Chapter 619: Five Elements Paradoxical Yin Yang Paste

In the Tongyou Institution’s territory in the Beyond Heavens Pavilion…

5 days ago, a majority of the people on the Tongyou Island had been brought back to the Beyond Heavens Pavilion by Kou Chongxue and Ji Wenlong.

Other than the 200 or so cultivators who were in the Martial Intent Realm or below who were directly sent back to the Tongyou Mysterious World, the Martial Extermination Realm experts were brought to the Beyond Heavens Pavilion. They remained there for a day or two before a good portion of them returned to the institution.

There were only 4 people left in the Beyond Heavens Pavilion. They were Kou Chongxue, Shang Bo, Yun Jing, and Shang Xia. Even Ji Wenlong returned to the institution to hold the fort.

As the fusion of the Azure Origin World and Azure Spiritual World accelerated, the spatial barrier between them became a lot weaker than before. Entering each other’s world became much easier than before.

Back on the Manyu Continent, the Tongyou Institution orchestrated the betrayal of the Swallow Race. A huge portion of cultivators from the Swallow Race entered the battlefield between the two worlds undetected under Yan Ming’s lead. When the cultivators of the other races weren’t prepared, they worked together with the Tongyou Institution to launch a raid on the members of the Azure Spiritual World. The operation allowed them to capture a hundred or so cultivators from the Martial Extremity Realm to the Martial Extermination Realm.

When the Tongyou Institution returned to the battlefield between the two worlds back then and established the Observation Peak, they managed to regain their footwork after losing it during the integration of the Tongyou Mysterious World. However, the territory they owned was merely a third of the battlefield between the two worlds.

After the sudden attack on the Azure Spiritual World with the help of the Swallow Race, the Tongyou Institution’s territory expanded back to its original state. In fact, there were even signs of them suppressing the Azure Spiritual World.

With the lives of the hundred or so cultivators they captured as leverage, the Martial Dipper Realm Ancestors of both sides came to an agreement. They were traded for the freedom and safety of the Swallow Race who would be settling down in the You Continent.

After a majority of the Swallow Race’s clansmen entered the You Continent, the hundred or so cultivators were released. With nothing holding them back, the experts of the 3 great races of the Liao Continent, along with the Changbai Holy Land weren’t willing to accept the loss and started a maniacal counterattack against the Tongyou Institution in the battlefield between the two worlds.

Naturally, the institution wasn’t going to let them do as they wished. Unwilling to show weakness, cultivators under the Martial Extermination Realm were thrown into battle and both sides nearly flipped the battlefield between the two worlds over with all the chaos they caused. The battlefield between the two worlds basically turned into an exclusive battlefield for them.

The Tongyou Institution might have gained a quick and easy advantage at the start, but their foundations and accumulations were lacking when compared to the Changbai Holy Land and the 3 great races of the Liao Continent.

Even when the cultivators of the Swallow Race joined the institution, they were still losing ground in the exchanges in the battlefield.

That was why as soon as the Tongyou Island returned, Kou Chongxue sent the lower-leveled cultivators back despite them being worn out from the journey. He even got Ji Wenlong to return to the Tongyou City to take charge of things there.

In the 5 days that passed, Shang Xia had mostly been studying the rank five advancement formula that the Crimson Soul Tablet improved and optimized.

A small portion of his consciousness was used to consolidate his foundations and experiences. He was straightening and organizing everything he learned and gained during the entire trip to the Manyu Continent.

When he was finally done, he turned to stare at the formula that spanned all 4 faces of the tablet.

Advancement Formula to enter the Five Elements Realm:

Advancement Requirement: Five Elements Paradoxical Yin Yang Paste

Advancement Condition: Grand Completion Stage of the Four Constellation Realm

Compatibility: 100%

There wasn’t any surprise as the Crimson Soul Tablet named the Martial Dipper Realm the Five Elements Realm for Shang Xia directly.

However, Shang Xia couldn’t help but feel dizzy after looking through the advancement formula.

Without talking about anything else, the main requirement required fate dipper essence that corresponded to the 5 elements. That wasn’t all. He needed both the yin and yang essence which made a total of 10! Just that alone was enough to stump him.

The only thing Shang Xia knew about the 5 elements were the elements themselves. Well, if he were to make a deduction, he would extend it to the Five Visceras in the human body with the heart representing fire, the lungs representing metal, the spleen representing earth, the liver representing wood, and the kidneys representing water. Anything more than that, Shang Xia would have to start guessing blindly.

Next came the realization that the 5 elements were split into yin and yang.

An example would be the metal element which was split into Geng Metal which represented the Yang and the Xin Metal which represented the Yin.

By the same logic, Jia Wood, Ren Water, Bing Fire, and Wu Earth represented the Yang, and Yi Wood, Gui Water, Ding Fire, and Ji Earth represented the Yin.

Shang Xia would have to rely on himself to determine which fate dipper essence symbolized the Yin or Yang.

Whatever it was, gathering 10 strands of fate dipper essence was going to be a massive headache. There was no need to mention the fact that he still had to find the appropriate fate dipper essence that correctly corresponded with the yin and yang of the various elements.

As for the rank five spiritual objects he had to obtain, the Crimson Soul Tablet didn’t give too many details about what they had to be. The only requirement was that all of them had to be of the fifth rank. There was also the matter of the assistive requirement where all the treasures had to be of the fourth rank!

One had to know that rank five spiritual objects were normally used to craft divine weapons.

Even rank four spiritual objects were extremely rare and one had to put in a lot of effort to find them.

Just by looking at how Shang Xia obtained his rank four herbs back when he broke through to the Martial Extermination Realm would give him an idea how difficult it was to find treasures like that.

There was also the matter of the Five Elements Jade after that. According to how the tablet carried out its deduction, it had to be a rank five treasure. Moreover, it would be something they couldn’t find easily!

Shang Xia’s knowledge of what a Five Elements Jade was was as good as nothing.

Luckily, the Crimson Soul Tablet gave him a simple explanation of what it might be. ‘Fusing the essence of each element into a single entity’ was what was written and Shang Xia felt that it was probably a piece of jade that contained the special properties of the 5 elements.

Finally came the remarks. Everything there seemed a little interesting as from the content, Shang Xia could tell that the final product when he produced the Five Elements Paradoxical Yin Yang Paste was a little special. It should be split into the yin paste and the yang paste.

The Yin Paste was probably made with the fate dipper essence of the Yin type which would then be ingested by him during the advancement process while the Yang Paste was made from the fate dipper essence of the Yang Type would would then be applied on parts of his body that represented his Five Viscera.

Throughout the process, it would also be great to be in a location with abundant world origin. He could use it to hasten the absorption process and shorten the time needed to advance in case any accident happened.

.

The part that truly shocked and impressed Shang Xia was the part where he wouldn’t have to completely refine the fate dippers in order to advance into the Five Elements Realm!

It seemed as though he would be able to nurture fate dippers in his body after he used his advancement medicine.

Of course, Shang Xia knew the drawbacks. It was going to be a long and painful process for him to fully nurture his fate dippers. That was why the Crimson Soul Tablet also gave him some advice where he could continue to refine fate dipper essence after entering the Five Elements Realm to speed up the process of his fate dipper formation.

It wasn’t difficult for Shang Xia to understand that the rank five advancement formula deduced by the Crimson Soul Tablet was a lot more complicated than other rank five advancement formulas out there.

Because he had to nurture his fate dippers after entering the Five Elements Realm, he could already imagine that he would be the weakest individual in the cultivation realm for some time.

Also, since his advancement required 10 fate dipper essences, he would probably be able to nurture every one of them into a fate dipper. If that were to happen, the upper limit of his strength would probably be far above everyone else.

According to the understanding the cultivators of the Azure Origin World and Azure Spiritual World had of the Martial Dipper Realm, a cultivator would have to fully refine 5 fate dippers before stepping into the large completion stage. Only then would they gain the qualifications to enter the grand completion stage and get a chance to take a step through the gates of the Sixth Order of the Primary Realm.

For Shang Xia to have to turn all 10 fate dipper essences into fate dippers, one could only imagine how terrifying he would become after that were to happen.

Whatever the case, Shang Xia concluded that the advancement formula produced by the Crimson Soul Tablet had its pros and cons. It made it really easy to step into the Martial Dipper Realm, as one could probably ignore all the requirements during their advancement, but that would result in them being extremely weak. However, the upper limit of strength one could reach when using the advancement formula was horrifyingly high.

Looking at the success rate that ranged from 60% to 99%, Shang Xia could guess that it depended on the various requirements. Playing around with the formula, Shang Xia tried removing either the Yang fate dippers or the Yin fate dippers and saw that the success rate had dropped to 80 percent.

When he mixed up the fate dipper essence to possess random yin and yang properties, the success rate dropped to the lowest possible percentage of 60%!

The changes truly shocked Shang Xia. His surprise stemmed from the fact that the success rate still remained that high despite using random fate dippers! One had to understand that a success rate of 60% was still astronomically high when talking about breaking through to the Martial Dipper Realm.

Of course, now that he had a modified formula like that, he could pass it on to the clan or the institution without any worries.

He wasn’t being selfish by not revealing the advancement formula that suited him. After all, he was the only one who could use the complete formula with the assistance of the Crimson Soul Tablet!

Unless someone else had the Crimson Soul Tablet, otherwise, Shang Xia would only be harming everyone else if he publicized his method of advancement!
