Morning next day, Ninth Prince's Manor.

"Your highness... All the available half-step Bone Cultivators are here in response to your summon. We humbly request your presence in this square." Huang Ping said as he knocked on the door to Sun Wu Jian's office three times.

It remained quiet. This made Huang Ping slightly nervous as he had no idea what was in Sun Wu Jian's mind.

"What do you think about Commander Huang Ping's word? Can they be trusted?" some of the half-step Bone Cultivators asked as they exchanged their opinion with one another. As someone facing trouble to advance their cultivation, the news about an alchemy's breakthrough cannot be taken lightly.

The reason behind this is likely because it might create a revolution in the alchemy world. And in this world, there won't be a single cultivator that will be uninterested in a piece of news like this.

Furthermore, coming up with a new pill that aids them in cultivation will also contribute to their cause to overcome the threat from the Yao Beast.

"I have less faith if you want me to answer honestly, but I'll choose to believe Alchemist Qin's word! Didn't all of you already witness the miraculous skill of the Chief Alchemist?" someone speaks out as they're waiting for Sun Wu Jian to come out.

The door to Sun Wu Jian's office is opened as the prince stepped out with a letter in his hand. There was a distinct "Qin" word on top of the envelope, which means this letter has indeed come from Qin's Faction.

"Everyone, allow this ninth prince to thank all of you that willing to come here from a mere summon of mine," said Sun Wu Jian as he cupped his fist and bowed to the experts before him.

"Your highness!" everyone else returned the gesture with more respect than before. To the experts, it was already an honor to be summoned by their lord.

"I believe that everyone here is impatient about what kind of breakthrough our Chief Alchemist had in his alchemy achievement. And right here, I am happy to share this with all of you."

"Blood Genesis Pill." Sun Wu Jian suddenly mentioned the name of a pill nobody has heard before.

"This is what our Chief Alchemist created. He's currently outside of the Demon Mountain Fortress, looking for the ingredients while we're speaking here right now."

"As long we managed to obtain the few crucial resources to refine this Blood Genesis Pill, entering the Bone Reconstruction Layer will be just a month away!" Sun Wu Jian announced. His word immediately caught all the experts by surprise as he mentioned the keyword.

"Just one month for all half-step Bone Experts here to advance into the first-level?" they're both surprised and excited.

"Mountain Splitting Strike!" Qin Lan's energy sword stabs deep into the Yao Beast. At the same time, he was holding an empty wine jar in the other hand and secured the blood oozing out from the wound.

"Roar!" the Yao Beast cried in horror. The stinger that bulged up into a morning star hammered the ground relentlessly in its attempt to force Qin Lan to a retreat.

But Qin Lan was like a blood-sucking leech. Changing from one wine jar to another, he only stops when the blood flowing out started to slow down on the third jar.

The process was repeated a few times until the Yao Beast was hugely weakened by Qin Lan from extracting most of its blood while it is still alive. Soon, when the creature no longer has value to its existence, Qin Lan delivered a killing blow to ends its misery.

'Are there more further inside this mine?' Qin Lan chuckled as he stored the corpse of the Yao Beast into his spatial jade and went deeper inside.

"Are you still going to keep hiding?" Zhang Qin Feng said before he went ahead into one of the few tunnels. From how he speaks, it seems he has caught the sneaky rat peeking on him for quite some time.

Peng Yan soon walked out from the tunnel where he came after she was exposed by Qin Lan. A hint of blush is still on her cheeks as she walked over to Qin Lan's side and gives his sleeve a tug.

Undisturbed, the two of them walked further into the mine.

"By the way... What is that Yao Beast? To think it was so beautiful despite its insectoid appearance..." Peng Yan asked.

"This Yao Beast is known as the Bloodstone Scorpion. They're like the cousin of the Crimson Flame Scorpion but larger in size and strength." Qin Lan answered. He did not proceed to hold Peng Yan's hand, but walking like this with her side by side still make their journey inside this damp and dark tunnel enjoyable to a certain extent.

"If I know we'll be exploring a place like this, I'll ask my father for one of the tiny Night Glowing Spirit Stone..." Peng Yan pouted as she found it hard for her to get a clear look at her surrounding. But even if she was given the stone, it will be mainly used by her to have fun anyway.

And in reply to her words, Qin Lan took one of the Night Glowing Pearl out from his spatial jade.

"Oh my god! What is this!!!" Peng Yan was stunned by the beauty of the Night Glowing Pearl in Qin Lan's hand. It was a mesmerizing sight to someone that never seen such a beautiful glow on a pearl about the size of an adult's fist.

Qin darling... What is this? I want to have one too..." Peng Yan shook the sleeve she's tugging and acted cutely in front of this man her interest lies. It never crossed her mind that such a treasure could actually appear in a rural place like this.

"Night Glowing Pearl. I don't think you can get another one in this continent." Qin Lan smiled as he replied to her question. None of his words is exaggerating because the producer of this pearl, the Nightlord Oyster, is by right a being above the level of Spiritual Root Yao Beast.

"Then... This..." she continues to pout as her eyes stay on the Night Glowing Pearl.

"I can't give you think... But I'll give you something else in the future if you obediently stop harassing me in public." Qin Lan said as he suddenly moved the Night Glowing Pearl in a specific direction.

"What happened?" Peng Yan asked.

"Stand back." Qin Lan moved his hand back and had Peng Yan took a few steps backward. With a hint of Formation Qi gathering around his fist, Qin Lan gave the wall a hard punch as he forced one of the hiding scorpions to reveal itself.

But what comes out next was a swarm of Crimson Flame Scorpions with two smaller-sized Bloodstone Scorpions.

The two of them were immediately ambushed by the incoming attack from over twenty scorpions hiding behind that empty space behind that wall.

"Qin Darling, what are we going to do?" Peng Yan retaliates. With the strength of both of them, it wasn't a problem for them to overcome the Yao Beasts. But for them to do it without getting injured will be likely difficult to achieve.

"Put this on yourself. Focus on the weaker scorpions and leave the bigger one to me." Qin Lan flicked a piece of Demonic Amulet to Peng Yan and charged forward.

"Qiankun Golden Sword!" Qin Lan attacked without using any fanciful sword techniques. And still, his attack was as deadly as when he's using them. Close to five Crimson Flame Scorpions is cut into half as he approaches one of the two Bloodstone Scorpions.

'He's going forward to suck the scorpion's blood again?' Peng Yan's eyes opened wide as she watches how fast Qin Lan moves. If she were to repeat what she had done around Qin Lan last time, its likely be taken out by him in a flash before she noticed.

And just like what she guessed, Qin Lan was extracting the blood from the Bloodstone Scorpion openly. He was no different from a bloodsucker that came in for the sake of sucking them dry.

"Light Amulet, active!" Peng Yan activated the amulet Qin Lan gave her. A sphere of light instantly appeared around her and blinded the scorpions with sensitive sight. A few even cried in pain as the light hurts their eyes.

'Chances is here! Die for me!' Peng Yan stabs her sword into one of the Crimson Flame Scorpions before moving to her next target. The twenty or so scorpions were quickly disposed of by them without too much trouble. But their body was still lacerated with injuries here and there due to the restricted space inside this tunnel.

"Come here and take this pill." Qin Lan gave her a Flesh Mending Pill to recover herself, along with an Essence Transformation Pill.

"Is this the pill that all of you use when we're fighting on the Ten Miles Plain?" Peng Yan asked. She was once again shocked by the instantaneous medicinal effect that kicks in less than a minute after taking it.

"Correct. That's the Essence Transformation Pill, also came from my hand." Qin Lan nodded while he collected the corpses and went to the wall to removes some of the Fire Elemental Bloodstone.

"Now I know how you overcome us with an army three times smaller than us..." Peng Yan said. A thought was running across her mind as she thinks about what kind of warfare wonder she could create with a few treasured pills from Qin Lan's hand.

"Qin Darling..." like she found enlightenment in her mind, she called out to Qin Lan while he was still busy knocking down the walls.

"Yes?" Qin Lan turned around and looking at her.

"I'll trust you," she said.
