Chapter 734: Exerting Dominance

The Abyssal Blade was a divine weapon no matter what! Even if it was broken, it was still far better than what was considered pseudo divine weapons.

Who would have thought that the weapon that would be a target of envy for many Martial Dipper Realm Ancestors would be regarded with disdain by Shang Xia just because he felt it couldn’t fully utilize his inner qi?

One had to know that since the Essence Realm, Shang Xia had been changing weapons at every stage of the way.

In the Essence Realm, Shang Xia practiced palm arts.

After entering the Yin Yang Realm, he started training in the way of the sword.

As an expert in the Triple Command Realm, he chose to practice the Shang Clan’s Inheritance, the Providence Spear Art.

When he broke through to the Four Constellation Realm, he developed his unique blade art, the Twenty Four Solar Terms.

Now that he finally stepped through the gates to the Five Elements Realm, it would seem as though he would be coming up with his unique martial art once again. After he was done, he would be able to leave behind a completely new martial arts inheritance.

The only problem he was facing was the fact that he didn’t know what weapon to choose. He could only do so after he completed the development of his rank five martial arts and it would have to be in tune with the characteristics of his Five Element Dipper Qi.

Back when he was in his peak state, Brother Xie was forced into a stalemate against Shang Xia’s squad. He split off a Fate Dipper Clone in an attempt to break out from their encirclement, but it was destroyed by Shang Xia. His true body was also nearly split in half by Shang Xia’s sudden attack. Even though he wasn’t ripped in half and could maintain his cultivation level at the second element of the Martial Dipper Realm, his combat strength had dropped greatly.

In Shang Xia’s squad, Shen Baisong and Lady Yu suffered pretty serious injuries. The gap that occurred due to their weakness was forcefully plugged after Shang Xia joined in the battle.

With the injuries he suffered and the destruction of his Fate Dipper Clone, it was a matter of time before Brother Xie from the Spirit Abundance World was killed by the constant assault by Shang Xia’s squad.

The next second, the fourth spatial tunnel emitted brilliant rays of light and a wave of world origin emerged. The powerful force even affected the cultivators who were fighting nearby.

2 experts from the Spirit Abundance World managed to escape from their plight by paying a pretty huge price because of the disturbance.

Whatever it was, those experts of the Azure Worlds close to the fourth spatial tunnel could no longer care about the experts of the Spirit Abundance World. A massive explosion rang through space as a horrifying aura emerged. 4 figures appeared from the tunnel.

They sent their experts through a single tunnel in the sixth wave, but all 4 of them arrived at the same spot.

The second they appeared, a horrifying aura enveloped the sealed space.

One had to know that the first wave of experts who arrived had cultivations in the fourth element of the Martial Dipper Realm or higher. All of them could be considered experts at the peak of the Martial Dipper Realm. However, the momentum they had when they arrived was far from comparable to the appearance of the newcomers.

How strong would the 4 who just came be if that was the case?!

“Kill!” A loud yell rocked the space they were in and the confusion in Shang Xia’s heart cleared immediately.

4 pillars of light shot through the depths of space and they were so powerful everyone could feel their hearts trembling. They flew at the squads closest to the 4 spatial tunnels.

Shang Xia detected their strength the moment the light pillars appeared. The light was condensed by the fusion of all 5 fate dippers!

They had refined 5 fate dippers each and all of them were in the large completion stage of the Martial Dipper Realm! It was even possible they were at the peak of the large completion stage.

Moreover, all of them were using divine weapons!

“Scatter!”

“Hurry up and run!”

“...”

Yells came from different squads from multiple directions.

The Martial Dipper Realm experts from the Azure Worlds pushed themselves to their limits as they turned into steaks of light that flew everywhere.

No one dared to clash with an expert at the large completion stage of the Martial Dipper Realm wielding a divine weapon…

Those pillars of light that were created by the experts from the Spirit Abundance World who were in the large completion stage of the Martial Dipper Realm flew for thousands of miles and turned the region of space around the spatial tunnels into a giant mess.

Battle formations crumbled and there were at least 4 experts from the Azure Worlds who failed to escape in time. Even after sacrificing their Fate Dipper Clones, they were slain by the wielder of those divine weapons.

Initially, the Azure Worlds gathered 9 squads of 5 cultivators each. Even so, they were barely holding on against the 20 or so experts of the Spirit Abundance World who came earlier. The second the 4 peak-level experts were sent over, the situation turned on its head. They launched a decisive counterattack and managed to directly destroy 3 battle formations.

2 squads were barely able to maintain their formations after the appearance of those experts. One of them managed to do so because they killed their target earlier and hadn’t had time to scatter. The others stuck together as they understood that if they were to run away on their own, all of them would die a miserable death.

The second squad contained Shang Xia and the others, and with Brother Xie on his last legs, they refused to be affected by the sudden change in situation and gave up their chance of killing him.

When Lady Yu managed to grab one of Brother Xie’s legs with a stream of water, Gong Xinlan found an opportunity to send a powerful fist intent his way. It shattered the weak protection barrier around him. Yi Jingzi had been observing the situation calmly this time and noticed the best chance of attack. Her short swords stabbed straight for her target’s chest.

None of them made a mistake in the crucial moment and Shen Baisong also got his hands on his Wooden Ruler that flew away earlier. When a figure separated itself from Brother Xie, he was ready for it and stabbed directly into its back.

The next moment, the figure that separated from the original body froze in mid air.

Lady Yu extracted the stream of water from the now lifeless true body before wrapping itself around the neck of the newly separated figure. Gong Xinlan’s fist intent changed trajectory at the last moment and slammed into the figure’s head. With a loud crack, the head was crushed.

“Phew…” Everyone heaved a sigh of relief and Yi Jingzi slowly retrieved her short sword that was supposedly driven into Brother Xie’s true body.

The instant she pulled her sword out, his eyes snapped open.

A brilliant wave of five colored light appeared the next instant as it swallowed Brother Xie’s true body who had lost all signs of life earlier.

“How… How did you discover what happened?” Shen Baisong asked. Earlier, when the new figure appeared, everyone changed the direction of their strikes as they thought that he would pull the same trick once again. They aimed for the new figure who was trying to escape in an attempt to kill Brother Xie once and for all.

With no life left to support the clone, the target who had its head smashed in by Gong Xinlan started to melt into a strange brown puddle. Blood poured from the neck of the body that was swallowed by Shang Xia’s five colored light earlier.

All 4 of them were nearly tricked by Brother Xie again…

In order to make them think that he replaced his true body with a clone before attempting to escape, Brother Xie didn’t hesitate to be stabbed by Yi Jingzi’s short swords. He fooled the others into thinking he was the clone and they diverted their attention to the escaping figure. The final fate dipper he refined was still in his body and he would have been able to run if they didn’t react fast enough. It was a shame Shang Xia was no fool.

“Maybe I could see it clearer because I wasn’t directly taking part in the battle. All of you were misled by his antics and lost track of his true body. I managed to see through his intentions easily from where I was…” Shang Xia explained.
