Chapter 8: First Day!
"Have a safe journey, Master."
As Lara along with the other maids bowed in unison to bid farewell, the carriage set off for the main building of Pristine Academy.
Sitting inside the carriage was a single man in his teens and sharp emerald eyes, Seth Albeck.
The Academy wasn't much far apart but royalties have to be flashy whatever they do and so Seth was following the custom
'Fuck… I am shaking… '
Seth's hands were trembling slightly in nervousness since the place he was going had various people who know him quite well and also had some who wanted nothing but to gouge out his life.
He didn't have practiced his skills much but from the knowledge of his previous life and what he has naturally learned in the body, there are some of the things Seth is now certain about.
There are a total of 8 tiers in magic. Seth had the prowess of Second-Tier skill names [Psychic].
There are some sick features of this skill along with 'Psychokinesis' and 'Mind Manipulation' but these kinds of high-level skills are yet to be unlocked.
Originally, Seth becomes so obsessed with destroying Arata that he loses focus on strengthening himself and accessing his dormant potential.
'I have to get some time off to learn everything from scratch… '
Instilling a mental note, Seth got out of the carriage while carrying his bag in hand. Since it was half an hour earlier than commencement, the school was almost empty.
The five-storey building which was spread across the land and can accommodate thousands of students appeared in front of his vision.
Walking inside the main entrance, the first place he had to visit was the Council Office which was on the top floor.
Not everyone was allowed on that floor since there are mostly offices of faculties and the chamber of the headmaster along with the Student Council.
"Good morning, Teacher."
"Ah, Seth. As diligent as ever huh."
Seth greeted the professors who passed by and maintained his image of being an idol student.
His eyes looked for a specific professor too but unfortunately, Seth's wish wasn't fulfilled as he made his way to his office.
Turning the door knob he walked inside before a reverberation of greetings echoed from the inside.
""Good morning, President. "
"Hmm."
Humming in response, Seth walked across the office which had long desks arranged by the wall the center passage led to the big table belonging to none other.
There were a total of sixteen people sitting on either side with the first seat on the left acquired by the Vice-President and so on according to their posts.
Celia was also present but unlike others, she was standing beside the head seat, waiting for Seth's arrival.
As Seth took his seat, everyone else also sat down and continued their work.
There were a lot of files on Seth's desk and pending work piled up but he didn't have any mind to touch them at the moment.
He casually opened the file in front as he spoke to Celia in a low tone.
"Inform the professors that I won't be attending classes today. "
Seth had various things to learn and confirm and for that he needed time. And since it wasn't new for Council members to be absent from classes for work, Celia wasn't surprised much.
"Understood. "
There was a folder of Budget Report and Plans too but Seth's gaze fell on the small envelope resting beside the file.
Celia's glanced at Seth as he picked up the envelope but she stayed silent and walked away to do the job she was ordered to.
The envelope was white in shade with a small ribbon at front. There was no scent or other decoration on the envelope even tho it wasn't an official letter.
Seth's heartbeat rose as he realized who this letter was from and how much the sender mattered to the previous Seth.
The person because of whom the original Seth started to target Arata and the person for whom Seth has always been crazy about.
His fiancee. Laila.
'So it's already that time huh… '
