Chapter 317: Celestial Disruption (cont)
“We… We might be relatives!” Li TIanshou roared as his surroundings turned a dark red and spots of flickering light swam around him.
As soon as the words left his lips, the crimson tide around him disappeared and those spots of light started to extinguish themselves. Even so, Li Tianshou didn’t feel relieved in the slightest. Instead, he became even more nervous.
That was because he felt the icy cold tip of a spear pressing against the left side of his face. Beads of perspiration dripped down his forehead.
No one knew when, but Shang Xia stabbed a hole through Li Tianshou’s earlobe. Li Tianshou’s divine sense had been widely disrupted before he knew what was happening.
“Relatives? Interesting.” Shang Xia’s voice rang in Li Tianshou’s mind. He didn’t bother hiding the tone of mockery in his voice.
Li TIanshou’s forehead was filled with beads of perspiration at that point. He knew that the next thing he said would decide his life and death.
“It’s true!” Li Tianshou’s voice was slightly off, but he quickly added, “My cousin is your Ninth Aunt!”
“Ninth Aunt?” Shang Xia was shocked. He clearly didn’t expect Li Tianshou’s revelation.
Shang Xia knew that his Ninth Uncle, Shang Yang, got married in the Ji Continent. However, he didn’t know her name.
At least he learned where Li Tianshou’s knowledge of his Shang Clan Spear Art came from…
Shang Xia wondered if Shang Yang revealed too much about the Providence Spear to his wife, allowing Li Tianshou to learn it from her…
.
Thinking about it in a more sinister way, Shang Xia wondered if Shang Yang’s wife and her family were using Shang Yang as a way to plot against the Shang Clan of the You Continent…
Thinking about all the possibilities, Shang Xia’s gaze landed on Li Tianshou and he growled, “Where’s my Ninth Aunt now? Is she in the Changfeng City?!”
“Yes! I followed her down here from the Ji Continent. Your ninth uncle had been pestering her to quickly head towards the Tongyou City, but I interfered and kept her here.” Li Tianshou explained.
Shang Xia couldn’t help but sheer, “You seem to be finding an excuse for my Ninth Aunt now. What’s the matter? Do you think I’m suspecting her?”
“Yes. You will definitely think that she’s up to something once you learned that we’re related. However, this has nothing to do with my cousin!” Li Tianshou admitted quickly.
In response, Shang Xia nearly burst out laughing. “Why do you sound like you’re expecting your White Deer Paradise’s scheme to fail?”
“Regardless of whether we succeed or not, it doesn’t matter. At the very least, you’re strong enough to take revenge on my Li Family…” Li Tianshou sighed. After a short pause, he continued, “This is a battle between two monsters. The White Deer Paradise and the Tongyou Institution are behemoths. You and I are nothing but mere pawns. We have no choice but to do the things we did, what’s the point of stepping onto the path of vengeance?”
Raising a single eyebrow, Shang Xia muttered, “Everything you just said isn’t enough for me to spare your life yet.”
“What price do I have to pay?”
With a look of ridicule, Shang Xia chortled, “You’re a direct disciple of the White Deer Paradise. You should have a rank four advancement formula on you, right?”
A bitter smile appeared on Li Tianshou’s face. “How is that possible? Even direct disciples can only obtain advancement medicine from the White Deer Paradise. They will never give me an entire formula.”
“What about a ray of extermination origin? Or do you know where a strand of ownerless extermination origin lies?” Shang Xia continued.
Pointing to the ground, Li Tianshou snorted, “There’s one.”
Stabbing forward slightly, Shang Xia tore another wound on Li Tianshou’s earlobes. However, no blood emerged.
“Shit. He’s up to something!” Shang Xia’s expression changed slightly and he tore a hole through Li Tianshou’s head. It exploded and revealed a wooden block that fell to the ground.
Close to ten feet away from Shang Xia, Li Tianshou’s sorry figure crawled to his feet as he stared at Shang Xia in fright. There was a look of unmistakable fury in his eyes as he made his escape.
“Do you really think that you can escape?” Shang Xia snorted before racing towards Li Tianshou.
Who would have thought that Li Tianshou would turn around all of a sudden to unleash a ferocious counter attack against Shang Xia.
“Asshole, do you think that I’m really afraid of you?!” Li Tianshou roared as a blurry sword appeared in his hand.
“Mother fucker, I’m still a direct disciple of the White Deer Holy Land. You barely completed your third divine sense transformation earlier. What makes you so cocky to think that you can kill me? I even lowered my head and begged for my life earlier. Heh, do you think that you can bully me however you want?”
Li Tianshou tossed out a scroll and a multitude of sword lights filled the skies. Li Tianshou’s figure turned blurry and his voice echoed through the air, making it difficult to discern where it came from.
Shang Xia didn’t seem flustered in the slightest. Even though the sword light in the air had the ability to kill other Martial Intent Realm experts with a single touch, Shang Xia wasn’t afraid. He stabbed his Scarlet Star Spear in a certain direction and yelled, “Break!”
The void around him seemed to shatter and the sound of tearing could be heard. The sword light in the air became flaccid as they fell to the ground powerlessly. Shang Xia’s spear stabbed through the scroll, rendering it powerless. However, Li Tianshou appeared behind Shang Xia and screamed, “Go to hell!”
His sword stabbed straight at Shang Xia’s back.
Watching how Li Tianshou’s sword arrived an inch behind Shang Xia, a long sword appeared to stop him.
“You…” Seeing as his sneak attack failed, Li Tianshou turned to flee.
Unfortunately for him, Shang Xia was faster. With his figure blurring, Shang Xia appeared in Li Tianshou’s way.
“Since you learned so many secrets about my Shang Clan from my Ninth Aunt, did she never tell you that I’m talented in the way of the sword?”
Shang Xia replaced the Scarlet Star Spear in his hand with his Jade River Sword after breaking the effects of the scroll. Staying close to Li Tianshou, the two of them exchanged close to a hundred blows in a short amount of time. The flurry of sword lights they produced formed a sturdy net that surrounded them.
If anyone could see them, they would notice a ball of sword light tearing through everything in its path as it made its way across the mountain range.
A loud screech came from the sphere of sword light, forcing the two of them apart. Li Tianshou and Shang Xia’s figures were revealed, and they stood ten feet away from each other. Neither one of them moved.
“What technique is that?” Li Tianshou eventually broke the silence with a soft growl.
“Seven Laceration Sword.” Shang Xia replied.
Li Tianshou’s face twisted in agony. “Is that… Is that your martial extremity intent?”
Hesitating for some time, Shang Xia eventually replied. “I would like to call it my yin yang intent…”
Nodding slowly, Li Tianshou opened his mouth as if he wanted to say something else. However, his body swayed slightly and crashed into the ground before any words could leave his lips.
