Splitting the Heavens

Chapter 1344: 1V3

Chapter 1344: 1V3

Within the crumbling Heavenly Lake Elysium in the eastern region of the Spirit Abundance World...

After Shang Xia retrieved the Elysium Boundary Marker, he suddenly realized that he couldn’t allow the Elysium to crumble! Even if he used his toes to think, he should know that he had already been surrounded by the True Immortals of the Spirit Abundance World.

He might be confident he would be able to escape even if they all rushed him at once, but he failed to factor in the destruction of the Elysium. Its destruction would definitely cause a massive spatial storm, and he wouldn’t be able to display his escape methods. If he forced it, it might produce the opposite results instead and put him at greater risk.

Realizing that he messed up, his Six Harmony Qi poured into the banner that was made from the piece of heavenly screen of the Spirit Abundance World and it quickly expanded, stabilizing the rapidly crumbling Elysium, buying him a few moments to break out and escape.

The next second, he smashed the tunnel leading in and out of the Elysium with his Stone Rod.

The Heavenly Lake Elysium was a secret region that was built into the body of the lake itself, and with the destruction of its opening, the lake started to rise rapidly. The surface of the water rose so much that it reached the top of the Five Links Ridge and caused massive destruction. Landslides and the like were caused by the sudden rapid rise of the heavenly lake, and so much of the mountain collapsed that the tallest peak of the eastern region of the Spirit Abundance World no longer existed! Along with its destruction, the Solitary Peak Heavenly Lake would soon be buried in history.

“Seal the Elysium and retain whatever of it we can!” Liu Tianyu’s voice rang through the air.

Compared to the others, the Heaven Embroidery Palace put a lot more effort into the Solitary Peak Heavenly Lake. Naturally, they didn’t wish for it to experience too much damage.

The True Immortals who gathered around the crumbling Heavenly Lake Elysium didn’t hesitate to follow True Immortal Liu’s instructions.

The next second, a ray of light burst out from within.

All 7 True Immortals made their move to stop the streak of light, but the Heavenly Lake Elysium behind it trembled violently as cracks started to form in the void.

A strange laughter came from the streak of light and rang in the minds of those present. “Hehe! Are you going to try to stop your granddaddy here, or are you going to protect the Elysium?”

Actually, it wasn’t a difficult choice to make. However, the True Immortals who arrived hesitated slightly and the hesitation destroyed their perfect coordination with each other.

Concealing its presence entirely, Shang Xia was waiting for the opening where they hesitated slightly. His Six Harmony Teleportation Talisman was successfully activated while they were still thinking to stop him or to prevent the complete collapse of the Heavenly Lake Elysium, and he disappeared into a spatial vortex that swallowed him up from behind.

“Didn’t we already seal off the space in the surroundings?!”

“No shit! Clearly, it didn’t work!”

“That person activated a talisman earlier...”

The True Immortals of the Spirit Abundance World who were present communicated with each other in an instant with their divine souls, and there was no other choice they could make. They could only protect whatever was left of the Heavenly Lake Elysium.

All 7 True Immortals quickly approached the Heavenly Lake Elysium as they carefully controlled the space around it.

Extending their divine souls through the broken entrance of the Elysium, the True Immortals could tell that even though the interior had been damaged and many places had spatial folds that would continue to cause destruction, the general shape of the Elysium was preserved pretty well!

“We need to control the space within the Heavenly Lake Elysium first! No matter what happens inside, we need to ensure it remains intact for now. True Immortal Cang and True Immortal Xiong can take care of him! They’re fifth tier True Immortals after all...” Liu Tianyu took charge of the situation again after seeing how unsure everyone was.

Right as the words left her lips, the third tier True Immortals present gasped as the void above the Heavenly Lake Elysium started to crumble. The shattered space caused a powerful spatial vortex to form and it quickly grew to a terrifying size. It also destroyed everything in its path.

All 3 high-level True Immortals present wanted to stop it as soon as it happened, but its explosive might was too strong. The actual collapse of an Elysium forced the 7 True Immortals away and even the Five Links Ridge it was located on wasn’t spared from the damage. It was leveled by the horrifyingly powerful spatial storms that were swept up, and the Solitary Peak Heavenly Lake that lasted for close to 1,000 years ceased to exist.

That wasn’t all. Along with the fall of Five Links Ridge, the water of the heavenly lake that had expanded to great proportions had nowhere to go and started to fall down the giant mountain that it once stood on.

Fortunately, the giant lake didn’t fall as 1 complete giant ball of water. The rapidly expanding spatial vortex caused it to fly everywhere, preventing it from smashing into the ground and causing widespread damage. In the end, it turned into rain that fell on a larger part of the continent.

As the spatial vortex continued to expand, even the giant mountain beneath it would be unable to avoid being affected.

Also... When the spatial vortex reached its limit and exploded, the spatial fluctuations it produced might even sweep away a small portion of the Heavenly Lake Continent!

That was the damage the destruction of an Elysium could cause.

They were fortunate all 7 True Immortals who retreated at the initial destruction of the Elysium wouldn’t sit by idly and watch as everything happened. After ensuring their safety, they quickly spread out 1,000 miles around the spatial vortex and started to suppress it and reduce its impact.

They couldn’t even be bothered by the expert who escaped earlier.

No matter what, they were still in the Spirit Abundance World. There were 2 fifth tier True Immortals above the heavenly screen and destroying an Elysium was a massive sin. It would stump the growth of the world and there was no way the fifth tier True Immortals would allow him to escape unscathed. There should be nothing more they wanted to do than to tear him apart.

Well... Shang Xia did indeed run into a problem when escaping. He was afraid that he would be unable to escape from the Heavenly Lake Elysium if he activated it inside as he needed to pass through multiple layers of spatial barriers along with the obstruction of many True Immortals. That was why he rushed out and took the risk of running into the other True Immortals before activating it.

He didn’t think that he would appear outside the heavenly screen of the Spirit Abundance World after he activated it. It might be because of the intense interference caused by the grand formation around the Solitary Peak Heavenly Lake that he was unable to appear in the distant space around the Spirit Abundance World.

The moment he tumbled out from the void, the high-level True Immortals of the Spirit Abundance World detected him immediately. Even the attention of those from the other worlds and the Star Origin Dao Field locked onto him.

Fortunately, he already changed his aura and appearance, and he held the banner made from the piece of heavenly screen of the Spirit Abundance World. He waved it slightly and stopped any divine soul from inspecting him, and no one was able to tell his identity.

True Immortal Xiong Hu turned to stare at him and turned into a majestic swan that tore through the void. The distance of hundreds of thousands of miles was crossed in the blink of an eye as he appeared behind Shang Xia.

Behind him, a fourth tier True Immortal and 2 third tier True Immortal also rushed after Shang Xia.

Shang Xia didn’t hesitate to escape.

Above the heavenly screen of the Spirit Abundance World, True Immortal Cang Xuangao continued to face the True Immortals of the other worlds and Star Origin Dao Field, preventing them from taking advantage of the situation.

As Shang Xia made his escape, several True Immortals from the various worlds decided to go join in the fun. Even a fifth tier True Immortal of the Star Origin Dao Field left to chase after the mysterious expert as they wanted to know when a mysterious fifth tier True Immortal like that appeared in their Heaven Observation Field.

That was right. Rather than getting to the bottom of what the mysterious expert was trying to do, they were more interested in his identity!

After all... There were only so few fifth tier True Immortals in the Heaven Observation Field.

As Xiong Hu crossed another large distance with his special movement technique, he tossed out a drum that had a purple drumhead and slammed a mallet that was as thick as an arm into it.

Even though Shang Xia was thousands of miles away, he felt his heart thumping violently. He thought that Xiong Hu used some sort of strange attack, but other than some slight disturbance to his divine soul, he felt nothing strange.

However... He soon understood Xiong Hu’s true goal.

The dull drumbeat spread across thousands of miles and caused the void to be stirred up.

Along with rhythmic thumps coming from behind him, Shang Xia could feel the void around churning slightly. It formed some sort of special seal to prevent anyone from using a spatial movement art.

With a flick of his wrist, Shang Xia revealed yet another Six Harmony Teleportation Talisman. However, he could see that the talisman was starting to crease slightly along with the thumping that came from behind.

The strange spatial seal didn’t just disturb the space around him. It even affected all sports of talismans and tools that could be used to pass through the void!

Ordinary methods to seal space didn’t have much effect against the Six Harmony Teleportation Talisman. The only thing it could cause was a reduction of how far he could travel. For example, a heavenly screen or the spatial barrier around an Elysium... Or even a grand formation would affect how far he could travel.

It was the first time Shang Xia’s escape methods were restrained because of a strange artifact.

It seemed as though the Six Harmony Teleportation Talisman that had been modified and improved upon wasn’t exactly invincible.

Shang Xia might not have been able to escape from them instantly, but he continued to make his way into the depths of space.

The drumbeats behind him started to grow in intensity and it beat faster and faster, and it eventually reached the same frequency as his heartbeat. He discovered that it was slightly affecting the flow of his inner qi.

With a cold snort, Shang Xia’s aura started to expand as his Six Direction Qi circulated around his body once and everything quickly returned to normal. Even his flying speed increased by 30 percent.

Seeing that his skills were useless against the fleeing True Immortal, the drumbeats started to thump with another rhythm. Every beat was powerful and contained a portion of his inner qi. The void all around started to resonate with it, and this time, it didn’t just prevent him from escaping through the void. The sound waves started to turn into spatial restriction rings that gathered around Shang Xia.

With a frown forming on his face, Shang Xia had many methods that he could use to shatter those bindings. However, the moment he unleashed any one of them, his identity would be revealed. He wasn’t willing to expose his identity at the moment to prevent the Star Origin Dao Field, Spirit Mammoth World, and Spirit Abundance World from intentionally targeting the Spirit Luxuriant World after learning of his strength.

Tossing a treasure out from his sleeves, a giant Stone Pagoda appeared in the void. He might not be familiar when using the treasure, but with the experience of wielding the Solitary Peak Heavenly Lake’s Heaven Supporting Jade Pillar, using one that took on another shape didn’t prove impossible.

He accelerated once again, and behind him, the True Immortals of the Spirit Abundance World gasped, “That... That’s the Solitary Peak Heavenly Lake’s Heaven Supporting Jade Pillar!”

Shang Xia naturally didn’t give 2 shits about the person who yelled. Instead, he shattered the bindings created by Xiong Hu and continued to flee.

As he made his way further away, a fourth tier True Immortal suddenly closed in on him and tore through the void with a single slash. His sword qi was like a peacock spreading its tail as it fanned towards Shang Xia with the intention of trapping him completely.

Such a flashy sword technique belonged to only a single person in the Spirit Abundance World and Shang Xia didn’t even need to see who was attacking him before realizing it was Hua Jianlou.

Also... It went without saying that Hua Jianlou wasn’t stupid enough to challenge a fifth tier True Immortal on his own. His intention was to stall the person fleeing and that was it.

It wasn’t easy to stop a fifth tier True Immortal, but it wasn’t as though Hua Jianlou felt that he didn’t have a chance.

It was then that the fleeing fifth tier True Immortal seemed to notice that he would probably be surrounded if he continued at his current pace and with Hua Jianlou’s sword qi filling the void around him, rays of light emerged from his palm and enveloped him completely. The void behind him transformed before anyone could react, and it was as though the entire region was covered in a massive cloud that was shining with different colors.

Hua Jianlou’s sword qi landed, but it didn’t seem to do any damage as it simply passed through the cloud.

An attack from a True Immortal whose offensive abilities were known by all was easily dealt with... It was an attack even fifth tier True Immortals wouldn’t dare to take head on, and everyone wondered what they were looking at.

Even a rank six talisman shouldn’t be able to take on Hua Jianlou’s sword qi so easily.

Could it be... Is it a rank seven talisman?!

The True Immortals who were racing behind them fell into a state of contemplation as they wondered what they were looking at.

Shang Xia, who activated the Myriad Tinted Cloud Talisman, started to pull further away from the experts chasing him.

Not only could the Myriad Tinted Cloud Talisman defend him, but it also possessed evasive capabilities.

True Immortal Hu slammed the mallet heavily into the drum he brought out once again.

Dong...

A dull blast rang through the void as the cloud that formed after the activation of the talisman seemed to receive a heavy blow and cave in slightly.

Even so... It didn’t shatter or dissipate, and the person flying through it became even quicker as the ‘dent’ created by the drumbeat recovered.

Powerful rays of light burst forth into the void after Xiong Hu made his move, and the weaker experts suddenly closed their eyes.

It seemed as though True Immortal Xuan Bo of the Spirit Mammoth World also made his move!

Facing a fifth tier True Immortal they knew nothing about, the Spirit Mammoth World decided not to let such an unknown variable run around unchecked. They decided to work with Xiong Hu to stop the fleeing expert, or at least uncover his identity.

The intense rays of light pierced through the void and shot into the protective layer that the cloud had formed.

It was as though another sun was formed as the intense rays of light caused the void to be twisted. True Immortals who were still flying over to join in the fun quickly retreated for fear of being caught up in it.

However, they weren’t done. With Xuan Bo making his move, Pei Lu also took action.

Unlike Xiong Hu and Xuan Bo’s flashy techniques, Pei Lu’s attack gave everyone the impression that the void had overturned and everything they were looking at was being destroyed.

Those fourth or third tier True Immortals further away who were still trying to approach the battlefield, stopped immediately as they didn’t dare to go any closer.

With the attacks of 3 super powerhouses who were fifth tier True Immortals, no one would think that the fleeing expert would be able to remain unscathed.

All of them were anticipating the moment the mysterious expert would be forced to stop and reveal his true identity.

With the attacks of 3 fifth tier True Immortals slamming into the cloud, the region thousands of miles across had long since turned into a region of chaos. No one had any capability of interfering and peering within.

By the time everything returned to its original calm, an impressive number of True Immortals had already gathered. They couldn’t wait to see the aftermath, but to their surprise, they saw the multi-colored cloud shining in the distance.

Everyone sucked in a cold breath the moment they saw that the effects of the talisman were still active and they seemed to have thought of something as they turned to look at the fifth tier True Immortals in unison.

Suddenly, the cloud burst into countless pieces and faint spatial fluctuations traveled over to affect the rest. Whatever it was, no trace of its presence else was left in the void.

“Could it really be a rank seven talisman?!” Xiong Hu mumbled to himself.

“The outsider is definitely not someone from our Heaven Observation Field...” Xuan Bo sounded extremely confident in his deduction.

“Did the Star Curtain already disappear such that high-level True Immortals of other worlds outside can enter as they wish?” Pei Lu’s sudden question caused everyone’s heart to thump in fear of the answer.
