Chapter 123: If You Lose, I Want You Dead!
“Master Yan? Are you there? Lou Qianxue has killed someone at the banquet, and she has created a conflict with Young Master. Please take a look!” The servant outside didn’t hear any movement in the room, so he shouted again.
Master Yan’s expression changed, and he looked at the scarlet-masked young man. “Something’s up with Qing Er. I need to go and have a look. I will tell you about my teacher later.”
The scarlet-masked young man scoffed. “Trying to play tricks on me? Fine, I’ll play along. Let’s see what you have up your sleeves!”
Master Yan had not understood what those words meant when the scarlet-masked young man put his dagger away. He smiled in a sly way. “Let’s go, I’ll accompany you to see your talented grandson.”
“You...”
“What! Are you not worried about your grandson anymore?” The scarlet-masked young man made Master Yan shut up out of anger.
Master Yan took a few steps forward and opened the door. Then, he walked in the direction of the banquet.
The scarlet-masked young man followed along and nonchalantly spoke. “Lou Qianxue? This name sounds so familiar.”
“Master, she’s the person who caused us to lose three bronze-masked killers. She has the protection of a master from the Mystic Martial realm. I have already informed the Mo Family to increase the price to five million.” an assassin appeared from god knows where and explained.
“Oh? Is that so?” A tinge of interest appeared in the amorous eyes of the scarlet-masked youth.
At the banquet, Yan Gongqing yelled, “Lou Qianxue, how dare you look down on an alchemist?” Lou Qianxue’s words had offended him, and he was so angry that his expression looked scary.
“Is there a problem with your brain? When did I say that I looked down on alchemists?” Lou Qianxue’s eyes became increasingly cold. There was no contempt on her cold and beautiful face, but her tone made it sound like she was sneering. Therefore, people interpreted it as how they saw it, and some got angry. Lu Qianxue continued, “I only look down on you, a mere second-grade alchemist, for showing off your powers here.”
A mere second-grade alchemist!
Yan Gongqing’s eyes were red as if he were about to rush up to kill Lou Qianxue the next moment. He glared at her and said, “Did you say that I’m merely a second-grade alchemist? Do you mean that in alchemy, you are better than a second-grade alchemist?”
“I’m just average,” Lou Qianxue said modestly. “But against you, it’s more than enough!”
Everyone widened their eyes in disbelief.
“Geez, is Lou Qianxue nuts? She is someone who can’t even refine her flame core, and she claims to be better than Young Master Yan.”
“Has she gone delusional? She is willing to do anything just for attention?”
“Or perhaps she has been hiding her cultivation level all this time? Could she already be at the ninth level of the Spiritual realm?”
“Nonsense! She has only cultivated for a month. How could she reach that level? Moreover, even if she did reach it, she has only just encountered the art of alchemy. How could she defeat the alchemy genius, Young Master Yan?”
“Right... but seeing that confident look on her, I almost believed it!”
“Against me, more than enough?” Yan Gongqing sarcastically laughed. “Sure. Then trash, do you dare to battle with me in alchemy? If you win, I will kneel and call you Grandpa!”
“Don’t.” Lou Qianxue waved. “I’m not a man and I’m not that old either. I don’t need you to call me your Grandpa. How about this—if you lose, you will kneel and slap yourself ten times!”
“Sure!” A vicious glow shone in Yan Gongqing’s eyes. “But if you lose, I want you dead!”
Lou Qianxue scoffed. She felt like she was too benevolent for only asking him to slap himself ten times.
“Sure. Then, how shall we fight it out?”
