Chapter 366 – I can’t let the boss go bald! (1)
Huo Sishen had intended for Huo ChuChu to have a month off.
Evidently, though, this girl seemed to have given up on that idea and had been studying hard inside her big brother’s office building every day.
“I have dug out my textbooks recently!”
Huo ChuChu had a degree in business management.
From a prominent college overseas at that.
Nevertheless, she was too busy antagonizing with her family that she never paid good attention at school. It was entirely luck that she even passed her examinations.
“I am reviewing them from the very beginning.”
Her revolutionary determination allowed her to derive happiness from her own daily improvement.
In addition, someone cared about her, assigned her individual assignments, and pointed out her mistakes to her.
That was a new experience for her.
The Huo family had more than enough resources to hire her tutors. Nevertheless, she was rebellious back then and, after pulling a few stunts on her tutors, Mother Huo gave up.
There was only one reason behind all of Huo ChuChu’s behaviors – she wanted attention and she wanted her big brother to return home.
Unfortunately, her wish had never come true and she ended up having less and less attention.
Recently, she had been beaming.
She would go on and on and tell Gu Shishi the details of every little incident.
Gu Shishi chuckled as she replied to her. “You have mentioned Executive Assistant Meng at least 100 times within the last five minutes. Even I want to meet this legendary little fresh meat now.”
“No, I didn’t!”
Huo ChuChu’s breathing hastened.
“He just teaches me a lot is all.”
Mmm.
All she had been saying was, “Executive Assistant Meng said...”, “Executive Assistant Meng also said...”, “And then Executive Assistant Meng said...”
Gu Shishi decided to stop teasing her. Her other cellphone, the Ink Painting Guru one was blowing up with WeChat messages.
“I am going to lunch with your brother this weekend.”
“Let me send you the address.”
Huo ChuChu shrieked on the other side of the screen immediately. “YES!”
Gu Shishi finally picked up her other phone with a smile on her.
[You have been added to “Ink Painting Association” group.]
Gu Shishi was taken aback a little.
taken aback a little.
[Huang Chuan: Welcome @Ink Painting Guru]
[Huang Chuan sent a red pocket: Good luck and wealth for all.]
[Zheng Xing: Welcome, thank you, Boss, for the red pocket!]
[Juntian: Thank you, Wealthy Man of China.JPG]
[Grandpa Di: Thank you, President. Welcome to our newest member!]
[Taishan: That’s one big red pocket. Welcome to our newest member!]
[Huang Chuan: @Ink Painting Guru. This is a group for all ink painting enthusiasts with improving each other through knowledge exchange as our main purpose. We are a group of pro-active individuals who share our love for ink painting.]
[Huang Chuan: A soloist can walk fast, but a group can walk a farther distant. We sincerely invite you to join us and build a welcome home with us and encourage more to join us. Through that, you will no longer be alone or weak in your path of creation. We are a group that can help each other and, together, we can go further and be better.]
[Zheng Xing: Victory!]
[Juntian: Our president likes to drone on and on. You will get used to that!]
[Taishan: @Ink Painting Guru. What our president is trying to say is for you to send a red pocket so we can all improve together (grin)]
[Grandpa Di: I almost thought I have joined a propaganda group. @Ink Painting Guru, how are you doing, new member?]
[Huang Chuan: @juntian @taishan @Grandpa Di, you three must turn in two homework assignment for our exhibition next week.]
[Juntian: Are you trying to kill me??]
[Taishan: Are you trying to kill me??]
[Grandpa Di: Are you trying to kill me + 1!]
Gu Shishi, “... ... ... ...”
What was going on?
She searched through her head over and over again and finally recalled that the day she joined the exhibition at Grandma Chen’s place, there was someone who seemed to be the president of some sort of exchange group and had invited her to join.
She had only chatted with Huo ChuChu for a little while and this “association group” already had 99+ unread messages.
The boss had given Gu Shishi a new bad habit — whenever she saw a red pocket, she couldn’t help but to click on it.
And, as soon as she clicked on it, she was stuck.
She couldn’t possibly back out of there immediately.
