Chapter 390: Ch 390: Cyr Mistveil
Chapter 390: Ch 390: Cyr Mistveil
The handsome man in the spaceship was Cyr Mistveil, a powerful figure from beyond this universe.
Universe...?
Maybe not!
"The creatures in this corner of the Astral Sea are truly audacious. They dare to call this tiny galaxy a Universe. They really have no sense of their place in the grand scheme of things." Cyr snorted coldly and spoke.
The people serving him trembled in fear. They didn't dare to refute their lord's words.
In the end, an old man stepped forward. Surprisingly, this old man's aura was similar to Atticus's Aura in terms of momentum. Doesn't it mean, this old man was at least a True Divinity?
Surprisingly, a True Divinity was actually just a servant working under Cyr's rules.
The old man spoke, "Young Lord Cyr, this Astral Sea is truly strange. We've traversed five galaxies now, yet the creatures inhabiting them seem to lack any understanding of what a Galaxy truly is, let alone the concept of a Universe. What I find most peculiar is that even though they are ignorant of galaxies and the vast Astral Seas, they still use the term Universe. It's almost as if..."
"It is as if someone has deliberately cut off the true information and pushed this Astral Sea into isolation," Cyr completed the old man's sentence, his brow furrowing. "As though a veil has been placed over their understanding, confining them to their own limited perception of what the Universe is, while the true vastness remains hidden from them."
"It truly is strange!"
Everyone in the spaceship nodded their heads.
"Anyway, whoever is plotting whatever, it has nothing to do with me. We have come to this galaxy with a purpose. According to the information we've received, the Stone of Immortality is somewhere in this galaxy. All we have to do is find the Stone of Immortality and leave.
We don't have to get involved in someone else's scheme." Cyr spoke while waving his head, causing a blurry image to appear in front of his eyes. This blurry image reflected a stone's photo that appeared ethereal.
"Yes, Lord Cyr!"
Everyone on the spaceship nodded their heads and prepared to leave the spaceship.
The old man looked at everyone and said "We'll start searching from this world filled with dark and deathly aura. This world is called Grand Demon Pass. Let's disperse!"
When everyone left, Cyr looked in a certain direction and muttered, "I have a strange feeling about this galaxy."
Then he called the AI and asked it to tell him about a few nearby planets. In the end, he locked on one of them and mutter, "Interesting. It seems I'm fated with them. I'll go there!"
With that, he asked the AI to move in the selected planet's direction.
.....
In the boundless desert, a figure was walking alone. There was a long trail of footsteps behind him, stretching all the way to the horizon.
This was Cyr Mistveil. He was searching for signs of beasts. There seemed to be no living creatures in the desert, but actually, there were many beasts hiding below the sand.
Earlier, Cyr had killed ten rounds of desert beasts that attacked him.
The sun hung high in the sky, burning the land below. Direct exposure to the sun in the desert might cost you your life, but Cyr was casually strolling through the desert. His lips weren't dry, and there was no perspiration seen on his forehead or body. He looked as if he was taking a walk after a meal.
Everything was normal, if you ignored the strange cries coming from his mouth.
"Hell no, they are not here!"
"It seems I've come to the wrong location!"
"Anyway, this dessert is strange. It is not normal at all. There must be something here!"
Cyr spoke in a soft voice as he continued walking.
Suddenly, there was a movement under the sand to his left. With a bang, a black figure shot out. It was a huge Sandstorm Serpent.
Cyr's eyes lit up as if he had seen a treasure. The instant the huge Sandstorm Serpent pounced on him, Cyr swung his fist.
"Bang!"
The huge Sandstorm Serpent flew out a long way. All the bones in its body broke, and it fell weakly to the ground. It had died just like that.
One punch was enough to kill a Life Creation Stage Beast.
Cyr's eyes shone. He received the large Sandstorm Serpent and stored it in his spatial ring.
After that, he continued walking.
As expected, not long after that, the sand around him churned once again, and numerous huge Sandstorm Serpents started crawling out. They roared at Cyr.
"Roar!" "Roar!" "Roar!"
Cyr had provoked the entire serpent race when he killed that huge Sandstorm Serpent. This was their territory. They were always the predators. They wouldn't allow an invader to wreak havoc in their base.
"Boom!"
Two larger Sandstorm Serpents appeared in front of Cyr. Based on the intensity of their energy, they were all actually Life Creation Stage Beasts.
Just as Cyr had guessed previously, this desert is truly strange to be able to produce so many Life Creation Stage beasts.
It has to be known that there might not be ten Life Creation Stage warriors in one world, but there were dozens of such beasts in just a single desert.
It was truly strange.
Moreover, there were even two Death Domination Stage beasts among them. This was extremely rare!
The Sandstorm Serpents around them moved aside to clear a path for these two bosses, who stopped in front of Cyr and said, "Invader, how dare you invade the territory of our Sandstorm Serpent Race?"
"So what if I did?" Cyr cut it off.
"We…"
One of the Sandstorm Serpents wanted to continue speaking, but Cyr interrupted it once again. He pretended to be scared and said, "What do you want to do? Do you want to eat me? You're so cruel. This is so scary!"
The Sandstorm Serpent: "…"
This human didn't seem normal!
"Don't eat me. My meat is sour. It isn't nice at all. I'm not lying. Please believe me," Cyr continued hurriedly.
"I have eaten human meat before. It's delicious," the Death Domination Stage Sandstorm Serpent said calmly.
"No, no. I'm different from the other humans. My meat isn't good at all. I'm being honest, my body is poisonous." Cyr shook his head fervently as if he was terrified. At the same time, he kept retreating.
The Sandstorm Serpents around him inched closer when they saw him retreating. The entire area was packed with serpents. There was no path for him to escape.
Cyr didn't even know how many Sandstorm Serpents there were in this area. Let's forget about this desert, how did the Sandstorm Serpent Race manage to support so many Life Creation Stage and Death Domination Stage serpents? Where did the resources for their growth come from?
"There isn't much food here. Even if your body is poisonous, we will still eat it. Our bodies have Poison Immunity after all." The other Death Domination Stage Sandstorm Serpent said.
The Life Creation Stage Sandstorm Serpents got excited when they heard this. There was only one human, and he was definitely not enough to fill up their stomachs, but they hadn't enjoyed human meat in a long time. Hence, they were happy to have a small bite of him to cleanse their palate. After all, it wasn't easy to find a human here.
The Sandstorm Serpents bared their teeth and smiled eerily at Cyr.
"Wait, I have one of your friends. I brought your brother back," Cyr said suddenly.
"Brother?" The Death Domination Stage Sandstorm Serpent asked curiously.
"That's right. Take a look. I spent a lot of effort to save it. You should thank me." Cyr took out the huge Sandstorm Serpent from out of nowhere, surprising other serpents.
The instant this huge Sandstorm Serpent appeared; the other Sandstorm Serpents started getting restless. They hissed at the huge Sandstorm Serpent as if they had seen their greatest enemy.
The Sandstorm Serpent hadn't come to its senses yet. It opened its eyes in bewilderment and realized that it was in a familiar desert with many irritating and familiar fellows around it.
It lowered its body and hissed at all the Life Creation Stage and even the two Death Domination Stage Sandstorm Serpents.
Cyr was stunned. He didn't expect this.
What's this?
This huge Sandstorm Serpent seemed to be an enemy of this bunch of small-sized Sandstorm Serpents. It seemed angry to see them.
'I caught this huge Sandstorm Serpent hiding inside a cave at the edge of this desert. It was heavily injured at that time. It seems it was wounded by these serpents.'
It didn't take long for Cyr to realize that the huge Sandstorm Serpent he brought back was a mutated serpent and wasn't recognized by its clansmen.
"Haha, I didn't know that even beasts discriminate among their people... I mean their fellow clansmen... I mean fellow clans-beasts. Interesting." Cyr glanced around him with interest. There was even disdain in his gaze.
"Human, give this serpent to me," a Death Domination Stage Sandstorm Serpent said haughtily.
"What if I don't?" Cyr chuckled.
"Then you can die with it." The Death Domination Stage Sandstorm Serpent howled indignantly and ordered, "Kill these two!"
