Spending My Retirement In A Game

Chapter 510 Caravan

Chapter 510 Caravan

For now, Eisen created a number of these mock-spirits, using whatever different types of mana he could currently access. That meant of course the six basic types of mana, although he had to pay some people a little bit of money so that he could take their element to be able to create all six of the basic elemental types of mana. He could just go ahead and try to buy the crystalized mana somewhere, sure, but he would rather just be able to create it on his own rather than have to wait for ’Shipments’.

Either way, for now, Eisen just created that basic, one meter tall humanoid golem out of any element that he had so that he could figure out what kinds of uses they had. For now, he figured that he should wait and use whatever chances came up in the future to figure out what exactly he could use them for.

And since it would probably make it a lot easier, Eisen asked everyone to take care of this with their ’own’ golem. So, for example, Sky walked around with the ’Inkheart’ golem, Caria with the ’Mushroom Forest’ Golem, and Melissa with the ’Hive’ Golem. He even made sure that they were the ones to activate the golems in the first place, so that they would actually belong to them.

Although, it seemed like Melissa managed to figure out a use for her Mock-Spirit already. The mock-spirit basically looked completely like a figurine made of beeswax, the outside of its body covered in large hexagonal holes. And of course, it seemed like Melissa was able to make them crawl through those holes. Like with the bees that were currently in Melissa’s own body, the total volume of the bees far exceeded what the small body could have logically taken in. But, since Melissa’s element seemed to work like normal, the others figured it would be a good idea to try out to see if their mock-spirits worked like normal as well.

And before Eisen knew it, he could see the one-meter tall version of one of Sky’s Inkheart summons walking around the room, before the Fey-Kin excitedly turned over toward the old man, "This is great! I’m barely using mana to keep it up, and there doesn’t seem to be a direct time-limit on this either!" Sky explained, and Eisen raised his brows with a light smirk.

"Really?" He asked, "Got it... Then I think I have a pretty good idea for how I could improve on that body." The old man pointed out with a satisfied nod. If he just made it easier for that body to move, meaning that Eisen should add joints and the proper, detailed construction method that he came up with for other golems to it, as well as a couple of enchantments that enable it to both change its size and compress and de-compress its body at will, it should be possible for Sky to use this mock-spirit for most of his summons, at least those that were humanoid.

For Melissa’s, Eisen could probably just increase the surface area some more to give more places to access it, or make it more of a ’cluster’ of mock-spirits so that Mellisa could make ’specialized’ mock-spirits for different types. Maybe Eisen could even actually turn those spirits into bees that were supposed to mimick the way that the type of bee they were supposed to ’store’ looked.

And while Eisen was playing around with these ideas, the old man was informed of something else. Melissa walked over toward him and tugged on the leg of his pants to get Eisen’s attention, and when the old man looked down at her, she just smiled back and said, "They are close to town. The southern gate." Melissa explained, and with a broad smile that immediately grew on Eisen’s face, the old man nodded his head.

"Got it, thanks." He replied, and then grabbed the towel laying on the table next to him before wiping his hands and face down a bit and then looked over toward the others, "I’ll be back in an hour tops." The old man announced as he stepped out the door, "If you want to, try and figure out some good ways that you want me to change your mock-spirits in that time." Eisen suggested.

With a smile on his face, happy to see that everyone was finally arriving, Eisen made his way through the penthouse and headed toward the other side, toward the balcony where Komer was currently sitting while taking some notes and bathing in the sunlight.

By now, it’s been a good while since Eisen revealed what exactly was going on with this world, or rather that this was an actual world at all, and while Komer still didn’t feel perfeclty comfortable with that idea, he did grow used to it a lot more after he spoke to the other originals about it a little as well.

"Oh, taking a break?" Komer asked with a smile, and Eisen lightly chuckled and nodded his head, "I think you could say that. I’m going to go pick up everyone that came from Melroe and bringing them over for now. The next ship is just heading over there in another week, right?" The old man asked, and Komer slowly nodded his head.

"Yeah, the last one just left, and we only have two ships that go back and forth all the time at the moment. There just aren’t enough people that want to go there right now to justify buying more... Is that alright?" Komer inquired, and Eisen immediately nodded his head, "That’s fine, that’s fine. I wanted to work with everyone a little more anyway, so it’s perfect, actually." Eisen pointed out reassuredly, and then made his way over toward the edge of the balcony. That, however, made Komer frown a bit.

"Erm... what are you doing?" He asked, and as Eisen slowly activated his Draconic Demon transformation and grew in size while two large wings sprouted on his back, Komer already figured out what exactly he wanted to do, "Oh... that. Just try not to cause a ruckus? You kind of look like a monster like this, so..."

"Haha, I know, don’t worry. I’m just going to head outside of town immediately, so there shouldn’t be an issue." The old man pointed out, and then placed his foot on the railing at the edge of the balcony, before pushing his body over the edge and jumping forward.

Eisen flapped his wings and looked around the town from above. Immedaitely he chose to fly toward the right gate and flew past the town walls to see if he could spot anything around, and soon had some bees flying next to him that he quite quickly recognized. "Alright, then show the way." Eisen suggested, and the bees quietly buzzed before flying off, swiftly followed by this old man in the form of an airborne demon.

Eisen kept looking around in search for the group, although it really didn’t take all that long to find them, considering that they were travelling in a three-carriage caravan. And to be fair, since all five of the people that Eisen invited were travelling with their families, this scale did make sense for them.

But either way, since Eisen could see one of his buddies driving the carriage at the very front, the old man simply dropped down from high above toward them. Of course, he used his Yang form for that so that he could avoid startling the horses as well as the younger children that were travelling with them, since Jekyll had three daughters that were all younger than ten years old.

The old man started laughing loudly as he stood in front of the carriage-caravan that was starting to slow down, before Denmir looked at the figure with surprise, "Wh-What the-?" He exclaimed, "Eisen? That you?" The Dwarf yelled out, and the three-meter tall demon immediately nodded his head and approached them with a broad grin.

"You bet it is." He pointed out, slowly deactivating his transformation again, and Denmir just looked at him with a wry smile, "Oi, don’t startle me like that, ya hear? Yer demon form looks a lot different than it used ta!"

With a light chuckle, Eisen just approached Denmir and shook the dwarf’s hand as a greeting, "Sorry about that." He laughed, and inside of the carriage Eisen could see Denmir’s wife as well as his son and daughter, respectively 15 and 17, confusedly looking outside. Beside just those three, Morrom and Koro were also sitting in there, even if they weren’t quite as confused about seeing Eisen pop up all of a sudden.

"Hello there." Eisen smiled, and quickly went around the back, waved at Jekyll who was driving the second carriage real quick, and then went to greet the people inside of this carriage, especially the three belonging to Denmir since Eisen didn’t actually officially meet them before. He saw Denmir’s wife and son around the smithy a handful of times, but he never really spoke to them beside a quick greeting either.

"Nice to properly meet you three. My name is Eisen, and I’m going to be leading you through this town toward where you will be staying for the next week until the ship to bring you to the islands is ready." The old man explained to them, and Denmir’s wife slowly nodded her head and smiled back, although the two children were a bit more nervous.

They only really exchanged brief greetings, since Eisen didn’t want to hold everyone up too long, and then the old man made his way over toward the next two carriages to greet everyone in those as well, before Eisen just stepped up next to Denmir’s leading carriage again.

"Alright, let’s go." He suggested, and Denmir nodded his head before Eisen joined him on the front of the carriage. And so, Eisen just led this group toward the town’s closest gate, entered the town with them, and then led them through the town toward the mall and its employee entrance.

For situations just like this, there was of course also something like an indoor parking lot built under the building that they were able to place the carriages under, and there were of course also stableboys that could take care of the animals.

While everyone was just woundrously looking at everything around them as if this was just completely insane, Eisen led them up the long stairs toward the penthouse. With a smile on his face, Eisen just watched as especially the children were just looking around incredibly curiously and excitedly, and that excitement and curiosity grew just the more when Jyuuk casually came out of his room with some of his smaller animals and undead climbing all over his body to greet everyone.
