Chapter 187: Debut of the Crimson Mist Army (Upper Part)

Following the other two battlefields in the number of soldiers deployed, Qin Lan led five thousand soldiers with him. He was seated in the middle-end of the army of five thousand, on top of a carriage pulled by two red stallions.

Out of the five thousand soldiers divided into five units, four of them were wearing a crimson-colored cloak on their back, as if it represents something extraordinary.

Only the unit protecting Qin Lan was wearing the uniform of regular soldiers. But their strength cannot be underestimated as the weakest amongst them is a Peak-Leveled Flesh Refining Expert. There are even a few second-level Bone Reconstruction Experts serving Qin Lan as his Squadron Leaders.

"Move forward! Let us slaughter our opponents like we always did. In this battle, we will be the first to finish the fight before the other two battlefields did!" Zhu Tingyi said as he commands his battalion of five thousand soldiers to move forward.

"What kind of battle will the two show us?" the elder from the Royal Family approached the elder on a white-feathered crane unobtrusively. He also seems to be highly interested in Qin Lan.

"Commander, we're ready to go at any time." Lu Yi, Lu Qing Yun, Huo Zunjie kneeled before Qin Lan. Beside them were Expert Yi, Xie, and Shun. The three experts were one of the few that managed to break through into the second-level Bone Reconstruction Layer after using the Blood Genesis Pill.

"No need to be nervous. Just take it easy and follow my advice. Lu Yi, you'll take the first unit. Qing Yun will stay with me on the fourth unit. As for Huo Zunjie and three experts, please take the 2nd and 3rd units and move forward with Lu Yi."

"Flagbearers! Echelon Flag, first flag, and second flag!" Qin Lan's orders were simple and easy to understand. The banner is used as the medium for their long-range communication. They stand for Unit one, Unit two, and Echelon Formation.

In a flash, the command issued by Qin Lan arrived as the two units immediately positioned themselves even before their unit captain takes control.

"Unit 1 Captain is in position!"

"Unit 2 Captain is in position!"

"Move on! Echelon Formation!"

The two units move out in tandem as they prepare to strike Zhu Tingyi's three thousand men from two sides.

But as an experienced commander that fought numerous battle on the west of Wei, how can Zhu Tingyi not know what Qin Lan was trying to do?

"Blow the horn! I want them to shift into double spearhead formations and struck both enemy units at once! Tear apart their echelon formation and separates them into four smaller groups!" Zhu Tingyi ordered.

With the center unit separates into both the left and the right, their strength would be increased to 1,500 men strong. That will be more than enough for him to cut across his opponent's formation that focusing on a sweeping attack.

A Spiritual Energy Shield that looked like the shell of a turtle appeared before them. This eventually gives Qin Lan's soldiers more confidence to engage in a fight against their opponents.

The outermost of both left and right were the first to collide first.

And the collision was extraordinary because nothing went like what Zhu Tingyi assume it to be. Armed with the Thorn Talisman as they fought, the outermost engagement soon spreads into the center as Qin Lan's two Echelon Formation latched themselves on the spearhead.

"What the hell is this?" Zhu Tingyi shouted.

He's still asking why the spearhead formation would fell to a basic echelon formation. It was supposed to be as easy as trying to break a chopstick into two by attacking the middle.

"That idiot must be getting really angry right now." across the battlefield, Qin Lan was laughing.

"He should take this as a lesson because hitting you in a straight line doesn't mean it's as stiff as a chopstick. Sometimes, a whip can sweep you as has as a stick does." Qin Lan chuckled.

"Lu Qing Yun!"

Qin Lan shouted their names.

"Yes, commander."

"Move forward and strike our opponent's commanding unit with all you have!" Qin Lan ordered.
