50 Destroying The Skeletons - Chapter 50
50 Destroying The Skeletons - Chapter 50
Fraus did not speak any longer and nodded. He turned back and started going towards the location where the mission was marked on his map.
The location is clear and where he needs to go is easy to find.
He entered the forest without too much delay.
The forest was humble, murky, and verdant. Its canopy was contested by rowan, holly, and cypress; sufficient twinkling lights burst through their crowns for bright ferns to grow in the stony grounds below. Silent vines dangled from many a tree, and a hodgepodge of flowers, which were scattered sporadically, added more life to the otherwise monotonous scenery.
A disharmony of wild sounds, most of which belonged to birds, filled the air and was in harmony with the sounds of a fight over dominance between larger animals.
Fraus inspected the forest as he walked. It is very different than the Border Mountain Forest. As compared to the Border Mountain Forest, this forest is more untouched and filled with many kinds of wild animals.
For just ten minutes of walking, Fraus saw many wild animals, including herbivores and carnivores. He did not see any monsters for the time being. As he kept walking, he did not forget to look for the map.
"In thirty minutes, I will reach the location of the Bone Army."
Fraus kept walking without minding the wild animals around him. as long as he did not attack. He will not kill these wild animals, as it is just a waste of time in his eyes.
Twenty minutes later, he saw a creature that came from his nightmares and fiction books.
It was a skeleton with a bone sword made up from some parts of a human-like creature. It moved fast enough and made cracking sounds as it moved.
"Skeleton Swordsman"
"White Level Creature"
Fraus did not hesitate and summoned one Gemini clone and ordered
"Kill it."
With the order of Fraus, Gemini Clone brandished its word and started running towards the Skeleton Swordsman. The movement of Gemini Clone took the attention of the skeleton and it turned its head and got ready for fight. But it was no use.
"Swoosh"
The Skeleton Swordsman swings his sword to approach the Gemini Clone.
The Gemini clones, who were much stronger, faster, and had more mastery over swords, easily evaded and with a simple slash towards the skull of the creature, it cracked down on the head of it and killed it.
As Skeleton Swordsman died, it dropped a white-colored soul stone. These stones are worth one silver each.
"If I kill enough magical creatures and find enough stones, the value I would be gathering would be much more than the mission itself pays."
Fraus smiled at his thoughts and kept moving after clearing out one of the skeletons.
As Fraus kept moving, he encountered four more Skeleton Swordsmen on the way to the direct mission location, and Gemini Clones took out them with ease.
None of them dropped any stones, as Fraus was not that lucky man in the first place.
Fraus passed a thick tree and used his hands to open green bushes. What he saw made him shocked.
It is weird and different. More than 200 skeleton-type creatures are stationed around a symbolic statue looking like a robed skeleton stone statue.
Fraus thought
"I understand that skeletons are strong creatures, but two hundred of them, including Skeleton Swordsman, Skeleton Archers, Bone Dogs, and Bone Bugs, is not something one Starsign User at the level of Candle can handle."
Fraus believed even weaker Torch-Level Starsign users would have a problem fighting against these beings.
"Only to take out these creatures for ordinary people with no similar ability to mine is using techniques and different kinds of tactics. A full-frontal battle would be impossible."
Fraus started thinking about the matter of the skeleton.
These skeleton creatures have a big disadvantage when it comes to battle and these kinds of matters. These kinds of disadvantages may prove fatal in the end.
The disadvantage is simple; their lack of intelligence makes them easy prey for people who are able to use tactics with their own ability.
Of course, something like this can be changed as time goes on and the matters surrounding the event will change too. It depends on what kind of power and ability the individual has, but Fraus did not think about it for the time being.
"Usually, I would make a plan, but I am going to just use pure Gemini clones to take them out and make them gain experience."
With these thoughts in his mind, Fraus put a distance between himself and the Skeleton Army. The distance between him and the skeleton army was about 50 meters. He climbed to a big tree and then closed his eyes, summoning the Gemini Clones.
He ordered within his mind without hesitation.
"Attack the skeletons and kill them all."
With the order of Fraus, Gemini Clones started moving and running towards the skeletons. In less than five seconds, Gemini Clones and the Skeleton Army, who had more than 200 skeletons and many types of creatures, entered the battle.
Gemini Clones started destroying most of the skeletons, but the numbers changed many things. After four Gemini Clones attacked the skeleton army, in just twenty seconds, all of them were killed.
"The problem is not Skeleton Swordsman. Gemini Clones are able to take them out without too much of a problem."
But the Bone Bugs and Bone Dogs slow down to Gemini Clones and then Skeleton Archers easily take them out. "
Fraus saw each of his Gemini Clone die. Three of them died by arrows from Skeleton Archers and only one of them died in a horde of Skeleton Swordsman.
Against the attack of more than ten Skeleton Swordsman, it was not able to do anything at all.
Fraus waited for ten seconds and kept sending the four Gemini clones. After the Gemini clones die, everything they have been through goes to Fraus as experience, and when he summons a new set of Gemini clones, the new gemini clones are born with additional experience. This means that every time they die in a battle and are born again, they know how they died and will do better in the next turn.
It is something like an evolutionary system.
