"I change my mind.

None of you are leaving this place."

Nux spoke. His voice, mixed with his energy, sent shivers down the mercenaries' spines.

Well, at least the ones with weak minds. As for the others...

"You are right, none of us are leaving without killing you and finding wherever the hell you sent those women.

Don't worry, though, me and my buddies here would definitely enjoy ourselves."

The 'ugly one' spoke.

He had seen how Nux had killed one of them. He had also been observing Vrakor's expression as he conversed with this monster. It wasn't hard for him to sense that Vrakor was intimidated. It wasn't just Vrakor; the rest of the party was intimidated as well.

Even if the likelihood of his party sacrificing him here just because one man told them to was low, he didn't wish to take any chances.

Therefore, he attacked first.

From the very beginning, he had an inkling that even his arrow might not be able to hurt this man. However, that man wasn't his target. It was that woman behind him.

This man seemed to care a lot about those women, so he decided to use that to his advantage. His plan was simple: target those women, anger the man, and turn this into an unsalvageable situation where his party would be forced to get involved.

This was also the reason he stressed 'me and my buddies' more when he said those words.

He actually aimed to kill that woman, but unfortunately, she survived.

Not that it mattered. With how the man reacted, it seemed that his plan had worked. The other three Primordials glanced at him. They could tell what he was trying to do. After all, he was the crafty one in the party. They were all familiar with his ways.

What about Nux? Could he not understand what this man's intention was? Of course, he could.

But it simply didn't matter.

This matter had long risen above testing his strength.

Vyriana was hurt, and Nux could tell that even though most of the damage was absorbed, her injuries were worse.

Both her arms, which she had used to block the attack at the last second, were

vaporized. Her face was burned, and her life was hanging by a thread.

Yes, she was in that state even though Nux had negated most of the damage. That attack...

It would have vaporized Vyriana from existence if he hadn't reacted.

Just that thought horrified Nux to his core.

And after fear, rage took over.

Nux glanced at the 'ugly man.'

"An Etheryn."

He muttered.

He had realized what this 'being' was when he saw those grotesque features: translucent, gummy skin glowing faintly with patterns of blue, violet, and green energies. Elongated, asymmetrical head, deep-set glowing eyes, slightly hunched, spindly body, long and thin, twisted limbs, and those filament-like strands around his head that flickered softly, giving him an ethereal yet unsettling aura.

Those features belonged to an Etheryn.

Nux knew that. He just didn't care.

However, the very fact that Nux knew about this man's race told two things:

Either his knowledge came from the memories of the mercenaries he had killed in Nexus or from the information he had gained from the Lowest Level Worlds he had devoured.

Or...

It came from Umbrasol.

And the two were very different.

The first one meant that he was one of the many random races that were present all over the Universe, but the latter...

The races Umbrasol reacted with were anything but simple.

And...

Etheryn, the race this man belonged to, was one of those not-so-simple races.

Unfortunately, they came from a Middle Level World, so their potential wasn't explored to its fullest extent. Since they had already submitted to Supreme Level Worlds, no other worlds could outright kill their Progenitor and create a new Progenitor connected to a High Level World to explore their abilities further.

Of course, this didn't mean Etheryn was weak. There was a reason they were able to directly connect themselves to a Supreme World and not a High Level World like how it usually happens.

These beings were born archers.

Despite coming from a Middle Level World, their numbers didn't exceed a hundred thousand. Not because they were massacred or something like that, but because their World, Drelthar, only created a few of them.

They were Elites.

Elites from a Middle Level World with abilities that surpassed many and impressed even the Supreme Worlds.

Innate Accuracy, Voidstring Archery, Voidstep, Astral Anchoring, Piercing Reality, not to mention their Law, The Law of Celestial Precision.

Everything about them screamed superiority.

Honestly, Nux was even surprised that he found one of these beings in this place. He

wondered why he was here.

And now, he finally had the answer.

'Must be his rotten personality. He might have offended a higher-up.

Nux observed the party in front of him. Well, mainly the 4 Primordials. The others didn't

matter.

A being from a High Level World with a weak Bloodline, an Elite from a Middle Level World who is on the run, and two others, who despite not being as special as the other

two, were still strong.

"That's quite a party they've got here.'

He thought inwardly.

By now, his anger was caged in and was replaced by his frightening calm.

He was facing Primordials. If he lost himself in anger like his enemy wanted him to, it

could be fatal.

Not to mention these beings weren't simple either. They had worked together for thousands of years now. Their teamwork would be nothing short of excellent.

"You are quite knowledgeable."

The Etheryn grinned.

He glanced at his allies, and with his initial plan a success, he said,

"You should already know where this is going, no?

A battle cannot be avoided.

If we wish to get out of this alive, we need to get rid of him.

And don't forget,"

The Etheryn's eyes glowed.

"We cannot let him escape."

*Etheryn*

A/N: This is the picture of the entire race, the one in the blue who is also the closest is

'the ugly one' who hurt Vyriana.
