Chapter 336: Clean out (2)

Survivors of the Earth were people with a vast amount of knowledge. They weren’t all that brilliant, but they were raised with advanced education of the past. With the promise of huge benefits, some survivors sided with the Alliance and shared their knowledge. This solved the mystery of the strength of the Empire. The truth behind Emperor Joonbum’s legendary tales was unraveled.

Count Vince got up from his seat and while some glanced over at him, he walked out of the meeting area.

‘These idiots. They still do not realize how dangerous it is to side against the Empire. There should be tens of spies from the Empire in that meeting room already. I am not going to fall here.’

Vince quickly left the K-Mart and got up on his horse carriage.

“Let’s go back quickly. Don’t stop alright? Leave, fast!”

The horse carriage began moving. Vince knew that he couldn’t risk staying behind at the headquarter no longer. And he had a sudden hunch that it felt very dangerous to stay. He felt like Khalodian Empire will appear at any moment and strike them while they were least suspecting.

Suddenly, the area around became dark. Vince felt his hair rising over his skin. It was still daytime, but he couldn’t see why it was so dark. He then looked out from the carriage.

“D… dra…. DRAGON!!”

It was a giant dragon flying past him over the sky.

‘It’s impossible to hunt that kind of monster! Those idiots!’

Vince then turned back toward where the dragon had flown.

‘Wait…’

At that moment, a large wall of flame poured out from the dragon’s mouth. Everything in its path began melting, leaving nothing in its path.

Vince moaned. Soon, all that was left in the area was just searing lands. The giant dragon began to fly away toward the Great Forest. Vince gasped. He then turned down at the nothingness that was left behind where the K-Mart building had been.

‘Is… is this a warning?’

This surely was a warning. There had never been once that humans were attacked by giant dragons that flew over the land. There was no reason for the first attack of such dragons to be pinpointed at the core of a group of humans plotting to attack these dragons.

Count Vince mumbled, “This is over… we will now be absorbed into Khalodian Empire… but maybe that’s for the better.”

He seemed dumbfounded.
