Chapter 91: Arrival at the Throne World (1)

Chapter 91: Arrival at the Throne World (1)

"So what is the result of the scans?"

Arcturus asked around two hours later when the Obscurus finished scanning around the entire unknown Star System somewhere at the fringes of the Chronus Expanse Star Region as there was a lot of debris from the starships of the White Shark Corsairs.

Unfortunately for Highborne Asuryani, it seemed that not many things had survived the onslaught of the Obscurus, as most of the valuable things were destroyed during the exchange.

<Unfortuenly not good. Most of the objects were destroyed during the exchanges between the starships, and what wasn't destroyed back then when I turned the starships of the White Shark Corsairs against each other was destroyed when Obscurus unleashed its power onto the starships.>

Red Queen's holoprojection appeared next to him, as he was reading a book on his leather sofa in the master bedroom of the Obscurus. Arcturus finished the workload of today and after the good fight against the Space Pirates, he decided to get some rest.

"Whatever... everything that we can take from the starships from the space pirates is good. It's not like those guys are rich either way... did you manage at least to find Credit Data Banks?"

Credit Data Banks were special devices that were manufactured by the top corporations of the known Cosmos and their sole purpose was to preserve any kind of currency that was stored within the Credit Data Banks.

Because of their purpose, which was to serve as storage space for any kind of currency, they were made from extremely durable materials, so much so that even some of the Type 3 Weaponry.

<Not really that much. All of them are in different currencies used by the Mid-Level Civilizations; they are barely worth a few thousand Universal Credits. The materials obtained from the starships are worth even less; I would suggest jumping into the Hyperspace as we are wasting time in this place. We are just around three weeks away from the Throne World of the Eternal Empire.>

As the Red Queen stated that, he gave her the green light to the request because there was nothing much to do aside from searching the debris, but that was essentially worthless.

"Also, did you submit the proof to the Bounty Hunter Guild about the destruction of the White Shark Corsairs?"

Arcturus asked when the Red Queen started controlling the starship Obscurus to jump into the Hyperspace. Due to the invasion of the systems of the Space Pirate, Red Queen quickly managed to pinpoint where exactly they were on the star maps, and they were rather close to the borders between the Phoenix Star Region and Chronus Expanse Star Region.

<Yes. The Bounty has been submitted, and the Bounty Hunter Guild paid the reward to your account in the Cosmic Vaultbank, which is more than 30,000 Universal Credits. It seems that there was a bonus for the complete destruction of the crew of the White Shark Corsairs, seeing that nobody has survived the onslaught.>

Arcturus then opened the display through the Extranet, which showed this "Status" in the Star Mercenary Association and Bounty Hunter Guild.

- Bounty Hunting (Space Pirates, Ravagers, Rogues, Criminals)

- Assassinations

- Escort

- Space Cleaning (Space Pirates, Greenskins)]

His template within the Star Mercenary Association and Bounty Hunter Guild and their joint database showcased the number of missions that he completed and the completion rate of his missions.

Because he was taking only a few missions till now and completed only 5 bounties and only those in whose completion he was absolutely confident in, he had a 100% completion rate of his missions.

He planned to undertake more missions but that was more unlikely while being in the territory of the Eternal Empire of the Asurya, but he could still complete the Bounties, as apparently the Bounty Hunter Guild had more "privileges" if he could term it like that within the Eternal Empire and its Imperial Space.

"I should try to take more missions to elevate my rank... it is rather too low, unfortunately for the time being, it won't be that possible, aside from the Bounties exclusive limited to the Imperial Space."

Within the Imperial Space of the Eternal Empire of the Asurya, the Bounty Hunter Guild had the right to accept Bounties of the Asuryani Origin and assign them to the Bounty Hunters of the Asuryani or Votann Origin who were Bounty Hunters and had citizenship of the Eternal Empire of the Asurya.

This mainly stemmed from the reason that the Empire needed a certain number of the Bounty Hunters, as they were rather useful when it came to dealing with Space Pirates, Criminals, Ravengers, and other unsavory elements when the Imperial Forces were busy with the more important things.

Imperial Army and Imperial Navy couldn't deal with every single little Space Pirate or criminal who managed to slip through the Imperial Borders or escape from the pursuit of justice.

And even though the Asuryani Citizens found occupations like Bounty Hunters beneath them, there were still some that were doing the job, and thus, there were still some Asuryani Bounty Hunters that were registered within the Bounty Hunter Guild.

"Whatever... should be going already..."

Soon enough, the Obscurus enter the Hyperspace, leaving behind only a bunch of destroyed starships and wreckage floating around in the unnamed Star System around the borders between the core and outer territories of the Imperial Space.

Traveling through the Hypersapce for a longer amount of time was rather boring; that was one solid conclusion to which Arcturus came after he spent another two weeks and a few days locked on the Obscurus.

He already missed the fresh air, even though the Obscurus was producing it constantly due to the advanced technology that the ship was constructed with. Yet, spending around fifteen or sixteen days moving in one place became rather annoying and repetitive in the end.

Most of the time, if not all of the time he was traveling, Arcturus spent training in the trainĂn groom because, in truth, there was nothing better to do. Aside from occasionally observing the Workoer Droids and Mining Droids doing some odd jobs around the spaceships and watching the Red Queen manually upgrading the starship, he could only read some books in the evening.

While he was bored, he had one rule to relieve his boredom, which was to do something productive and something that he would gain something from it.

While there were tons of means of entertainment through the Extranet or Imperial NetSphere, Arcturus gave the benefit of the doubt to self-study and training, as he wanted to get stronger, more powerful, and more knowledgeable.

Even though he entered the Imperial Phoenix Military Academy on the special recommendations from Grandmaster Arsit Byrmellir and Lord Padishah-Marshall Ardyn Tiberrius, he would have a certain degree of special treatment due to his lack of common knowledge that would bring him only that far.

So, he rather enjoyed the feeling of studying and exploring new things.

Just a few days ago, they passed through the last Hyperspace Gateway, and right now, he was in the Imperial Core, which was the core of the Imperial Space and the true heart of the Eternal Empire of the Asurya.

The Hyperspace Gateway were series of gates that were around the blockage of the Hyperspace. One of the most envied achievements of the Eternal Empire of the Asurya and the pinnacle of its technological prowess was that they managed to create barriers in the Hyperspace corresponding to the Imperial Core.

Through the Hyperspace, one could enter the Imperial Core only through the Hyperspace Gateways that were extremely guarded by technologies and weapons that could kill even Beyonders with their firepower.

The Empire wasted no resources in eliminating the Hyperspace weakness in their Imperial Core as the Imperial Core was literarily one of the safest, if not the safest, territories within the entire Andromeda Galaxy and its surrounding galaxies.

Because he was already in the Imperial Core of the Eternal Empire of the Asurya, he was rather close to the Throne World of the Empire, and according to modest estimations, he would be arriving around five days at the Throne World.

As he was in the Imperial Core, the journey was much faster because there were only a few Hyperspace Lanes within the Imperial Core, and all of them were heavily monitored. And within the Imperial Core the Highborne Asuryani could use the main Hyperspace Lanes for free, so he directly jumped on the Primary Hyperspace Lane.

It was one of the perks and privileges that was given to all Highborne Asuryani within the Eternal Empire of the Asurya and some Forge Masters of the Votanns, among many other benefits and things they obtained upon their birth.

Arcturus thus didn't need to waste any more time, and using the Primary Hyperspace Lane was the fastest option of transportation, as he was en route to the Throne World.

Asurya Star System, Imperial Star Domain, Phoenix Star Sector, Starflame Star Segment, Phoenix Star Region, North-Western Galactic Quadrant

The core of the Empire was the Asurya Star System, located in the very heart of the interstellar Empire that dominated the entire North-Western Galactic Quadrant of the Andromeda Galaxy, and it was only a matter of time until the entire North-Western Galactic Quadrant fell to the control of the Eternal Empire of the Asurya.

The Asurya Star Region, named like everything within the Empire, after the entity worshipped by the Asuryani people, The Asura, a being of myth and slaughter that led the ancestors of the Empire to the glorious future.

Even the Grandmaster Arsit Byrmellir couldn't confirm the existence of the Asura, yet, he could also not deny it. At the same time, it was highly possible that a being like that existed, though he himself was rather skeptical, but everything was possible in this vast Cosmos.

<Notice to the unidentified vessel of Class-Adjudicator, Type: M of Model: M, halt in your advance and proceed to the registration center. Presne the documentation and Idenfifcations of the Imperial Citizenship.>

Just as the Obscurus entered the Asurya Star System, a voice from nearby Starfort was heard on the deck of the Obscurus. Arcturus did exactly what the Imperial Officials wanted from him because the last thing he wanted was to be subjugated.

After presenting the documentation, the Imperial Officials quickly processed the request to enter the Asurya Star System, noticing that his spaceship was surrounded by around twenty or thirty humongous starships that were far bigger than the Obscurus, and all of them aimed their weaponry at his ship.

When everything was finished, the Imperial Officials told him that he could proceed to dock at the Imperial Starfort, where his spaceship would be scanned for dangerous material, contrabands, forbidden items, or anything that may endanger the Throne World.

The Throne Star System was home to the two most important planets to the Empire, the Planet Asurya and Planet Dwarrowdelf, nothing could be allowed to happen on those wrodls due to their crucial importance for the Eternal Empire of the Asurya and its proper funcitioning.

So the security protocols were extremely strict in this place for sure, and everyone who entered the Star System and wanted to land on either of the two planets needed to undergo several checks and complete scans before they would be allowed to land.

This applied to everyone, regardless of their status, as Arcturus noticed that there were even a few starships belonging to the Aristocratic Bloodline Lineage Houses waiting in the queen to be processed and allowed to land down either on the Asurya or Dwarrowdelf.

Fortunately enough, the line was being taken care of very quickly because the people doing the job were professionals, and soon enough, the entire Obscurus was swarmed by a huge swarm of drones that were scanning every nook and cranny of the ship from the outside.

This process didn't take even five minutes until the entire starship was scanned, and results from the control were sent to the administration office. Afterward, the the administration office of the Imperial Navy gave him the green light, which allowed Arcturus to proceed to the docking area of the Starfort.

Because this was the first time he was entering the Asurya Star Region, he needed to undergo a more extensive and thorough examination and control than the people who were flying here on a regular basis, who would need to go through only the "simplified" one.

If it could be even called simplified simplified for the Empire was struck as possible for the other star nations. The Starfort where he was docking was of the same style and appearance as the Starfort Lycurgos within the Rylon Star System of the Alaric Star Domain that defended the Star Domain from the attacks of Greenskins and Mind Flayers.

While the Imperial Navy didn't have many of them, they were still not wasting any effort when it came to the defense of their home, that one must be defended with everything they got.
