Chapter 788

Larissa licked her lips in disappointment as she muttered. “Then how the hell did you even know me

Her high school life was incredibly simple. In order to get into an important university and change her late by escaping the Seymour family, she spent every single moment of her life studying..

Any free time she had she was studying at home and revising her work. She never wasted time on anything else.

In other words, Kevan could not have known her at all unless he was in the same school as her..

Larissa’s blank expression did not seem lake.

Kevan’s tense feelings relaxed again. He had been excited and happy then because he thought she finally remembered him. But in the end, she did not, and disappointment took over Kevan.

He’d had her in his heart for so many years. He thought of her every day and night and never forgot about her. He thought that he was special to her at least.

But now he realized that he was only a random nobody to her. He never mattered in her life.

“I didn’t know you before we first met in Regal Dynasty.” Kevan looked down. The hands in his pockets turned into fists. His cold voice had a hint of self–deprecation in it.

“I don’t remember where the picture came from, I probably saw it by chance and thought it was nice, so I saved it and made it my wallpaper.”

He did not want her to know that he had lost his heart to her so long ago. He had to hold onto what little dignity he had left. However, his explanation did not convince Larissa.

Although the picture’s background was blurry, one could still tell that it was the gates of Bartham’s Keystone High School. The person who took this photo could only be a classmate or an alumnus.

But none of these people seemed to have any connection to Kevan.

His “saw it by chance” was a little too random.

“Really?” Larissa stared at him suspiciously.

“Why would I lie to you?” Kevan smiled, “I have no reason to lie for this sort of thing.”

Larissa thought about it, and she really could not think of anything that he could gain by lying to her.

“Fine.” She gave up trying to figure out where the picture came from as she soltened her tone to discuss with him. “Can you please change the picture? It’s too ugly.”

Her disdain for her old sell was real. Kevan raised an eyebrow. “It’s not like I can’t change it. His tone, his expression Larissa’s eye twitched. She ignored the bad feeling she got and waited for Kevan to continue.

“This is the only picture in my laptop that can be used as a wallpaper,” Kevan said casually. “Unless you give me a new picture. Otherwise. I can’t change it.”

This request was very simple, Larissa sighed in relief and asked, “Why kind of pictures do you like? I find some for you later and email them to you.”

“Any kind is fine. But just one thing-“Kevan paused as he smiled wider. “It has to be a picture of you.”

Larissa froze.

“This…” She hesitated and refused in a roundabout way. “I don’t like taking pictures of myself. Why don’t you use Aster’s pictures instead? I have a lot on my phone. I can send them all to you.”

Kevan had no plans to discuss things with her. He slammed his laptop shut and grabbed it “I’m not changing it then.” He began to walk out. “Aster said he wanted to play games on my laptop this afternoon. I’ll ask him what the name of the game he wanted to play was and download it for him tonight.”

If he lent his laptop to Aster, the kid would see her old photo too.
