Many people subconsciously clicked on the task quickly to check the specific details, but after seeing the details, they couldn’t help but rub their own eyes. They found it hard to believe, not because the task was too difficult, but because this task… was too simple!
Yes! It was just too simple! Eliminating the Shadow Deaths, wiping out the Devil Pirates, getting rid of two of the three largest pirate gangs in the interstellar; was it hard? It surely was! But look at what this difficulty is relative to. If it’s relative to 100 billion star credits, then I can tell you straight that it isn’t hard! Isn’t it just about wiping out two pirate gangs? You should know how much bounty is hanging on those two pirate gangs!
Add to that, if they can take down these two pirate gangs, they could even gain plenty of benefits from the Federation’s official organization. They were mercenaries, their status might not be praiseworthy, but it’s definitely better than being a pirate! At least they can openly appear within the scope of the Federation’s territories.
So after seeing the mission, everyone went crazy. Countless communication devices began activating their mercenary troops, and the entire mercenary world began to boil. Whether they were large mercenary groups, or small mercenary groups, everyone started to go mad.
Because within the 100 billion star credits reward, it was divided into several parts. For example, if you destroy the bases of these two pirate gangs, you would get a third of the entire 100 billion. If you destroy the main fleets of these two interstellar pirate gangs, you would get another third of the 100 billion. The last third, was dedicated to individual bounty rewards.
In a nutshell, as long as you’re lucky, even if you just killed one person belonging to the two interstellar pirate gangs, congratulations, you can claim a portion of the star credits here. Although the amount for killing one person isn’t much, it’s definitively not a small amount either.
Then there’s the last part, you can get an additional 30 billion star credits if you ruin the pirates’ bases and manage to free the Federation civilians, slaves, etc., who were held captive inside.
This quest was optional, but if this task was also taken into account, it meant the total value of the task could peak at 130 billion star credits! The whole task was naturally prepared by Luna Starfield, screened by Finn Lewis, and finally approved by him. Only a measly 130 billion star credits? Mr. Lewis’s ring had Roberts Coins worth thousands of billions of star credits in it.
This was no big deal, so Finn Lewis decided without hesitation. When Jasmine Davis saw this task appearing on the Mercenary Association, she was dumbstruck and blurted out, “You are insane, utterly insane.”
“Do you have a mercenary group?” Finn Lewis asked Jasmine Davis.
“What do you mean?” Jasmine Davis was stunned and couldn’t help but ask.
“I mean if you have registered a mercenary group, if so, then we can claim back some of this money ourselves,” Finn Lewis casually replied.
“Yes.” Jasmine Davis paused a moment then quickly responded. In fact, there was not a defined boundary between pirates and mercenaries. Many small mercenary groups might actually be a front for a pirate gang.
“How do you know?” After answering, Jasmine Davis couldn’t help but ask.
“It’s not hard to guess, pirates often betray each other right? And the Mercenary Association has the most bounties on different pirate groups. So while stabbing each other in the back, picking up a bounty along the way wouldn’t be bad, right?” Finn Lewis nonchalantly said. It was something he had just guessed. It wasn’t hard guess, was it?
“Alright, I’ve accepted the task, but we can’t possibly take down the opponent, let alone beat their fleet.” Jasmine Davis replied with a trace of helplessness.
“You don’t have to worry about that, just wait to receive the money.” Finn Lewis said with a smile.
After he finished speaking, Finn Lewis asked Luna Starfield, “Luna, contact a person named Tobia for me.”
“Contact initiated, estimated to be connected in thirty seconds,” Luna quickly replied.
“Okay.” Finn Lewis nodded and quietly waited for the communication to be established. Jasmine Davis wanted to ask something, but she didn’t ask in the end. The call was quickly picked up, and the person who appeared on the screen was surprised when he saw Finn Lewis, “Mr. Lewis?”
“It’s me. I have a business proposition with you.” Finn Lewis simply said.
“Uh, Mr. Lewis, if you have anything to say, please tell me. If it is urgent, we may not be able to execute it immediately, as all the fleets of our mercenary group are currently gathering, including all personnel, for a large mission. So, we might not be able to accept any commissions right now. Of course, if Mr. Lewis doesn’t require too many of us, we can still accept.” Tobia immediately said.
“Trust me, it’s to your advantage. You guys are all gathering for that 100 billion star credits task, right?” Finn Lewis said with a smirk.
“Mr. Lewis knows? Or does Mr. Lewis’s visit also have something to do with this?” Tobia quickly responded.
“That task was initiated by me.” Finn Lewis plainly said.
Tobia couldn’t help but gasp, “A task initiated by Mr. Lewis?” To initiate such a task, the money must be directly deposited into the account of the Mercenary Association first. The bounty was so big that even the official fleet of the Mercenary Association itself couldn’t resist getting in on the action!
“What does Mr. Lewis mean?” Tobia quickly recovered.
“Nothing much, I just want to give you the coordinates and information of their main fleet. Luna, transfer their fleet information over.” Finn Lewis said, straightforwardly.
“Yes, Your Highness,” Luna replied promptly.
Tobia quickly received the coordinates and information passed by Finn Lewis, information that wasn’t included in the original task.
“You will have two days to prepare. After two days, the task will update with their fleet information,” Finn Lewis said plainly.
“Thank you, Mr. Lewis,” Tobia paused for a moment, then nodded and expressed thanks.
“That’s it then.” After saying that, Finn Lewis cut off the communication. After boarding the Peach Blossom, Luna gave him the answer. There’s no need for Finn Lewis to worry about being chased by enemies in the next week or two. They won’t be able to catch him that easily, especially after Finn Lewis provided a large number of energy lots.
