Chapter 100 Reunion

Chapter 100 Reunion

Chapter 100 Reunion

The beauty of the sunset had given way to the night sky adorned with stars. Long Tian sat cross-legged, closing his eyes.

He wasn't just concentrating; he was delving into the depths of his own consciousness. Here, he took on a spectral form, and before him stretched an expansive ocean, with a clear galaxy panorama in the sky.

But he saw something different—a multitude of countless pillars made of darkness, seemingly supporting the sky.

He could deduce what they were, perhaps due to the power of darkness he had acquired.

Turning his gaze elsewhere, two colossal golden statues stood, representing his martial spirits, Zeus and Shen Long.

A contented smile graced Long Tian's face. All of this was the result of his diligent efforts over time; he had gained various powers and become much stronger since transmigrating to this world a month ago.

After spending some time in the sea of his consciousness, Long Tian returned to his senses and descended back to reality.

Entering the villa, he detected a delightful aroma emanating from the back room. As he walked in, he found Li Yue'er busy in the kitchen, cooking.

He smiled and approached her. "That smells delicious. What are you cooking?" he inquired.

Li Yue'er noticed him, and with a warm smile, she said, "I'm making soup, and luckily, it's ready. Would you like to try it?" Li Yue'er offered.

"Sure," Long Tian responded.

"Alright," Li Yue'er carefully ladled some soup into a bowl and approached Long Tian. With a gentle and affectionate gesture, she brought the spoonful of soup to his lips, allowing him to savor it.

As Long Tian tasted the soup, he was pleasantly surprised.

"How does it taste?" Li Yue'er asked eagerly, her enthusiasm evident in her eyes.

"It's really good, seriously," Long Tian complimented.

Joy and pride immediately lit up Li Yue'er's face. "Thanks, this is a recipe my mother taught me. If you like it, I'll happily cook it for you every day," she said, a broad smile adorning her face.

"Well, I'd be delighted with that. With food this delicious, I won't need to go to a restaurant," Long Tian replied, smiling.

Li Yue'er smiled back, her happiness growing as Long Tian praised her.

"Alright, I've also prepared some other dishes for dinner," she mentioned.

With that, she served several other dishes she had cooked, and the two of them enjoyed dinner together.

Meanwhile, deep within a dark cave, Qin Chen held a scroll and a torch, exploring its depths.

The scroll had been acquired from a beggar on the street. He had been searching for treasure for a while but had consistently ended up in the wrong places. This time, he hoped his instincts were correct.

Before him, he saw a dead-end with a rocky surface, but when he glanced at the scroll, he knew he was on the right path.

"There must be something here," he muttered to himself.

After scrutinizing the surroundings and inspecting the dead-end in front of him, he deduced something.

He placed the torch on the ground and clenched his fist, striking the rock in front of him.

Bang!

The rock shattered immediately, revealing a beautiful scene. There was a pool in the middle, surrounded by various unknown plants.

Yet, amid this natural beauty, an upright coffin stood not far away.

He promptly opened the coffin, only to discover that it held something entirely unexpected – not a mummy, nor a vampire, but instead, a beautiful woman with snow-white hair, clad in the attire of an ancient cultivator.

Qin Chen was surprised. "This... she's incredibly beautiful," he said in admiration.

He observed the woman from various angles, checking for signs of life. But he felt no breath, and there were no indications of life.

"What should I do?" he muttered to himself, stroking his chin.

He glanced around and noticed some peculiar items, such as a box, an inverted cross, and a sword.

He examined each of them and sensed that they were far from ordinary, especially the mysterious sword, which filled him with an inexplicable sense of serenity when he held it.

A grin spread across his face as he said, "Hehehe, it looks like I've stumbled upon something remarkable. This shall be my primary sword."

Qin Chen was thoroughly pleased with the sword. His attention now turned to the small, enigmatic box. He picked it up and immediately attempted to open it, but it appeared securely locked.

He surveyed the surroundings, muttering to himself, "Let's see, there must be something that can unlock this box."

His eyes fell on the inverted cross. He picked it up and brought it closer to the box. Suddenly, the box emitted a deep red glow.

"Hahaha, I'm quite the genius," Qin Chen laughed.

The box gleamed even brighter, and a few moments later, it fully opened. Countless particles emerged and floated, entering the body of the woman inside the coffin.

The particles completely entered her form, and in the next moment, her eyes opened, revealing captivating blue pupils.

She moved slowly, stepping out of the coffin, her confusion apparent as she gazed around and eventually noticed Qin Chen.

Her gaze instantly turned cold, exuding a deadly intent as she lunged towards him, initiating a swift and lethal attack.

As Qin Chen tried to evade, her assault swiftly changed, and her strike found its mark on his face, sending him sprawling against the cave wall.

Bang!

Pain surged through him, and he realized that her strength far surpassed his own. Struggling to rise, he barely managed to get to his feet when the woman pointed her finger, which gleamed with a crimson light.

His eyes widened, and he dashed away as quickly as possible. Yet, his movements were anticipated by the woman, and a spherical burst of light shot from her finger, hurtling relentlessly towards Qin Chen.

Boom!

The spherical light detonated upon contact with his body, and a cloud of smoke and dust billowed from the ground.

As the haze gradually dissipated, Qin Chen lay sprawled on the ground, bearing burns across his body, his ability to move severely restricted. It seemed as though the woman possessed an uncanny ability to foresee his every move, leaving him no room for evasion.

Despite the agonizing pain coursing through his body, he struggled to rise. However, before she could deliver a final blow, the woman had closed the gap between them. She raised her hand slightly, and the mysterious sword floated into her grasp.

"Such a pitiful sight," the woman sneered.

Gritting his teeth and still battling to stand, Qin Chen watched as the sword neared his heart.

But just as the fatal blow seemed imminent, a brilliant light streaked from the cave's entrance, hurtling towards the woman.

Flash!

A radiant brilliance enveloped the surroundings, rendering the woman entirely immobile, her shock evident on her face.

Qin Chen was baffled by what had just occurred. He looked down and noticed a jade necklace secured around his neck.

His heart raced, and he recognized it instantly—it was his family's cherished heirloom jade necklace, previously stolen by Long Tian!

He gazed up at the woman, and above her, a familiar spectral figure materialized. His astonishment deepened.

"It's been a while, Qin Chen," Shen Yulan greeted, wearing a smile.

"Lady Shen, it's you!" Qin Chen exclaimed joyfully.

"Yes, it's been a month, and my agreement with Long Tian has concluded," Shen Yulan explained.

A surge of elation swept over Qin Chen, and he laughed heartily. "Hahaha, this is the best news I've heard."

"Well, now I'm here. I didn't anticipate you running into trouble; fortunately, I arrived just in time," Shen Yulan remarked, still employing her technique to immobilize the mysterious woman.

"Release me, you strange creature!" the woman spat.

"Heh, I never imagined sensing a soul from the world above. Which means my technique worked on you," Shen Yulan remarked with a grin.

"Tch, you're just a soul; don't think of yourself as my equal," the woman sneered.

"If you keep talking, I won't hesitate to obliterate your soul," Shen Yulan warned coldly, resuming her technique once more.

The woman appeared to be jolted by a surge of pain.

"Aaaaaargh! Stop it!" she shrieked in torment.

Shen Yulan halted her technique yet again. "Now, stay silent," she commanded sternly.

The woman seemed to have learned her lesson and refrained from further speech.

On the other hand, Qin Chen felt utterly perplexed. "Wait, Lady Shen, what do you mean by the world above?" he inquired with curiosity.

"I won't divulge that information to you just yet, Qin Chen. You're not quite ready," Shen Yulan replied.

Hearing this, Qin Chen felt somewhat disappointed. "Sigh, very well. Anyway, lady Shen, this woman intended to kill me. Can you do something with her?" he inquired.

"Hmmm, let's see," Shen Yulan pondered, stroking her chin as she observed the woman.

"Don't do anything foolish!" the woman cautioned.

A sly grin crossed Shen Yulan's face. "I believe I have a brilliant idea. I will employ a blood bond technique to make her your mentor," she said.

"Don't jest with me! I could never become the mentor of this pathetic brat!" the woman retorted immediately, rejecting the idea.

In contrast, Shen Yulan chuckled ominously. "Unfortunately, you have no grounds to negotiate with me. It's best if you remain silent," she stated, sending another surge of electricity through the woman's soul.

This time, the woman couldn't move her lips, as if she had been sealed by Shen Yulan.

Meanwhile, Qin Chen raised an eyebrow. "Her as my mentor? Lady Shen, it might sound good, but I already have you," he said, offering a smile.

"I understand, but currently, I exist solely in a spectral form, and my abilities are limited. However, with her and her powers, she can protect you," Shen Yulan replied.

"But you won't leave me, right?" Qin Chen asked earnestly.

Shen Yulan smiled reassuringly. "Certainly not," she affirmed.

"Phew, that's a relief. So, let's proceed with it!"
