Note about RAWs: Just wanted to bring this up since it’s been mentioned but SCSG is a novel that has undergone many changes since being first published. The RAWs provided for on the official site are rather different from what is found on pirated sites, since most pirated sites typically only grab chapters at time of release, whereas the official site has the most updated version. I am using the official RAWs. I bring it up because this does affect some things, like how events play out in some arcs, as well as a chapter name discrepancy in arc 4.

Hope this clears up any confusion to anyone that has read from a pirated site and is baffled by the discrepancy!

11. Scene of Bloody Slaughter, Ah, Scene of Bloody Slaughter~

“From now on, don’t like me anymore...” Xie He’s expression abruptly turned serene, and he said, “I won’t fall for you. You’re only wasting your time on me.”

It was only because he had undergone such a cruel experience that he understood just how rare Ning Qi’s love was and that he ought to treasure this seldomly seen kindness. Since he couldn’t give Ning Qi what he wanted, then the next best thing was to ensure that Ning Qi would not sink into an abyss of suffering too...even if Xie He was a bit unwilling to let go of this sliver of warmth within the darkness....

Ning Qi stroked the boy’s hair, his movement gentle, “I like you. I’ve never thought it to be a waste of time.”

These gentle words once again smashed the wall of defence the boy had gone through much difficulty to construct. Pain once again emerged on his face, and he shouted hysterically, “I’m telling you that it’s a waste of time! Why won’t you listen to me?! Why won’t you listen!? I can never like you!”

Ning Qi said, “Because that person is forcing you, right? He’s using this method to torment you so that you can never like anyone else.”

“H-how did you...?” Xie He stared at him in fear as he didn’t understand how Ning Qi knew.

Ning Qi’s gaze was deep, and he enunciated one word at a time, “That person is Deng Jingwen, isn’t he?”

The colour in Xie He’s face drained away, and his body began to tremble.

The most improbable answer was the true answer.

Ning Qi shut his eyes. At this moment, his mind had never been clearer. What he didn’t understand before, he now understood. Aside from Deng Jingwen, no one else could treat the boy like this. No one else could make it so that he did not dare to say a thing despite being so upset—even to the point that he wouldn’t dare accept anyone else’s help....For the last few days, the boy had stayed with the Deng Family the whole time, and yet, the traces on his body were all fresh. It was obvious that he had been incessantly violated.

The only one who could do all of this was Deng Jingwen and no one else.

It was just that because this conclusion was too unbelievable, he had never considered it before.

He didn’t dare imagine that Deng Jingwen would go as far as to lay his hands on his own son...this beast!

Ning Qi’s hands clenched into a tight fist, his nails nearly breaking the skin of his palms.

At that moment, a sudden knock echoed against the door. Soon after, a deep and graceful voice sounded, “Xiao Zhuo. Open the door.”

Xie He’s entire body froze. In the next moment, he pushed Ning Qi’s hands away, pulled on his pants, and stumbled over to the door, pushing it open.

Deng Jingwen stood outside. He lowered his head slightly and gave Xie He an insipid smile. His dignified and deep voice had zero emotion, “Xiao Zhuo.”

Although he was smiling, Xie He felt ice-cold all over after seeing the other’s expression. It felt like his blood had frozen, and his body trembled as he whined, “Dad....”

Ning Qi stared at Deng Jingwen and felt the blood instantly rush to his head! He looked at the boy’s extremely fearful appearance. When he thought about all of the marks on the boy’s body and the torment he had endured, he could no longer control himself! He rushed forward and pulled Xie He by his wrist, blocking the boy with his own body!

Ning Qi fixed his gaze firmly onto Deng Jingwen, both eyes red and squeezed out words between gnashed teeth, “I won’t let you hurt him anymore!”

Deng Jingwen stared at him, eyes like an endless abyss. A few seconds later, he let out a disdainful laugh, “With your strength?”

Although it was just a light comment, it still made Ning Qi feel an unprecedented pressure. He was very clear on Deng Jingwen’s capabilities. Even if it was the entire Ning Family, they were no match against Deng Jingwen, let alone just himself. However, he could not retreat! He could not bear to see the boy he loved endure such painful torture any longer! No matter what, he will throw caution to the wind and go all out today! He would not let Deng Jingwen take Deng Zhuo away!

Xie He was protected by Ning Qi. He stared at Ning Qi’s tall and resolute back, and for a moment, he forgot to react.

Why...he clearly knew that it’s an impossible mission, but he still wanted to protect him like this....

Although he didn’t quite understand things, he did know that Ning Qi was not a match for Deng Jingwen. Therefore, he did not accept Ning Qi’s help. This was because Ning Qi could not help him. Instead, he would only anger Deng Jingwen, which would only make Xie He’s life more miserable. Only, this time, what he thought was that he just didn’t want to implicate Ning Qi.

He didn’t want Ning Qi to suffer Deng Jingwen’s wrath because of him.

He had always been useless—trash in the eyes of others. However, at the least, he didn’t need anyone to give up anything on his behalf. It was not worth it to give anything up for someone like him.

Xie He suddenly threw Ning Qi’s hand off. He stood in front of Ning Qi, back facing Deng Jingwen, and silently mouthed, “Thank you for liking me.”

He then raised his hands and gave Ning Qi a heavy slap while the other was still in shock! The crisp sound of the slap reverberated throughout the room.

Ning Qi was stunned from being hit. He could only look at the other dumbly.

The corner of Xie He’s red lips raised, and he used an icy voice, full of extreme disgust, to say, “I hate you the most. Please stop involving yourself with me, OK?! If something like this happens again, I’ll definitely get Dad to deal with you!”

After saying that, he turned around and hugged Deng Jingwen’s arm, speaking with a coquettish tone, “Dad...fortunately, you came in time. He wanted to harass me just now, ne!”

Deng Jingwen’s gaze shifted, and he looked at the boy with a profound expression, “Is that so? Do you need me to vent on your behalf?”

Xie He seemed to hesitate. After thinking about it, he said, “Leave it, ba. In any case, he didn’t succeed. He won’t dare to try again in the future too. Dad...let’s go back a bit earlier, OK...I don’t feel well....”

He blinked his eyes, revealing a pleading expression. His face was slightly flushed.

Deng Jingwen stared at him for a good, long moment and then suddenly chuckled. He bent his head down to kiss the boy.

Xie He didn’t think that he suddenly would kiss him, and it was in front of Ning Qi too! He instinctively wanted to dodge, but when he thought about how that would enrage Deng Jingwen, he could only endure! He didn’t move, allowing Deng Jingwen to kiss him. He even raised his head up cooperatively.

When Ning Qi saw this, he finally lost all rational thought. However, before he could get close, Deng Jingwen’s bodyguards had him pressed down against the floor, arms twisted behind him.

“Let him go, let him go! You beast! He’s your son!” Ning Qi’s voice was hoarse, and there was extremely pained fury in his eyes! He struggled with great force!

Deng Jingwen’s eyes became glacial, but he didn’t react. He only continued to kiss the boy, right until the boy softened into his arms, powerless. Only then did he princess-carry the boy and turn to look at Ning Qi, unhurried. He raised an eyebrow, eyes full of contempt, “So what?”

“You beast! You won’t have a good death!” Ning Qi glared at him with hate.

Xie He’s whole body was stiff. He didn’t dare go and persuade Ning Qi. He could only grab onto Deng Jingwen’s arm, quivering, and plead in a whisper, “Dad...when can we go back...? I don’t want to stay here...let’s go back, OK?”

Deng Jingwen narrowed his eyes. Under Xie He’s panicked and apprehensive gaze, he slowly agreed, “Alright.”

He carried Xie He and turned away. He didn’t give Ning Qi so much as a glance.

Xie He laid in the crook of Deng Jingwen’s arm. He turned his head slightly and gave Ning Qi a deep look before lowering his gaze. Right until they left, he didn’t say a thing.

Ning Qi watched helplessly as the boy disappeared from his line of sight. It felt like his heart had been excavated while he was still alive.

When he thought about the last words the boy had mouthed to him...it was...a thank you....

So, it turned out that the boy didn’t really hate him. He actually had a chance of being accepted. Originally, they could have happily gotten together...but in the end, Deng Jingwen destroyed it all. For his sake, the boy had even left with Deng Jingwen willingly.

He couldn’t help him. He couldn’t save him....

Actually, he was the most useless person ever. He couldn’t even protect his loved one.

Ning Qi clawed at the floor. Because he used too much strength, he left several trails of blood.

?Ding, Ning Qi’s Favourability Value +5. The current Favourability Value is 90.?

..................................................................

After returning home, Deng Jingwen carried the boy into his bedroom and threw him onto his bed.

Xie He’s eyes turned red. He stared at Deng Jingwen pitifully. He crawled up to pull at the other’s sleeve, “Daddy....”

Deng Jingwen did not move. He only stood there and gave him an icy look. A long time later, his thin lips quirked up, “Why didn’t you accept Ning Qi’s help?”

A flash of fear flickered very quickly through Xie He’s eyes. He showed a loathing expression, “I hate him. I like Dad...I only want Dad.”

Deng Jingwen fixed his eyes onto the boy. The boy’s ability to act was poor. With one glance, he could see through him.

However...he didn’t plan on exposing him.

Deng Jingwen raised the boy’s chin with his index finger and chuckled, “Are you sure?”

The boy nodded vigorously.

Xie He was then done until he passed out. When he woke up, he discovered that he was in Deng Jingwen’s arms.

Deng Jingwen used his fingertips to gently trace the curve of the boy’s cheek. He noticed the boy’s eyelashes fluttering and then used a low voice to ask, “You woke up?”

Xie He slowly opened his eyes and stared at him timidly, “Dad....”

Deng Jingwen looked at the boy serenely. No emotion could be seen within his black pupils. However, Deng Jingwen was very clear that he had lost control today. So long as he thought about how his boy had forced himself to smile and propositioned him all for the sake of protecting another man...he had no way of suppressing the fury inside his heart. He wanted to kill Ning Qi! Be that as it may, if he really did that, would the boy hate him for it? Therefore, he had only ordered his men to take Ning Qi back to the Ning Family....

After so many years, he had long since been used to having everything under his control. It was like nothing could stir up his emotions...However, during the last six months, he had felt so many emotions that he thought he didn’t have before and done things that even he recognized were laughable, all because of this boy.

This beautiful boy who he had raised single-handedly...had affected his emotions time and time again.

Originally, he was just a toy to relieve his boredom with. However, it seemed that he had underestimated just how much he cared about the boy—underestimated how important he was to him.

Deng Jingwen was not an indecisive person. Since he realized this, he made it so that the boy was thoroughly in his control. So long as he completely made him his own, it would be fine. When he thought about how he would have the boy to accompany him from now on, life no longer seemed so boring....

Nonetheless, if he wanted to make the boy completely his, he had to ensure that the boy would learn to love him. First...he had to make sure the boy stopped regarding him as his father.

The words Ning Qi had said in a fit of rage made Deng Jingwen finally unable to continue ignoring this matter. In some people’s eyes, Deng Zhuo was only his son. Although he had never cared about what other people thought, he could not let this become an obstacle between him and his boy. He could not let the boy continue to deceive himself and hold any sort of wishful thinking.

He hoped that the boy could one day publicly stand by his side—not as his son but as his lover.

When he thought of this, he could not constrain his anticipation.

Deng Zhuo, this rare, unrivalled beauty, was his.

?Ding, the target, Deng Jingwen’s Favourability Value +4. The current Favourability Value is 88.?

Deng Jingwen kissed the boy. He gently but unquestionably pried open the boy’s mouth and wantonly kissed him. The boy very quickly found it difficult to breath, and a layer of mist appeared in his eyes, body shaking in Deng Jingwen’s arms.

Deng Jingwen felt tenderness bubble up. Perhaps he should treat the boy a bit more gently.

Just a bit. He couldn’t let his heart soften again.

Deng Jingwen released his hold on the boy and smiled, “From now on, you’re going to move into my room.”

Xie He gazed at him questioningly, “Why...?”

Deng Jingwen raised an eyebrow, a faint smile on his lips, “Because, my biological son will soon return.”

He watched as the boy’s face turned deathly white in an instant and continued speaking as if this was nothing major, “So, your room...your everything should go back to their rightful owner.”

“Anyway, it doesn’t matter,” Deng Jingwen looked at him, eyes carrying a hint of doting affection as he gave the boy’s forehead a soft kiss, “So long as you listen to me, I will give you even more.”

?444?Didn’t he die?! ?( ° ?°|||)??

?Xie He?Baby, I’ve monitored him all this time through you. Didn’t you see it yourself??

?444?......?Guilty......_(:???)_

?Xie He?Luckily, you’re not my employee. :)?His expectations towards his pet were not too high.

?444?I’m sorry, yingyingying. QAQ?

?Xie He?From a long time ago, Deng Jingwen was looking into what had happened that year. His thought process is the same as mine. That year, that woman was a little nurse at the hospital. It’s a very difficult thing to find a very similar infant, who was born at the same time as his son, via other channels to do the switch. However, it’s much more simple to just swap another infant who was born at the same hospital on the same day. Moreover, it’d be very hush hush. At that time, she only said it to upset Deng Jingwen as revenge. However, with Deng Jingwen’s brains, he had very quickly thought of this. He only needed to do a quick search of the other babies born on that day, and he will be able to very easily find out the whereabouts of his real son.?

?444?Then, what are we going to do now? QAQ?

?Xie He?Baby, isn’t your worry a little late? Deng Jingwen already found his son three months ago.?

Oh, hehehe, scene of bloody slaughter!
