Chapter 338: Third Sister Hai

Chapter 338: Third Sister Hai

Chapter 338: Third Sister Hai

In the western region of the Changfeng City…

The corpse of a twenty year old youth fell to the ground at the end of a semi-destroyed street. His face was slightly greenish in color and it was clear that he had been poisoned.

Not too far away from the youth was Sixth Sister Gu. She was trembling as the person got closer and closer to her.

Seeing her frightened expression, a trace of reluctance could be seen in Second Brother Liu’s eyes as he muttered softly, “Sixth sister, you can’t blame me for being too cold-hearted! The Martial Dipper Realm ancestor of the White Deer Paradise will be personally taking charge of the battle. The institution is finished! All of us have been abandoned by the institution to begin with and we’re just searching for ways to live…”

Sixth Sister Gu, whose inner qi was evidently exhausted, could only shed tears of despair. “Second Brother, don’t kill me! I don’t wish to die…”

Second Brother Liu seemed to have sensed a familiar and threatening aura quickly closing in, and a slight chill filled his heart. Killing intent filled his heart and a sharp sword flew out from his sleeves like a snake as it went straight for Sixth Sister Gu’s throat.

“Second Brother Liu, you dare?!” A sharp yell came from the distance and following the cry, several walls in the distance blew up. The shattered rocks flew towards Second Brother Liu who was about to take Sixth Sister Gu’s life.

With his expression changing, he no longer bothered dealing with Sixth Sister Gu. He retreated hastily and the sword in his hand danced about in front of him to deflect the debris that was flying at him.

As dust filled the air, a seven-foot-long spear tore through the dusty air. Due to the energy fluctuations coming from the spear, the air was quickly cleared.

Killing intent swept over Second Brother Liu and a trace of panic flashed in his eyes. He wanted to dodge the spear that was coming at him, but it seemed to have locked onto his aura. There was nowhere he could go!

As the second in charge of the one glorious Eighteen Horsemen of the You Continent, Second Brother Liu didn’t lack fighting spirit. He had been through countless dangerous situations and putting his life on the line was a common occurrence.

Since there was no way to avoid it, he would just go all out.

Crazily circulating his inner qi, he unleashed the strongest move he had since he started cultivating!

A look of excitement appeared on his face as he seemed to have reached the next stage of his cultivation thanks to the sudden stimulation!

However, the look of excitement quickly froze on his face. A spear that was even longer than Shang Xia’s Scarlet Star Spear broke through his defenses and skewered him mercilessly to the ground.

When the dust settled, a familiar figure appeared in his sights.

“Cough… Cough…” Staring at her without blinking, he couldn’t be bothered with the blood that was streaming out of his body. He gasped in shock, “Third… Third Sister! How are you here? How can you use the spear?”

Third Sister Hai stared at Second Brother Liu without a trace of emotions in her eyes. “Second Brother, you should be the person who revealed my tracks to the Changfeng City, right?”

“I… I… I only wanted to leave a route of retreat for the rest of us!” A bitter smile emerged on Second Brother Liu’s face.

Nodding expressionlessly, Third Sister Hai continued, “Everyone deserves to fight for their right to live. It’s too bad you shouldn’t have plotted against your fellow comrades!”

On his last breath, Second Brother Liu’s eyes bulged out from their sockets and he eventually forced out his last words. “Third Sister, who… Who exactly are you?”

“My true family name is Shang!” ‘Third Sister Hai’ sighed before giving him an explanation.

“So, that’s it… No wonder…” Before he could complete his sentence, his head tilted to the side and his eyes lost focus.

“Third… Third sister?” A voice containing a trace of fear and relief came from Sixth Sister Gu who was leaning against the rubble at the side.

A soft sigh left Third Sister Hai’s lips but she didn’t turn around to look at Sixth Sister Gu. Instead, she looked straight and addressed the person hiding in the shadows, “Boss Sha?”

“Out of the eighteen of us, I might seem to be the oldest and strongest. However, the Eighteen Horsemen existed twenty years ago. It was thirteen years ago when I joined due to my sins in the institution. You were already Third Sister Hai when I joined and even though no one knew your true identity as someone from the Shang Clan, your authority should already be higher than mine. In fact, if we talk about experience and strength, you should be our leader!” Boss Sha nodded slightly before he muttered.

Smiling softly, she raised an eyebrow in surprise. “Why are you bringing this up now?”

“Please spare my life! All of us have been through life and death together. I hope you can leave me a way out. In the future, there will no longer be Boss Sha and he will no longer exist in this world! The old Boss Sha is already dead!”

The corners of Third Sister Hai’s lips curled upwards in a mocking smile before turning to glance in the air above the City Lord Manor. “What’s this? Boss Sha wishes to hide your identity and go into hiding? Do you have so little confidence in the White Deer Paradise?”

Remaining silent for some time, Boss Sha eventually broke the silence. “I hope Third Sister can spare my life.”

“Am I supposed to silence Sixth Sister in order to keep this secret for you?” Third Sister Hai sneered softly.

A deafening ring filled the skies above the You Continent all of a sudden, catching everyone off guard.

Boss Sha’s face changed and he no longer cared about Third Sister Hai. He turned to run.

“Go look for Fifth Brother Cen and gather with the others!” Third Sister Hai muttered before leaving to chase Boss Sha.

In the skies above the City Lord Manor. Youshang spat out a mouthful of blood in shock when he saw Gao Yun’s body falling from the skies. A bitter smile eventually appeared on his face. “This brat…”

After throwing his spear, Shang Xia’s figure was frozen completely. He maintained his stance after throwing his spear at Gao Yun, and it wasn’t that he didn’t wish to recover. At that moment, his inner qi was completely exhausted.

He released his ninth move, Pierced Sun!

The power contained in the spear was terrifying, it was powerful enough to kill a Martial Extermination Realm expert!

The moment he threw out the spear earlier, he staked everything on it. He poured all his energy into it and it had to succeed.

If it didn’t he would lose his weapon and waste all his energy! When that happened, anyone would be able to kill him!

Evidently, he wouldn’t be able to use Piercing Sun whenever he liked!

Of course, that was the first time he was utilizing the move. After some refinement in the future, he might find a better way to execute it. There might be more changes in the future!

After recovering slightly, Shang Xia managed to lower his hand and circulate his inner qi according to the Triple Providence Chapter. The amount of Origin True Qi in his body eventually recovered to a point he could move about freely again.

When he was done, Shang Xia discovered what he achieved. He came up with the legendary ninth move of the Providence Spear Art that was only rumored to exist! Even in his current state, Shang Xia could tell that his cultivation had reached a white new state!

It wasn’t exactly the large completion stage of the Martial Intent Realm, but Shang Xia couldn’t put his finger on it. Only when he fully recovered would he be able to look into the actual changes. He had a feeling that after his inner qi recovered, he would be a single paper-thin window away from entering the large completion stage of the Martial Intent Realm.

When he was recovering slowly, Youshang went over to Gao Yun’s corpse and retrieved the Scarlet Star Spear for him. At the same time, he went to gather everything else.

After returning to see that Shang Xia was meditating peacefully, he shook his head and laughed before putting the Scarlet Star Spear by his side. He then returned silently to the City Lord Manor to pick up whatever was of use there.

Since the battle ended earlier, there were many cultivators who went towards the City Lord Manor in an attempt to loot it. However, they made their way out the moment they felt Youshang’s Martial Extermination Realm aura coming from within.

The silence around Shang Xia didn’t last for long. Right after he recovered another tiny bit of Origin True Qi, he was awakened by a voice.

“Hey! This old man came late. However, it looks like you guys managed to deal with everything here.” A short sword came from the rose-colored bridge above as Kou Chongxue’s voice rang in his ears. Only the sword was present, and Kou Chongxue’s voice was coming from inside the sword.

Getting to his feet, Shang Xia exclaimed, “Disciple greets Patriarch Kou!”

Youshang appeared at an unknown time, and he cupped his fists together half-heartedly before laughing in an unruly manner, “I heard that a certain patriarch had always been lamenting the fact that he has to work hard all the time. Hah! Aren’t you just scolding everyone else subtly by saying that they’re of no help to you? We dealt with everything here so that we won’t have to hear your nagging when you come.”

A chuckle came from the sword all of a sudden. “Hehe, you’re pretty sharp! Looks like there’s hope for you yet.”

Sniggering softly, Youshang muttered, “Hurry up and tell us what you need so that we don’t have to guess your intentions!”

The Hidden Frost Sword emitted a low buzz, seemingly apologetic about Youshang’s accusation before the reply came. “We have to respond in kind! Since they had the guts to come to us, I’ll head over to the Ji Continent right now! Did you find any diagram about the underground river or route leading to the Ji Continent?”

Youshang seemed to have been prepared for his questioning and he quickly tossed out a small case. “This is the belongings of the White Deer Paradise’s formation master. Everything you might need should be in there.”

The Hidden Frost Sword shook slightly in the air and Shang Xia didn’t discover any abnormality but the case was split in two. Everything inside rained down on the ground below.

Shang Xia didn’t notice when the artifact was cut, but everything inside was perfectly preserved!

“That’s it.” A weird scroll that was made from an unknown material rose into the air and Shang Xia barely caught sight of what it was. It seemed to contain some intricately drawn lines within, but it was quickly whisked away.

“Stay here and guard this place! I’ll head over to the Ji Continent now!”

As soon as his voice disappeared, the Hidden Frost Sword turned to fly away. However, it was stopped by a yell from Youshang. “Hold it!”
