Chapter 115: Red Monster

Chapter 115: Red Monster

Seth gave the reason why he was delayed. Redop nodded and he looked at the sun above. "We will wait till sunset before we go in. But let me see the bag!"

Seth didn't get close to the man and then threw the bag at him. Opening it Redop eyes became wide open, "they are all the best ones!" He exclaimed and he looked at seth.

Seth smugly smiled, 'I told you so!'

"Good! You did great!" Redop said, full of a smile. "You know people like us can go far away from the village because if a wild beast smells they may end up coming to our village. That's why we rarely came across red cores like this."

"It's understandable. So how much value is this one!"

"Value. Haha, this is enough to last us a year. And I mean we can reinforce the town shield for a year and still have reserves to improve our homes!" Redop said with a smile.

The two talked and Seth felt that he was at ease when they sat together under the same mountain!

"If you are a resident, this much contribution will grant you land. But I will speak with the chief to still give the land, if he agrees all you have to do is amass more contribution to fully own it!"

"Thank you, Mr Redop. But there was something I wanted to ask if I'm not being annoying!"

"Ask away!" Redop said not bothered.

"Your family are nice but your daughter gave you a weird creepy look!" Seth asked.

Redop was taken aback but then he said, "She hates visitors. To tell you the truth, Red Eye Village we're plagued with a curse by the Ghost at midnight. Those that survived the curse have their personality altered to a certain extent. That's what happened to her."

"What is your curse then?" Seth asked as he eyed the man.

"Freedom. I desire freedom. That is why I was the only one bold enough to come out here almost any time to welcome travellers. And I hate travellers too, only those that can contribute I like. Just like now!"

"What can I do more to help the town?" Seth asked.

"I guess you shouldn't worry about that for now." Redop looked Seth in the eye and said, "Just try to survive the night. It will take some time before we raise the powerful dome."

Seth nodded.

The due returner to the village in the night and Seth met with Dave Jona. The guy was scared shitless, thinking Seth was captured or killed or even ran away and left him to rot in place.

At midnight, Seth was still worried as he looked at the red bubble at the top of the town. Whenever one of the man's faces gazed at him, he felt like screaming his lungs out.

Suddenly, the whole room's inscriptions lit up at the same time. Under Seth, his shadow has enlarged and this time he noticed it.

The more the shadow moved, the more the inscription glowed. Obviously, they are suppressing it. Another thing was, Seth felt as if he sensed this before but it was different. He remembered that there was a pack of shadows that midfield his staff when he hit the ground.

Silently, Seth brought out the small bag that contained red stones and three there more on the grown which also increased the script's power.

What Seth didn't know was that the Redop Shadow that helped him last time was no longer with him, and that is why he was attacked now by another shadow.

Seth shortened his staff and then bent down with his Aura Sight which can see the mass of shadow moving like a thick liquid, he then closed his eyes and thought of letting the Aura of the dragon embedded on the short sword before he stabbed it. The shadow squealed and then melted and disappeared.

Tud!

Something heavy fell down not far from his house. He wanted to check but knowing that he may end up causing a sound he didn't open the door.

Seth calmed down and started at his normal short blade. Because he hasn't fought much he wasn't able to learn secrets but now, he will be facing a lot of danger, for that reason he had to know his strength and weakness.

'Back in the Trials I almost killed a Six-wing dragon and that makes my short sword have a Six-wing strike that I use to kill crodo! But that wasn't it, the aura of that attack was still in the sword and it made it possible to harm hornet creatures with ease!'

Seth found out about the Aura after his Aura Sight was active and he attacked the giraffe when he was running to reach the forest in time. What happened was the giraffe split in two and avoided his blade but then it stiffened.

Seth at that time too saw a flash of light that overwhelmed his eyes and he even fell to the ground.

And that is what happened now too.

'If I stabbed the shadow when my eyes aren't active will the Aura affect it?' Seth wondered and then realized, his eyes being active make the dragon's Aura in the sword active, does that mean his Aura was semi-active?'

'A whopping jump of 12%. It Looked like comprehension was another keyway to activate my aura!'

'Wait let me try something!'

Seth holds the sword and thinks of the dragon Aura to hide. He then activated his Aura Sight. Holding his sword, Seth calmed his mind, and his heart slowed down then he entered stealth.

Then he will for his Aura to pass to the blade. Nothing happened but…

Ding!

Seth stayed in that position for some time until he heard an explosion! Seth stood and listened. Whoever attacked him with shadow was fighting the Red bubbles and they were being overwhelmed. Since they are behind his door Seth can't see what is happening.

Seth bent on the door and then slid the sharp part of his sword in the opening beneath the door then he activated his Aura Sight and owned his eyes then he thought of the Dragon Aura to appear.

Sizzling!

The short sword seemed to make a strange sound before the struggling banished as the Red Bubbles ran away leaving the person.

'So, there is that!' Seth frowned.

He pulled his sword back and peek but the person was already leaving the place. "You are strange?" A voice was heard behind him. Seth turned with a startle and swung his sword at him.

"You can speak. No need to worry about the Red Bubbles!" A man in Red flowing robes said. He was young, about 23years by face but carried a dignified pressure that made Seth want to kneel before him. He was even more imposing than Abuhe.

"Don't you have manners? Can't you greet your chief?"

"Good day, sir. But this is private property."

"Property that I have complete authority over. My name is Red Bubble Bouncer, and I'm on the verge of Red Valley. It has come to my attention that you provide an astronomical amount of Grade 1 Red Core. Do you mind telling me how you managed that?"

"I wandered around in the dead land during the day and picked them!"

"How did you differentiate between good and bad?"

"I have a skill that helped me!"

The dashing handsome young man stared at Seth. He then nodded. "Fratile Redone wanted me to assess you and I refused. However, after I saw what you provide I think of doing so. Come to me tomorrow and revive your first mission!" Saying that the man disappeared and left behind a red slip.

[Chiif Invitation]

Seth sighed and put the invitation in his pocket. 'Red Bubble!' Seth thought the chief could see them as well as the town enforcers. But the normal citizen not everyone can see them. They only called them Ghosts.

He was at that when the light went down came and the Red Bubble vanished leaving behind a clear sky. The sound of the town also returned to normal. Seth can even hear the cry of a baby.

Turning towards the door, suddenly something smashed at his window. In time, he moved away, it was a giant hand, his own size, and the massive humanoid monster was outside.

The monster pulled his hand, punched the window wall and another door open, then bent down and looked at Seth at the other end of the room.
