Chapter 573: Zhui Fengzi and Chen Yuanzi

Actually, Shang Xia was taking a huge risk to do what he did.

After he gained a stroke of inspiration to attack the Northern Sea Island from underneath, he flew further and further into space until he was tens of miles below.

Realizing that time wasn’t on his side, Shang Xia knew that he had to make his move as quickly as possible in case he missed the chance to affect the island.

He wasn’t actually confident he could carry out what he was thinking of anyway, but since things were already at that point, there was no point in giving up. He couldn’t back out any longer and decided to give it a shot.

Raising his head, Shang Xia could see countless tiny fragments of land floating above him. They bumped into each other endlessly.

There were many pieces floating about in space as the Northern Sea Island cleared a path for themselves, and with the experience of pushing away a landmass hundreds of miles wide, Shang Xia had an idea. Using both hands, he created 2 giant palms in space and pushed them against each other before raising them high above his head.

Smaller fragments of land started to rise and gather between the two palms. It didn’t take long for him to gather all the fragments around him to form a huge cluster that was hundreds of miles wide.

Slowly pushing upwards, even more fragments were gathered together. However, that also meant that Shang Xia would have to endure a lot of pressure while pushing the cluster. The inner qi in his dantian gushed out like water out a dam and he easily discovered his consumption of inner qi.

Since things had already progressed up to that point, Shang Xia didn’t intend to give up halfway. Forcefully withstanding the consumption and pressure, he forged on.

It didn’t take long for the cluster of fragments to start rising in the direction of the Northern Sea Island. Shang Xia stared at it in amazement as he admired the huge cluster that was created from hundreds of smaller fragments. There were several pieces that were tens of miles wide in it, but Shang Xia knew that he merely bundled all of them up with his Four Constellation Palm. The cluster was far from comparable to a solid giant fragment that was dozens of miles wide, and it was far less terrifying.

Even so, if anyone under the Martial Dipper Realm were to witness what Shang Xia did, they would be tongue-tied by his achievements and strength.

Pushing the palms in space higher and higher, the number of fragments that gathered together continued to increase. Eventually, they started to grind against each other to create a somewhat crumbly and defective island that was dozens of miles wide.

Because of the way Shang Xia ‘created’ the large island, there was no way for anyone to detect it as they would have noticed something so large while surveying the area. Liu Qinglan and Ren Bainian gave him a great distraction and by the time the 2 grand completion stage Martial Extermination Realm experts discovered that something was wrong, the giant continent had already arrived. They could only watch as it rose to block their path.

After slamming into it, their Northern Sea Island tilted dangerously forward and it nearly tipped over.

By the time he was done, Shang Xia felt that he only had a tiny trace of extermination qi left in his dantian. He finally experienced what true exhaustion was. Even with his strong foundations, Shang Xia was nearly completely drained of inner qi.

With his final shred of inner qi, Shang Xia turned to leave. He used the cover of whatever fragments were left floating around to hide his tracks. He started to distance himself from the Northern Sea Island while he used his divine perception to learn what was going on. At the same time, he circulated his Four Seasons Samsara Art to the best of his abilities to recover some inner qi. After some time, he managed to regain some strength. However, he didn’t plan to fight anyone in his current state. Instead, it was to escape if anything went wrong.

Everything that happened next far exceeded his expectations. Or perhaps, even Shang Xia never thought that his actions would lead to such a disastrous, or miraculous ending, depending on how one looked at it. The obstacle he made nearly caused the monster of an island to lose its balance!

One had to know that Shang Xia’s initial plan was to damage the Northern Sea Island slightly and delay them from fighting for the World’s Will.

When Shang Xia felt the presence of the 2 grand completion stage Martial Extermination Realm experts and saw how they worked together to clear out the cluster of fragments he made, he started to make his escape.

What a joke. Even in my prime, fighting one of them will be a pain in the ass. No fucking way I’m fighting two…

At the moment, Shang Xia was running on empty. If he hadn’t taken the chance when they were distracted by the aftermath of whatever happened to run, he might never be able to get away.

His expectation was correct. He barely left his hiding spot when two terrifying beams of light landed on the position.

Staring at the fluctuating void caused by Shang Xia when he made his escape, one of the experts at the grand completion stage of the Martial Extermination Realm yelled, “I wonder which cultivator chose to go against my Northern Sea Mystic Sect. If you have the guts, leave your name behind! We, Zhui Fengzi and Chen Yuanzi, of the Northern Sea Mystic Sect, will definitely return the favor in the future!”

He used his inner qi to propel his voice deep into space. He tried to locate the hidden cultivator by doing so, but it was a shame Shang Xia fled with his tail tucked between his legs the moment he sensed danger. He might have heard what the man said, but he would be a fool to return.

“What’s the matter? Are you too much of a wuss to admit what you did after doing this?!” The other cultivator yelled. From the way they addressed themselves, the person who spoke earlier was probably called Zhui Fengzi and the person speaking now was Chen Yuanzi. His voice echoed in the void and it swept out with an even more terrifying force.

Neither Zhui Fengzi nor Chen Yuanzi believed that the giant cluster of fragments was created by a single person, and they were trying to get hints of the faction causing trouble for them.

When Chen Yuanzi yelled earlier, Zhui Fengzi wanted to stop him but it was too late. Chen Yuanzi used a secret art of the Northern Sea Mystic Sect that was great for tracking down enemies when he screamed. He used a portion of his source energy in order to display the full power of the secret art.

However, doing so would waste a portion of Chen Yuanzi’s core energy and it would be detrimental to their plans.

One had to know that they had been hiding in the Northern Sea Island the whole time. They were Martial Dipper Realm candidates like Shang Bo, and they were making their final preparations for when the Northern Sea Island went to fight for the World’s Will.

If not for the fact that Shang Xia nearly caused their island to tip over with his antics, the two of them wouldn’t have shown their faces no matter how big the disturbance caused by Liu Qinglan and Ren Bainian.

In order to look for the asshole who caused everything, Chen Yuanzi didn’t hesitate to exhaust his source energy. He basically lost his qualifications to enter the Martial Dipper Realm the moment he yelled.

From his actions, one could realize how much damage Shang Xia caused. Chen Yuanzi’s hatred for the culprit had already reached a terrifying level.

“Hmph! You can’t escape from me now!” Chen Yuanzi sneered before his figure started to blur.

Zhui Fengzi also became really solemn as he turned into another streak of light that followed behind Chen Yuanzi.

At the moment, Shang Xia had already left the range of their divine perception. He would never have expected them to be able to locate him using some sort of secret art! Not only were they able to locate him, they could also see the ‘traces’ he left behind!

Of course, Shang Xia might not have expected them to be able to do so, but he was no newbie cultivator. He destroyed all traces of himself while making his escape despite having to slow down a little.

He only heaved a sigh of relief after running out of their divine perception’s range. Feeling a lot more assured, he wanted to increase his speed. The moment he did, he would leave behind slight energy and spatial fluctuations. Those were the ‘traces’ Chen Yuanzi was looking for. With his secret art, those tiny insignificant fluctuations were captured perfectly.
