Chapter 230 Patel Family
Chapter 230 Patel Family
Sitting cross legged on the bed in his guest room, Blaze Regret savored the information provided by Kartis Wave and gently pursed his lips.
"Reportedly, the Patel family in Bloodstone Pass obtained a seed of the Ghostly Fragrant Grass a year ago, and the location where it was found is in the Black Nether Abyss. If I visit the Patel family tomorrow, I will naturally learn more." Blaze Regret smiled.
Although he didn't know why Kartis Wave was in Bloodstone Pass, the information he provided was extremely useful. The materials needed for refining the Heart Calming Pill and information about the Black Nether Abyss were all things Blaze Regret urgently needed to know.
"Roar!"

Lying at Blaze Regret's feet, Red weakly wagged its fluffy tail, looking tired.
"Sleep now. We'll have something to do tomorrow."
Blaze Regret laid out his bedding and then lazily lay down, looking content. It had been a long time since he felt this comfortable. In Hildan Town, even sleeping at night, he had to worry about being stealthily killed by spirit hunters or spirit beasts.
The night quietly passed.
The next morning, at dawn.
For some reason, Bloodstone Pass was particularly restless today. Early in the morning, Blaze Regret was awakened by the bustling voices of people.
"What's going on?" Blaze Regret frowned and pushed open the wooden window. He saw several figures wearing the same clothes darting anxiously through the streets below.
"I heard that Patel Rong, the head of the Patel family, has had a relapse of his old injury. This time, it's particularly severe, and he might not make it through."
The faintly overheard words instantly dispelled Blaze Regret's drowsiness, a trace of urgency flashing in his eyes. According to Kartis Wave, the seed of the Ghostly Fragrant Grass was in Patel Rong's possession. If something happened to him, who knows when Blaze Regret would be able to find information about the Ghostly Fragrant Grass again.
Dressing as quickly as possible, Blaze Regret placed the still drowsy Red on his shoulder, then hurried out of his room. After settling all his bills, he quickly stepped out of the inn.
A quick scan of the surroundings revealed numerous figures in gray clothing pasting papers on the streets. Approaching one of them, Blaze Regret saw that they were looking for alchemists.
"The minimum requirement is a Grade Two Alchemist. What kind of injury did Patel Rong sustain?" Blaze Regret murmured to himself.
Grade Two Alchemists were rare even in velorian City, let alone in Bloodstone Pass, which was of significantly lower overall strength. Finding a Grade Two Alchemist here would be extremely difficult.
"May I ask, what kind of injury did Master Patel Rong sustain?" Blaze Regret asked a nearby Patel family member in a low voice.
"Who do you think you are, calling our master's name so casually?" The young Patel family member, seeing Blaze Regret's youthful face, immediately showed signs of impatience, his tone unkind.
"Patel kin, the young man is just asking a question. No need to get so worked up." Another Patel family member quickly intervened, pulling Patel kin aside and offering Blaze Regret an apologetic smile.
"Young man, you must be new to Bloodstone Pass and unaware of certain matters. Our master was bitten by a Fire Refining Snake in the Black Nether Abyss a year ago and was poisoned. Only a Grade Two elixir, the Water Resonance Pill, can cure him."
"But although this elixir is classified as Grade Two, it is extremely difficult to refine. Even after spending a fortune to hire several Grade Two Alchemists, the Water Resonance Pill still hasn't been successfully made."
Hearing this, Blaze Regret nodded. So that's how it was.
While he didn't possess the formula for the Water Resonance Pill, he had heard of its reputation. This elixir was known as a Grade Two elixir that only a Grade Three Alchemist could successfully refine. No wonder Patel Rong's snake venom couldn't be purged.
"Patel Shin, why are you wasting time talking to him?" Patel kin glanced at Blaze Regret with clear disdain in his voice.
"Can I give it a try?" Blaze Regret ignored Patel kin and instead smiled at Patel Shin.
"You?" Patel kin sneered and shook his head. These days, it seems like anyone dares to pretend to be an alchemist.
"Young man, are you an alchemist?" Unlike Patel kin, Patel Shin's eyes lit up with excitement.
Without saying a word, Blaze Regret opened his palm and gave it a slight shake. A pale yellow flame emerged with a soft "whoosh," its energy more potent than that of an ordinary Grade Two Alchemist.
Seeing the flame in Blaze Regret's hand, Patel kin was stunned into silence, his face full of disbelief. In the next moment, fear crept into his heart damn it, this guy really is an alchemist!
Even without knowing Blaze Regret's exact grade, just the fact that he was an alchemist meant he wasn't someone a mere Patel family member like Patel kin could afford to offend. Everyone knew how much trouble offending an alchemist could bring.
"Young man, what grade of alchemist are you?" Patel Shin asked, still stunned but overjoyed.
"Grade Two. I can try refining the Water Resonance Pill. Perhaps I might succeed." Blaze Regret replied with a calm smile.
"Young... Master, please follow me." Patel Shin respectfully bowed and gestured for Blaze Regret to follow him towards the Patel family residence.
"No need to be so formal. Just call me Blaze Regret." Blaze Regret said, waving his hand dismissively as he walked.
"Very well, Blaze Regret. I apologize for any offense." Patel Shin walked beside Blaze Regret, his eyes brimming with joy. Building a good relationship with an alchemist could bring immense benefits, an opportunity he had never encountered before.
Even the lowest Grade One Alchemist wouldn't usually spare him a glance. The prestige and arrogance of alchemists were well known across the continent.
"Damn it!" Patel kin bit his lip, looking at Patel Shin with envy and jealousy. If only he had treated Blaze Regret with a bit more respect, he might have had this opportunity instead of Patel Shin.
