Chapter 230: Nuhatch Tousen [Part 2]
Chapter 230: Nuhatch Tousen [Part 2]
Chapter 230: Nuhatch Tousen [Part 2]
Every noble family had areas where they were particularly influential in. Just like the Sizer Family was very famous in the empire’s flying car industry, the Nuhatch Family was very influential in the area of military. Although their power couldn’t compare to the one emperor and three kings, they were one of the big players after excluding the latter. The Nuhatch Family had produced many famous generals; in fact students would find many generals carrying the surname Nuhatch in their imperial history book.
Tousen was almost ten years older than Bel, and he was a graduate of AF3. To this day, one could find his name within the list of outstanding AF3 graduates. Bel could hardly not have heard about the former bigshot in AF3; there were many times his lecturers had used Tousen as an example in class.
Cillin continued to sit on the person’s back even though Tousen was walking straight towards him. He stared directly at Tousen without showing any fear whatsoever.
He wasn’t trying to be arrogant. From the first moment he saw Tousen, Cillin knew that he mustn’t show weakness before him. He would lose on all fronts the moment he tried to. It was completely unrelated to one’s status or identity, and it had everything to do with one’s strength and skill. Tousen was somewhat similar to Knight. It was why Cillin felt a familiar feeling when he was facing down Tousen. It was just like the time Knight stood in front of him when they first met.
Tousen stared at the young man before him. Although the young man was quite a few years younger than him, he didn’t show any signs of weaknesses at all. The young man was the one who was sitting and arching his neck to look at him, but for some reason Tousen felt like they were staring at each other at an even level.
Everyone had a powerful or weak unique atmosphere of their own. So when Cillin and Tousen grew closer and closer, the clash of atmospheres caused every around them to feel as if the very air had thickened a little.
Tousen walked until he was right in front of Cillin. Without a word, he stretched his hand towards the man Cillin was sitting on.
His grabbing movement wasn’t fast, so everyone around him could see it clearly. But what happened next was a blur to the students.
Cillin gripped Tousen’s incoming wrist forcefully, turned over and used the momentum to throw an elbow strike at Tousen’s throat. At the same time, he knocked his opponent’s flying kick back with his knees. Cillin’s elbow strike failed to connect, however. Tousen had blocked the blow with his palm. Although it was just a palm, it felt as solid as a steel shield. Not only did Tousen manage to stop his attack, he was even pushing back towards him.
Both their reactions could only be described as swift, and every strike was only faster than the other. If at first some students were able to catch a glimpse of their movements, then what happened afterwards was a complete blur. They heard the sounds of flesh hitting flesh, but they had no idea how either one of the combatants were faring.
The duo had exchanged blows with each other for a very short time. In fact, the entire fight didn’t last more than two seconds. But during these two seconds both parties had exchanged at least a couple dozens of blows, and any one of these hits could disable their opponent entirely if they connected even once.
When the students saw the duo clearly again, Cillin and Tousen had exchanged places with each other. Right now Tousen was standing in front of the person who took a beating from Cillin, and Cillin was standing at where Tousen previously was standing.
The students could only guess who got the better of the other from the duo’s attire, but unfortunately for them they couldn’t see anything. They still looked the same as they were before. That being said, a lot of people were starting to grow fear towards Cillin, especially the group who was told to ‘roll’ out of the way. Right now every one of them were thanking their lucky stars for not attacking Cillin earlier, because they would certainly be destroyed by the end of the fight. Already they couldn’t remember the number of times they were destroyed by Tousen and his underlings. It was exactly why they acted like terrified mice when they saw the proverbial cat that was Tousen.
Tousen massaged his palm for a bit. It was warm; he had no idea this kid had so much strength until they fought. At the same time, Tousen was shocked by Cillin’s combat abilities.
The onlookers might not have noticed anything, but not Tousen. A different person might be surprised that Cillin remained strong despite exchanging head on blows with Tousen, but Tousen himself knew that he had already lost.
He didn’t need to touch his gun to know that the weapon had fallen apart inside his holster, and the thing that caused it to fall apart was a fist that brushed past the clothes around his waist just now. It was the only opportunity the kid had to do such a thing. Not even Tousen could predict that Cillin would come off with results even though his blow failed to connect perfectly.
The corner of Tousen’s lips turned upwards; he didn’t feel anger towards his loss at all. He kicked the man lying on the ground once with his heel, and it caused the latter’s dislocated bones to pop back into place. Although the man was still in a lot of pain, he could now climb back up to his feet and force himself to walk. And that was exactly what he did because he would rather endure the pain, stagger and ‘roll’ out of the way than stay right next to these two people.
“”What’s your name, kid?” Tousen looked at Cillin without showing much emotion on his eyes. He might admire Cillin a lot, but he didn’t show it on his face.
“The fart does it have anything to do with you!”
Bel, not Cillin, was the one who cut off Cillin’s answer as he walked over to their side. Out of everyone present in this area, the prince was literally the only one who dared to shout at a major who was also a noble with such an offensive tone.
Tousen’s face very obviously stiffened as Bel walked with his feet splayed outwards towards him. The corner of his eyes twitched again and again...
Why is this little devil here?!
The answer quickly came to himself. If those two from Blazing Eagle had shown up, then it wasn’t strange for this little devil to be here as well. That being said, this wasn’t a fortuitous encounter whatsoever.
Tousen was aware of some famous fops among the nobles, but these fops were only arrogant when they were outside. Normally, they were as timid as turtles when they were facing their own fathers. Bel was an exception however, he wasn’t even afraid of King Blazing Eagle. Everyone in the empire knew that the guy most prone to irrationality and stupid acts was the prince before him.
Tousen tugged at the corner of his lips. “I didn’t know you were here, Your Royal Highness.”
“Your... Your Royal Highness?!”
Everyone in the area was dumbstruck by his words. The head deputy teacher especially felt like committing suicide. What was he doing just now? Did he really point a finger at His Royal Highness and tried to lecture him? It didn’t matter which family the prince belonged to, because he had no right to preach any of them, not to mention that all three princes of the royal families were infamously bad tempered. He was dead. There was no way he could escape this time.
Chang Three and Chang Four’s mouths were slightly agape. Your Royal Highness? Is there really a prince like this? This prince was just skinning frogs inside a kitchen moments ago!
The headmaster and the rest of the school staff also came to their own realization. Your Royal Highness? Could he be the prince of the Blazing Eagle royal family? After all, the royal family troops who showed up at Baelenbaatar also belonged to Blazing Eagle.
Some students had come to the same conclusion, but none of them dared to say a word right now. A brawl had just happened after all.
Bel couldn’t care less about these people’s attention. He watched Tousen like he was watching a thief before moving forwards to give him a push. “I thought you soldiers are always busy, aren’t you? So go busy yourself with things and stay out of this. We shall not trouble you with such trivial matters.” While saying this, he turned around to look at the headmaster who was twirling his fingers. “The school will deal with this properly, right?”
“Of... of course!” The headmaster reassured again and again. Although he was a noble himself, his family was absolutely incomparable to a royal family. Frankly speaking Bel could kick him off his position right now if he so wished.
“There’s no need to rush. I was originally here to check out Baelenbaatar Middle School’s environment since I heard that it’s a relaxing place. Should we find a place to sit and speak with each other?”
It was a question, but Tousen’s face betrayed the finality of the issue.
“Our school has plenty of places for you to conduct such talks. I shall arrange...” The headmaster hastily said.
“There’s no need!” Bel cut off the headmaster before he could finish. “It is best we remain uninvolved with the military as much as possible. We are just normal students, and we prefer not to get in contact with the military while we’re still receiving our higher education.”
The second the deputy head teacher heard Bel said “receiving our higher education”, his relaxing heart abruptly tightened up like a spring once more. Thankfully for him, he fainted upon hearing the answer. He was Your Royal Highness, there could only be one place he was referring to when he said “AF3”.
“That isn’t necessarily true. Back then I was already performing missions for the military while I was still studying.” Tousen waved a hand carelessly.
“You said it yourself. Then is then, now is now. We’re just a bunch of bad students who have no heart for studying. All we want to do is to enjoy life.” Bel said in a foppish way.
“Look...”
“Well don’t look!” Bel grabbed Cillin and immediately ran towards outside.
“Come on, Your Royal Highness, let us talk...”
“No talks! No talks! Just give up... just forget about it already!” Impressively, Bel managed to recall the word play he used against his father while he was running away.
Tousen smiled as he watched Bel pulling Cillin with him and running towards the distance. Just you wait, kid!
Ignoring the confused crowd who still had no idea what they were talking about, Tousen walked back to his flying car and drove away.
After Tousen left, the headmaster and vice headmasters finally regained their authority as they directed the security guards and the medical staff at the scene.
The forgotten group who was told to ‘roll’ to a side exchanged a couple of glances with each other. In the end, they obediently went back to Tousen to receive their punishment of their own accord. If their guesses were correct, then they had a jail to sit and a couple of beatings waiting for them around the corner. Sigh!
When Tousen returned to the place the school had originally sent him to, he took out his gun holster and poured out the scattered parts inside. A moment later, he quickly reassembled the parts into a perfectly intact gun.
Tousen looked at the gun for a moment before putting it back into the holster. He tapped the table surface and thought about things that only he knew.
Behind Tousen, two officers exchanged a glance with each other after they saw the smile on Tousen’s face. Their superior was probably coming up with some devious scheme again.
When Bel dragged Cillin back to Chang Four’s hostel, the first thing he said was, “Don’t you fall for that guy’s trap, Cillin! You absolutely, absolutely must not join the army! He wants to seduce the Blazing Eagle royal family’s men, doesn’t he? Well he ain’t getting a door or a window to come in!”
Cillin thought to himself: Since when did I become the Blazing Eagle royal family’s men?
Although the empire practiced a hierarchical social system, big powers still paid a lot of attention to extremely talented individuals. Luring each other’s talented individuals was a pretty common thing.
“Listen to me, the army is a painful and tiring and unrewarding place. Hmm... you probably can’t even find a wife easily when you’re in the army. Can you imagine being a bunch of dudes who are forced into a cramped space and whipped everyday? If you’re unlucky you might not even get to see a girl for a couple of years straight... Now look at where you are right now. It’s great, it’s relaxing, you can do whatever you want or fantasize about any girls. You are as free as you wish to be! So why should you ever go into the military and ask for trouble...”
Cillin could do nothing but nod his head passively as Bel rattled on about the negatives of joining the army. It was likely that Your Royal Highness had suffered the same pain in the past, or there was no way he could’ve explained them in such detail and complemented them with an equally lively facial expression.
At the side, Nakut couldn’t find an opening to mention that the roasted frogs were ready for a very long time.
