Stacking My Abilities

Chapter 38 - Greed (1)

Chapter 38 - Greed (1)

"YEESS!"

"Atlas is back!"

"The Smite team is here too!"

"We are saved!"

Looking at the approaching warriors, the crowd threw their hats and toques into the air.

Some bursted into tears of joy already.

The soldiers relaxed a little and tiredly smiled.

It's the Smite team after all. Made up of 7 S-ranks. This was the top combat power of Berrystone. This was the trump card of the sanctuary!

This monster was unstoppable to A-ranks and B-ranks. But now, their S-ranks had returned!

Not the self-proclaimed or borderline-level S-rank hunters. No. These were the elite S-ranks.

"Kick that thing's ass!"

"Yeaaahhh!"

"Beat the shit out of it!" People started to vent out their emotions.

"Ohhhmmm... Looks like more antagonists have entered the scene." Lord Trample turned around. "Just before my victory..."

The monster lord examined Atlas and his team. "Ohmm... You do look like a final boss."

Without saying anything back, maintaining his solemn expression, Atlas waved his hand forward.

Instantly, a ray of red light shot towards that minotaur.

At the same time, behind that monster, rays of various colors shot towards this target!

A burst of blinding light!

Btttoom!

Upon impact, the volatile mana inside those projectiles detonated one after another.

The ground shook a little. The air torrent shuttered the glasses of those condos nearby. Moving down the street, this torrent brushed through the knights. Like a visible tide of air, this current crashed into the crowd up the hill.

Under this intense wind, hats flew into the air. The crowd was pushed back like the grass under a helicopter.

Looking down the street, glass shards was starting to rain down now. A grey cloud rose up at where Lord Trample was standing.

Without hesitation, a girl in orange armor stepped forward. She pointed her scepter into that blast cloud.

From that green gem sitting at the top of her scepter, an invisible ray of psychic energy shot into that grey cloud.

Simultaneously, five smite members disappeared from the group. In the next instance, they had surrounded the blast cloud. In unison, they threw metal chains into that cloud.

The girl in orange let out a slight moan in pain. Clenching her teeth, leaning against her scepter, the girl curled up. However, she had completed her task successfully.

It only took half a second for Lord Trample to recover from her attack. But in this half a second, this monster was just a sitting duck!

And that was enough.

The moment Lord Trample regained his clarity in thought, he was already tied up in chains.

Two chains wrapped around its arm like snakes.

Two chains around its ankles.

A chain around its neck.

Before the blast cloud cleared up, with obstructed vision, the monster could only see glinting lights ahead.

The chains on its limbs were pulling down hard. These knights were trying to bring Lord Trample to the ground!

They failed. But at the same time, Lord Trample could not dodging the arrows either. He was pinned to that spot!

Pooh! Pooh! Pooh!

Arrows pierced the armor of this monster. Electricity sparks. Spurts of acid. A rancid spell of poisons.

"Hhaaarrrhhh!" Lord Trample pulled against the chains. In rage, this minotaur managed to take a step forward.

One step. Two steps. The warrior pulled the knights forward.

Walking out the settling blast cloud, Lord Trample saw a brightening up light. It quickly became blinding to watch.

It's the lance in Atlas' hand!

Turned out, all of these attacks were mere set-ups for their commander!

Their purpose: Ensure that their target won't be able to dodge this attack.

The edge of Atlas' mouth lifted up a little. But this warrior quickly hid his confident smile.

Blast off!

A rumbling sound echoed through the sanctuary.

Another torrent violently tore through this land.

To Atlas' knowledge, there were only 7 glow-tier weapons in the sanctuary. Most of which were communal, owned by the sanctuary, not an individual.

In the hands of the capable, any single one of these topnotch weapons could unleash tactical level powers. If used correctly, any one of them could seal the outcome of a battle.

Even his fellow commander, commander Magni didn't own a glow-tier.

This lance was his trump card. His ultimate skill!

A move that could instantly shred even SS-rank monsters into pieces!

A shot that could only be fueled by SS-rank tier mana!

[Wrath]!

Today, its might shall be shown to the world!

The rumbling quieted down.

The blinding light quickly dimmed.

That attack had knocked the minotaur five or six steps down the street. The lance pierced the monster's armor. Its entire blade had sank into the monster's chest.

Grabbing onto that lance, staring at Atlas with those large bull eyes, Lord Trample huffed through its nose.

Mist was streaming out of that wound now. Lord Trample had been injured.

"Yes!" The soldiers cheered at this result.

"Go Atlas!"

"You did it!"

"Yes! It's not invisible!"

"We can grind it down!"

"Keep on doing that!"

Seeing this result, Atlas tried to gulp, but his mouth was try. This commander felt a chill running up his spine.

That was his strongest shot... Yet... Only a minor injury?

The gaze of this commander wavered.

Did he even stand a chance... Was there any hope of winning?

"Hhhhaaaarrrggh!" Lord Trample yanked the lance out of his chest. A spurt of mist came out with the lance tip.

The chains were still pulling on it. But no matter how hard the knights pulled, Lord Trample remained unshakable.

Turning its hand, it grabbed onto a chain and yanked.

"Abort!"

The hunters quickly let go.

Whoosh! Slap!

Lord Trample used that chain like a whip.

BAM!

A solid hit landed on a smite member. That poor fella was knocked into a condo building nearby.

"Lance!" Atlas gritted his teeth.

The archer in purple handed this commander a new lance. But it's only glint-tier this time.

Without further hesitation, Atlas charged at that towering monster.

"Back at you!" Lord Trample took aim at Atlas.

Leaving a snap in the air, that lance shot forward like a missile.

Atlas could barely catch this projectile's movement path. Out of instinct and prediction, Atlas flicked up.

"Hyah!" A heavy lift.

Atlas managed to deflect that missile!

Success! Maybe he did stand a chance!
