he’s not necessarily defined anywhere, but he has the highest amount of raw muscle mass of all of them there. He seems pretty slow physically and, no offense, also mentally, so he’s just a brute. His lower arms are pretty thick, and his finger strength seems quite high as well... My Guess is that he fights with something dumb like a wooden log." Brody pointed out, and while the Black Dragoness was burying her face in her hands out of embarrassment, the three Half-Dragons approached again.

The Silver one with a Staff, the Red one with a Bow, and the Black one with a large, scratched up wooden log.
